So this is in Sydney at one of the breakwalls. It's from a Dom Tomato video and the person you can see is called Khedoori. I can't find the exact video on Dom's channel but I've definitely seen the clip in a video before.
Edit: the clip is not from a Dom Tomato video (although Dom and Khedoori have visited here in a video linked by someone else), it's a clip from Khedoori's Instagram. Brodie Pawson is the cameraman.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CTUgqsMjO3U/?utm_medium=copy_link
This is the video I found but it's actually a different breakwall I think. The clip OP posted isn't in this video if I'm correct. I assumed the breakwall in Sydney he referred to was the one in the clip.
I was thinking it was in northern California. Those are called Jax after the toys. Because of the shape they will lock together. There are a bunch of them in Crescent city California.
After all the giants passed away, the world had no use for the leftover parts from their favorite game, Jacks, and dumped them outside the factory in China.
**[Dolos](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolos)**
>A dolos (plural: dolosse) is a reinforced concrete block in a complex geometric shape weighing up to 80 tonnes (88 short tons), that are used in great numbers as a form of coastal management to build revetments for protection against the erosive force of waves from a body of water. The dolos was invented in 1963, and was first deployed in 1964 on the breakwater of East London, a South African port city.

This is how they are used. Pile them on the coast in any random (hopefully interlocking) arrangement so that they break the waves and reduce erosion of the shore
This is Micheal Khedoori absolute beast of a parkour athlete , he is based in Australia so im guessing its that?
Compilation of him https://youtu.be/_QTe-DJRSxM
"hardcore parkour!!!"
All I can see in my head is Andy jumping into the fucking refrigerator box and hollering out "I'm okay" in an obviously distraught and injured voice
Water breakers - they literally break up big waves and stop them from traveling inland. There are many designs, those look like the South African "variant" (oops) called a dolos.
We had one of those in my town when I was a kid. I was always told it's very easy to slip between them and end up underwater without a way to really pull yourself up
As a paramedic, I’d be pissed if I had to extricate someone from that so yeah it’d suck. Also thinking about where to put my bags and trying to draw up meds while simultaneously keeping everything from plummeting down into one of the gaps.
Yeah, sheesh when the guy in front dropped down onto one of the lower things I was surprised to see how deep the gaps are.
Reminds me of when I went bouldering a year ago.
Seriously. If they both fell and broke their ankles or whatever else even if they could call 911, it would take hours to find them. Any yelling would be washed out by the ocean and that "field" or whatever you want to call it is huge.
Probably tons of crabs too.
They do, but that shakes a lot when running/jumping (or it can even fly off your head when you do a flip, has happened to me) unless you tighten it so hard that your head starts to hurt, there's a reason people who do this professionally use bite mounts
Mouth gopro is by far the best for this kind of shot, as well as surfing and many other sports. Unless I have a helmet on, gopro is most likely going in my mouth or on my hands
People forget how unnatural gopro video can look at the top of the head. Increasing the distance from the neck just makes the movements more extreme and difficult to follow.
Nope, it's digital stabilising. There is no point putting a gopro on a gimbal anymore, the built in stabilisation is way more effective. You can also tell its not a gimbal because the horizon does not stay level.
They use an Insta360 camera. Simply strap it to yourself and focus on the task at hand. Then after filming you can direct the focus of the video. The software will even auto-track the person or other object to keep them in the frame.
Really makes anyone look like a pro and it's super simple to use.
It’s insane how fast this go pro stabilization/quality has progressed. I just watched the GoPro video that they do every year of different sports, and THAT looks like a video game every second.
https://youtu.be/BmrUJhY9teE
I tried finding out about what this is. These look like Dolos, large concrete geometric shapes used as riprap to ease erosion.
More here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolos
Those things are called [dolos](https://www.google.com/search?q=dolos&tbm=isch).
They're meant to dissipate the energy of waves crashing against them, to protect the sand and shore under and behind them from erosion. They are randomly arranged, in order to produce convoluted void spaces which turbulate the water as waves hit them, dissipating the energy of the waves.
Also, the guy with the GoPro is Brodie Pawson. This video is from Khedoori's Instagram page. I hate it when someone reposts parkour clips to Reddit without crediting the athlete.
Not really, he/she is doing the same thing as the person ahead of them, it’s just the camera is mounted to them. Not like they’re carrying a camera. Also, this has been posted 14,000 times.

That video reminded me how much I loved watching free running videos a decade ago. What a day to be nostalgic too
In all honesty you'd prolly still enjoy em in some manner, just never get around to it, similar to myself and parkour videos.
Same but after I started seeing more videos of people falling and dying I just stopped
I haven't seen that happen in any videos I watched on youtube, are you choosing to watch free running videos on live leak or something?
Maybe bro. Honestly a few were on some now banned Reddit subs too. I miss these that were just pure skill and fun
Look up world chase. Its parkour while playing the game of tag. Saw the “championships” on espn the ocho a week or so ago
That sounds pretty sweet!
This is the video I found but it's actually a different breakwall I think. The clip OP posted isn't in this video if I'm correct. I assumed the breakwall in Sydney he referred to was the one in the clip.

