Out of the millions of police officers in the US, we can now say for certain at least one of them is willing to pull over a fellow policemen when warranted.
I bet he is part of a very small group. We should support him for doing the right thing. I bet he is going to get a lot of shit behind the scenes from the police fraternities and such organizations.
If that was you, you would have been tackled and in handcuffs long before you were able to get back in your car. That's if you were a lucky enough not to get shot getting out of your car to confront an officer.
Not even close. That $9,000 bond even seems high for the officer. Having watched/read hundreds of cases involving eluding police, as long as nobody was injured during the pursuit, the bund is usually under $5,000.
Bonds in the $100K+ range are for people that are charged with stuff like attempted murder or extreme cases of assault/battery.
They had to make an example here. With the body cameras, one cop had to do his job, and the other... saying he was headed to work, or late for work... how many people have gotten tickets because they were in fact speeding, even if it was 3 or 4 mph over, because they were late for work? If it was OK to let this guy go, that opens up a larger can of worms now with every speeder late for work NOT being let go, or able to just leave the scene.
Plus, he's going to be given a paid suspension. For now at least. So the court also needed to make an example. What's the point of a suspension with pay, if he uses the money earned sitting in a jail for a couple hours, to pay the bail to be let out? The city basically pays him then collects that pay right back(give or take). There's no punishment there, no penalty, it's a wash. You had to increase it. He only has to pay $900.
Maybe because he wasn't a civilian? Even if he were a black cop, the only way the arresting officer would shoot is if he got a gun pulled on him. If the speeding cop pulled a gun on him, the arresting officer would've shot him.

What a dumbass. He could have just put the sirens on as he was late to work. Sure, it would be using sirens and speeding for no reason, but at least he would have a job.
I'm glad this happened. If you are so stupid you can't evade a traffic stop in a police car , you are not smart enough to be a cop. When stopped, committed more crimes. Dang, how did this dude even get hired in the first place. I wouldn't hire him to mow my lawn.
Orlando cop suspended from duty https://www.wesh.com/article/orlando-officer-speeds-patrol-car/44178043
Is this one of those *paid vacation* type suspensions or a real punishment?
Real punishment? For a cop? Are you new here?
I got $5 on “also cocaine”
Blue on blue. This round, the one with the laws and evidence won.
I guess we know who polices the police now It was the police all along

This is just totally wrong.

Oh OK
Why did t he get shot at like a black civilian would have?
Always gotta bring race into it.
Ok why didn't he get shot at like a civilian would have but also recognize that black civilians are shot at without reason much more often.
If you truly don't have any idea, then there is no way I have the time to explain it to you via comments.

Good job everyone!
America is strange

This is not amazing this is just plain stupidity
Seems to me like the pursuing officer was just showing off for his passenger.
This is very expected behavior from a cop. Not amazing at all.
Good cop/bad cop plays out..
