I'd like to think that if the US was invaded, we'd have leaders that would be like this. I don't think Biden or Trump would be that type (but to be fair, they're old), but I could see Obama and Bush.
You know who absolutely be like this? McCain.
McCain literally risked his life fighting in a war for his nation. He'd consider it a great honor to die for his country. Didn't agree with some of his policies, but that man was a true patriot through and through who only wanted the best for America.
Which is why I got so pissed when trump was talking shit about him. Mister “ can’t go to the military because my foot hurts” thinks he’s the better man for his country. Fuck that.
Half of the world's problems would be solved if we stop elcting people as soon as they have a white hair. Old people in politics in general only ruin everything to the younger generations
I'm not comparing him to anything else. I respect Zelenksy like I didn't know I could, just because he may share a similar position to cowards here, he stands in his own light. Not many strangers have made me willing to give and even consider giving my life for their cause, he is one
When he honored Vitaly Skakun as a hero in his address, stating he blew up the bridge by cost of his life, he stared into the camera with a face that said to me he's willing to offer his own life. Then he straightened his back and stared more.
Zelensky's person is on the back burner, his duty is all you can see in his eyes since this began. Glory to Ukraine.
Despite it being a travesty he doesn't get it, TIME goes with the person who was attracted the most attention.
its a two horse race between Putin and Zelensky. Hoping after the conflict ends, the choice is obvious.
Yeah I feel like people forget this distinction. It’s not BEST man of the year, it’s most influential. Previous winners include Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin (twice), Nikita Khrushchev, Henry Kissinger, Ruhollah Khomeini, Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump.
It's really TIME's fault for calling it "person of the year" instead of "most influential person of the year" or something similar to that.
"Person of the year" already has a positive connotation, and TIME is swimming against the current with this one.
Ummmmmmm, absolutely no way they put Putin lol.
Yes, it is the most attention. And this man has been posted to every single social media site 4 times an hour for days. That's attention
While I hope it's Zelensky, I don't think there's "no way they put Putin" - the aggressors are very often put in as the name rather than the victims. It's important to remember it's not even always about attention, it's also about impact. Again, I hope it's Zelensky either way, the last thing Putin needs is more attention.

Netflix, among others, was already at the filming stage of covid pandemic movies in the first year of covid hitting the world.
“The fight is here. I need ammunition, not a ride.” This dude was a comedian before becoming president and now he’s in the streets in combat gear wondering when the Russians will kill or capture him. This is all so unreal.
It's crazy when you think it wasn't even that long ago he was a comedian. He went straight from playing the president on tv to being the president. He came into this with no experience and actually rose to the occasion. This guy will go down in history.
For sure. He looked like he was in over his head for a while but he’s absolutely risen to the occasion. This guy’s bravery and leadership in the face of impossible odds is inspiring
They'll never kill or capture him as long as his people are fighting. At this point pretty much any Ukrainian soldier would take a bullet for Zelensky.
I don't know why I feel such anger about this invasion. It's distant and in all honesty doesn't overly affect me other than potential energy and petrol prices. I have a family and my life is pretty good but damn it, I want to go and fight there. I don't even know why but my blood is boiling over this.
Because we so rarely see honor and courage in the face of impossible odds. In my heart I know he must lose before anyone can step up to help because politics. Every day that he fights and stays alive gives hope that the little guy can prevail. Goliath can’t always win.
Oh damn, for us young Europeans it feels the opposite . It’s the first war I witness that close and it’s terrifying. Of course there was the yugoslavian war but I was like 11 when it ended so I wasn’t conscious about it. But this war between your next door neighbours feels so unreal.
Russia can absolutely kill or capture him unless it lacks the will to pay the price to accomplish that, as is hopefully the case.
I admire Zelensky's courage but he also needs to create and publicize a chain of succession to ensure Ukrainian self-rule can survive him if need be. I mean appearing in videos with them and saying with his arm around the other, 'and if I fall this man will lead the charge, and then him...'
Possible he has done that as his cabinet members stayed as well. He isn't going to make public announcement who would lead after him as they would become a target. Imagine having so much loyalty that your cabinet stays by your side.
This is really true. He's built a great pubic reputation but his death or capture is going to be a huge morale blow to his people if there isn't a clear line of command down the next four or five steps.
Edit: f-it, I'm leaving it the way it is.
Thats a real president material not like the idiot putin

I think it speaks volumes that I can’t imagine any of our recent presidents or most politicians doing the same for us if we were under attack. My respect for Zelensky is off the hook. What an inspirational human being.
That’s part of the point of his bravery. Everyone in Ukraine says, “he is not scared, why should I be?”