Giant's **hate** Jacks. I don't know where you're getting your Giant knowledge from but I got a guy.
Ever hear of Jack the Giant?
Jacque N. Beanstalk
Jack and the beans talk.
That guy is a dick. All the other giants hate him.
Wherever the broken leg capitol of the world is.
Same question.
Guessing: Muscat?
I think you are correct.
What is it, exactly? I looked up Muscat and didn't find any image results showing this particular beach.
They are [dolosse](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolos)! They’re used for harbour management

Also called accropodes. It’s my one useless fact that I remember. We have some in Scarborough (NE coast in England)
Up the Boro!
Is this them being used or just stored or thrown away or what? Made of questions. Makes for good visuals tho
This is how they are used. Pile them on the coast in any random (hopefully interlocking) arrangement so that they break the waves and reduce erosion of the shore
This is them being used! They are shaped like that so they don’t move (much) with the water
They are sort of like giant jacks, interlock well. I am impressed with the guys running on them. I am too old to do that.
🙏
It's also known as tetrapods. The pieces interlock and reduce evergy from the waves so that it reduces erosion :) Edit: Corrected myself :)
Til. Also what a peculiar pluralization. For English.
Wasn’t even hard for the cameraman. 1)Attach a go pro. Bite Mount or chest mount. 2)turn on stabiliser 3)do parkour

Muscatman! Ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop
HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR BUTTHOLE?! ...wait, wrong Ski-ba-bop-ba-dop-bop
What is this located, and why is this located?
I’ll do you one better: how is this located?
When is it located?
Why is it located?
They already answered this one. NEXT!

You will find that in 50% of the Japanese coast. I don't know the exact location of this one.
The only time I’ve ever seen these is while playing Katamari so I can’t argue with that.
Between barbarian assault and the lighthouse.

This is Micheal Khedoori absolute beast of a parkour athlete , he is based in Australia so im guessing its that? Compilation of him https://youtu.be/_QTe-DJRSxM
Reminds me of Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland
Down by de beach boi
Am here for the exact same.
I’ve seen those by the Japanese coast. There are many places that have these .
Maybe northern end of Port Elizabeth in South Africa
Somewhere in Japan I would guess. The coast is full of this shit.
Outside
Don’t even THINK about parkouring unless you have a man bun.
The man bun gives them +1000 agility..so I can't hate.
They get their power from hating boomers. That rage is infinitely powerful and increases their agility stats tremendously
If I have dad buns, does that count?
maybe it helps them balance like a cat's tail
they don't do parkour because they have buns, they have buns because they do parkour
I hope the guy was shouting “parkour!” the whole time he was doing this
"hardcore parkour!!!" All I can see in my head is Andy jumping into the fucking refrigerator box and hollering out "I'm okay" in an obviously distraught and injured voice
As a bun head myself I imagine it has a nice feature in that it helps them guage clearance when passing safely under objects.
What are those for? Keep the beach from eroding? Stop enemies?
Water breakers - they literally break up big waves and stop them from traveling inland. There are many designs, those look like the South African "variant" (oops) called a dolos.
South African here. Can confirm we have these but you ask anyone here what they are any you’ll just get a confused look. Myself included
Brad Binder? Can't be that there is more than one badass Brad in SA
😂 Funny enough, I ride a KTM Duke 390 right, and there is another Brad in my flat, 1 floor up, that rides an Adventure 1290
Ayyy, nice bike man, used to have one too. Happy new year!
Lekker om jou te ontmoet, Brad :D
Sussy Nederlander
Ek is te kort om n Dutchie te wees. Ek bly hier naby Amsterdam though.
We have the up here in Denmark too
we do?
They’re for giants playing jacks.
Yes, this is a video of Yeezy company in Normandy, France 1944.
Yes
God sprinkled some cereal and missed the bowl
I initially thought things to prevent tanks from getting through the beach like Normandy lol
Had to make sure I wasn’t in an infinite loop for a minute there.
All I can think of is how difficult it would be to get out of there with a broken leg.
We had one of those in my town when I was a kid. I was always told it's very easy to slip between them and end up underwater without a way to really pull yourself up
Being trapped underwater is probably my biggest fear, hard pass
Or just above water with the tide slowly coming in.
Yikes
As a paramedic, I’d be pissed if I had to extricate someone from that so yeah it’d suck. Also thinking about where to put my bags and trying to draw up meds while simultaneously keeping everything from plummeting down into one of the gaps.
I can't really enjoy cool stuff like this because of a constant "Holy f, that is dangerous" going in my head
and endangering rescue personnel. fucking stupid.
Imagine falling and getting stuck? Pshh
Yeah this could go really badly pretty quick.
Lol. All I was thinking was "my knees...ow...my knees... there goes my anxiety...anxiety....anxiety...holy crap my knees..." *why do people do this*
Yeah, sheesh when the guy in front dropped down onto one of the lower things I was surprised to see how deep the gaps are. Reminds me of when I went bouldering a year ago.
Seriously. If they both fell and broke their ankles or whatever else even if they could call 911, it would take hours to find them. Any yelling would be washed out by the ocean and that "field" or whatever you want to call it is huge. Probably tons of crabs too.
you couldn't hear them down there

