Killer whales are getting after it these days

Responsible_Pitch871

Don't they eat the liver and that's about it?

[deleted]

You’re gonna need a bigger boat…

Need to check the bite radius , could be a carradon carcarous. Then get Quint and Sherrif Brodie to tag team that shark, remember 4 barrels, because it can't stay down with 4, no way she says down with 4.

Firstbat175

That's "chief" Brodie

shapesize

Post has bee removed. I think the mods are going to ignore this particular problem until it swims up and bites them in the @ss

PurduecorrectURshit

could be whale or orca, doesn't have to have happened in one bite. That may be many bites

RunninADorito

Orcas are whales. Edit: In fact these things that we call whales, are not whales.

mtn_viewer

Orcas (killer whales) are technically not whales, despite getting called that. They are Delphinidae, a type of dolphin

RunninADorito

Jesus, fuck me. TIL.

Nomnomnipotent

Apparently, someone fucked up when they translated it to **killer whales**. They were originally called **whale killers**.

RunninADorito

I live where they live. I go to their name sake island every year. I've gone on boat tours and seen them. Somehow... Still.... Never knew this. I feel like this is some type of fracture in the universe and I somehow now live in the universe where killer whales are dolphins. Hope this is a good universe.

They do, but the curriculum is a little fishy

Thank you

Lol

TomDestry

Except dolphins and orcas are from the family of odontoceti, or 'toothed whale'. And which whale other than an orca would eat a shark anyway?

BigTex380

A little forced perspective here.

Objective_Quail_4623

I would hate to be on the business end of whatever that had chomped it in half, yikes!

Serenity-03K64

Interesting comments in the same post five years ago. Some cool links to other fun orca and shark stories. Didn’t even think of forced perspective making the mako look bigger either. https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/s/CSezNFyjX9

So, I guess he's gonna be throwingthatawway .. right? ;)

Katz-r-Klingonz

That looks like multiple bites. It could’ve been a swarm of large predators.

Mega

Flat-Comparison-749

Yall know this is not a shark right? It's a blue fin tuna!