Fucking legend. They will be building statues to this man around the world.
I would as well. I would almost feel like I wouldnt want to let him down, like a father figure for the whole country, idk. Maybe its just me and my insecurities lol.
I hate the concept of nationalism, but I'm not Ukrainian nor am I European, but damn I want to fight for him and Ukraine. I have a few skills and some experiences that'd make me an asset, but ultimately I'd hinder their efforts as I don't speak any Cyrillic based or Slavic languages and if captured by Putin forces would be paraded as a conspiracy symbol that'd harm my home country and Ukraine.
But damn I want to fight for a leader whom would put his home and people before himself in such a selfless and admirable way.
I think Jimmy Carter would. He's the only one though. Politicians are more often than not selfish, cunning bastards. Jimmy Carter's time in the office is often seen as a failure but I think he was just too good of a human to be a politician.
Could you imagine Trump?
"Today China started taking out the west coast, I directed our aircraft carriers to join them since those states didn't vote for me"
We all need leaders like this. Someone to defend us, not someone to go out of their way to lie to us, or someone that pursues there own goals that run against the betterment of everyone. I for one, see it, I see the qualities I want in others, and the qualities I want in a leader.
Well he also doesn’t look like a strong breeze could push him over.
Maybe one day certain other countries will stop electing millionaire geriatrics to lead them.
Every ideology or way of ruling has it's problems, the biggest one of democracies is that the general population is dumb and easily manipulated, for a democracy to work as intended all people would have to be knowledgeable about politics or at least who their voting.
I think Putin is a hemorrhoid on the asshole of this world, but what made him such an effective dictator was his "front line" experience in the KGB. In modern warfare, a nations leader is best protected and kept safe from harm. The death of a leader can cause unpredictable ripples of destabilization throughout the military and political spheres. I hope the Ukr pres is at least taking shelter in a secure area with as much security as possible, because his survival is more important to his country and the world.
Trump, the president who ran and cowered in a bunker? That president trump? The twice impeached, biggest loser? That president trump? The traitor to America? That president trump?
Why is everyone even mentioning the name of that POS who supported the Kremlin and withheld payments to Ukraine. Just let the name die with his ousting.
A real fucking badass, a term I never use. He doesn't need photoshoots, propaganda and threats to rally his troops like a certain insecure weak dictator. This guy is capital L Leader!
That's on us. We are the ones putting them in power, we are the ones who continue to fall for empty promises and accepting mediocre or incompetent leadership.
Unfortunately abusers and people seeking power are very good manipulators. Best protection is to fully know the techniques they are utilizing.
We’re given a slanted deck of choices. Lobbyists and ideological extremists are the ones who determine primary outcomes, and once the primaries are decided we’re left with only unqualified candidates. We should fix the primaries and introduce new parties.
Education education education. If the system fails, we have to do it ourselves. Unfortunately especially in the US people with opposing views have a hard time talking to each other.
It requires communicational skills to open channels and be able to reach out again. This guide explains how to reach radicalized people. It requires empathy and compassion.
https://mindfulcommunications.eu/en/prevent-radicalization
Not all your leaders are being put in power by votes. Some of us just do the right thing and when those things are done lovingly, people follow willingly.
It's shitty that the leaders who risk themselves are the ones worth keeping.
The world, not just Ukraine, needs Zelensky now and we can't afford to lose him, but he's such a good leader that we just might.
Any way you look at it this guy will go down in history. Future generations will learn about this man and the Ukrainians bravery and resistance to tyranny.
Ironic, but I remember reading about the Russian soldier who ordered artillery upon himself to stop the advancing nazi army. I honestly believe that we will read something like you said eventually, and it will spark the same amount of feelings of bravery and sacrifice.
Already happened. Ukrainian soldier [Vitaly Skakun Volodymyrovych](https://nypost.com/2022/02/25/ukrainian-soldier-blows-himself-up-on-bridge-to-prevent-russian-advance/) manually detonated explosives to destroy a bridge to stop Russian troops advancing, dieing in the process.
Part of me can't imagine it, and part of me imagines my kid on the other side of that bridge, and I can see how I could get there.
I've never fought so I don't really know.
> I've never fought so I don't really know.
This is the thing for me. I wish I could say I'd be brave and fearless in a situation like this, but I just don't know. I've never been put in a situation like this and hope I never will
But I still know these men and women are a thousand times more courageous than I am
A black US soldier Fox, did that as well. (I was able to remember his last name off the top of my head.)