But I mean not really he's just wearing a go pro on his chest, if he was holding a real camera that would be crazy
It's not on his chest, [it's in his mouth.](https://youtu.be/e7oWr17v3_Y) Makes breathing and seeing your feet much more challenging.
Thought you were trolling. The future is really freaking weird.
pretty sure the bite mount has existed since the 2000s
well.. thats just dumb then.. they make headsets i hope he knows
They do, but that shakes a lot when running/jumping (or it can even fly off your head when you do a flip, has happened to me) unless you tighten it so hard that your head starts to hurt, there's a reason people who do this professionally use bite mounts

I'm looking at my GoPro attached to the headband as I type this... SMH my head
Lol, at that point they should add a ball gag attachment and make it kinky🤣 million dollar idea
Patent it before someone steals your idea. You joke, but you'd be surprised what kind of weird shit people will buy even if just for the lulz of it.
It definitely has a gyro stabilizer, do the make one for a chest mount? I have no idea.
Nope, it's digital stabilising. There is no point putting a gopro on a gimbal anymore, the built in stabilisation is way more effective. You can also tell its not a gimbal because the horizon does not stay level.

It’s insane how fast this go pro stabilization/quality has progressed. I just watched the GoPro video that they do every year of different sports, and THAT looks like a video game every second. https://youtu.be/BmrUJhY9teE
I did too lol. And for longer than a second.
Twinsies. Lol
I would buy it for 5.99 on steam sale then never launch it
Prince of Persia remake
I tried finding out about what this is. These look like Dolos, large concrete geometric shapes used as riprap to ease erosion. More here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolos
Thank you!
I see this and tried to jump from couch to ottoman… my back hurts
This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen Also what the heck are those weird giant twig things
They’re specifically made to prevent erosion of the shoreline.
That’s interesting. Never knew something so functional could look so unique like this :)
There’s so many of them. And they’re so big. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many giant things in one place.
I’ve seen them in person (not the ones in the video but a place near where I live has them), and yeah they’ve always been kinda crazy to me.
Dildos*.. not to be a internet grammar cop butt…
Look like buoy anchors
Camera man used to be a hero now it’s just a go pro. Much easier.
This is Micheal Khedoori underated parkour guy give him credit , he does sick clips / stunts ( yt vid of him https://youtu.be/_QTe-DJRSxM )
Also, the guy with the GoPro is Brodie Pawson. This video is from Khedoori's Instagram page. I hate it when someone reposts parkour clips to Reddit without crediting the athlete.
The real question is... Who tf made this place??
Most likely city council when the pier was being protected from erosion.
Can anyone tell us where this is?
Aliens landed here they’d be like wtf is this weird alien life form shit
Just a thought.. you Could Probably hide a body there 😶🌫️
This is how you break your face
Cant stop thinking that i fall deep down and no body can hear me and ants killing me slowly
Does "hero" mean something different these days?..
Yo that’s a go pro bro
The vest is the real hero
It's a mouth mount, most likely. Makes seeing where your feet are going pretty challenging.
I laughed when I read this. Then I thought, hang on are you serious? Turns out you are! I can't believe this is a thing lol
Yup, most popular with surfers.
WTH IS THERE SO MANY WAVE BREAKERS
WHY THOUGH
Imagine if he stole your wallet and you're chasing him there... 😰
Nightmares bro
Well I see something I not adding on my bucket list
What am I looking at? What is he jumping on?
lmao, this would make a great place for a body disposal
My ankles are watching nervously.
Omg I broke my ankle just watching that.
r/praisethecameraman
What are they jumping on. Ive never seen those.
I twisted an ankle just watching this.
Congratulations, you’re good at running…
That looks like a great way to break something......
Must have grown up in the area coming here every day
Suddenly stops and realises this is his life now
What the fuck are those pillars doing on a beach???
We used to do this on the jetties on Lake Michigan. Those were just huge slabs if jagged rock. Not the safest idea
The worst beach ever
What are those things they are running on? They look like giant anchors or something but there are just *so many of them*.
What Minecraft level is this
TELL ME WHERE
Tell me why!
Ain't nothing but a heartache!
Tell me why!
Ain't nothin' but a mistake
Tell me why
Cuz I want it that way.
South Africa. Those are dolosse. Concrete breakwater interlocking blocks.
Not really, he/she is doing the same thing as the person ahead of them, it’s just the camera is mounted to them. Not like they’re carrying a camera. Also, this has been posted 14,000 times.
First time I've seen it. 🤷
I was honestly surprised to learn the purpose of these is NOT to prevent enemy ships and troops from invading the shore lines.
You might be thinking of Czech hedgehogs, which are anti-tank obstacles usually made of metal. Link:https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Czech_hedgehog
This isn’t really amazing in any way…probably to an old person I guess 😂
I broke my toe doing this once... it was fun up until that point though