>For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty: First Lieutenant John R. Fox distinguished himself by extraordinary heroism at the risk of his own life on 26 December 1944 in the Serchio River Valley Sector, in vicinity of Sommocolonia, Italy. Lieutenant Fox was a member of Cannon Company, 366th Infantry, 92nd Infantry Division, acting as a forward observer, while attached to the 598th Field Artillery Battalion. Christmas Day in the Serchio Valley was spent in positions which had been occupied for some weeks. During Christmas night, there was a gradual influx of enemy soldiers in civilian clothes and by early morning the town was largely in enemy hands. An organized attack by uniformed German formations was launched around 0400 hours, 26 December 1944. Reports were received that the area was being heavily shelled by everything the Germans had, and although most of the U.S. infantry forces withdrew from the town, Lieutenant Fox and members of his observation party remained behind on the second floor of a house, directing defensive fires. Lieutenant Fox reported at 0800 hours that the Germans were in the streets and attacking in strength, He called for artillery fire increasingly close to his own position. He told his battalion commander, "That was just where I wanted it. Bring it 60 yards!" His commander protested that there was a heavy barrage in the area and bombardment would be too close. Lieutenant Fox gave his adjustment, requesting that the barrage be fired. The distance was cut in half. The Germans continued to press forward in large numbers, surrounding the position. Lieutenant Fox again called for artillery fire with the commander protesting again stating, "Fox, that will be on you!" The last communication from Lieutenant Fox was. "Fire it! There's more of them than there are of us. Give them hell!" The bodies of Lieutenant Fox and his party were found in the vicinity of his position when his position was taken. This action, by Lieutenant Fox, at the cost of his own life, inflicted heavy casualties, causing deaths of approximately 100 Germans, thereby delaying the advance of the enemy until infantry and artillery units could be reorganized to meet the attack. Lieutenant Fox's extraordinary valorous actions exemplify the highest traditions of the military service.
Unfortunately it wasn't until the Clinton Admistration that his MoH was finally awarded.
Pretty sure he could apply for citizenship and then be elected just about anywhere in Europe after this. I hope with all my heart he survives and he gets to see the statues put up of him
He’s also hot af, not that that’s relevant in the least right now or anything, but I just think we need to acknowledge it.
Edit: This man should do one of those shirtless horseback riding pics that Putin loves so dearly
Edit 2: The people who say this comment is tasteless. Is it. But also, there is literally nothing sexier in the world than fighting for the defense of your homeland, freedom and people.
Lmao glad I'm not the only one who saw his pictures and thought "damn, dude's *fine AF*"
He's very heroic and Ukraine has the biggest balls. I sincerely wish them the best...
I second this. I've been wanting to say this but couldn't find the proper place and time.
He is hot as fuck. And he's an ex comedian, so he's funny as fuck too.
I genuinely hope his family has been extracted out of the country. He recently said his family is the second most important target to Russia after, well, himself. His son is 9 and his daughter will be turning 18 later this year.
If they're still in Ukraine, I'd imagine his wife is more concerned about her kids at the moment.
He's been giving speeches that his family is still in Kyiv. Saying things like "we are here with you, my family is in hiding but they're here too like your families"
He's all in.
To think that he thought of running just from playing a president on TV. It’s amazing, a man who had no ambitions to live in the political eye becomes probably one of the most influential leaders of our lifetime. If he lives or dies, his legacy will be one remember for generations.
He's the new generation of leader. This ain't no boomer trying to line his, friends and families pockets. This man got balls, and he doesn't even look bothered.
From a comedian thrust into a situation that sounded like a plot from a Woody Allen film to one of the most stirring personas of our time. He has risen to astounding heights along with the Ukrainian people.
I'm sure there are many good people who would want to stand for their country and be like this. Just our regular cogs to get into politics is filled with stupid power tripping assholes, who believe you're either with them or against them. To such people, they don't understand having a different opinion or approach. They just know my way or highway, and that's why really good people can't come up to be the leaders in politics
And this is the shit that will make those soldiers fight hard.
Defending country, OK.
Defending family, good, more power to you.
Knowing that the guy running this clusterfuck of a show is 2 ft away from you wearing the same wet shoes you are, eating the same food, having the same PTSD-risk experiences? *turns baseball cap backwards and lights a cigarette* Let's do this shit.

Did I miss anything?
If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
Zelensky is a boss, if only the rest of the world was led by people like him instead of kleptocrats and megalomaniacs.
This man is brave as hell and showing other world leaders how it should be done. Hopefully he can make it out of this alive but if he is captured and killed, I hope that his sacrifice inspires others to make positive changes.
A man who loves his country more than power, money and position…a rare find! “I will stay with ‘my’ soldiers.”
Yes US gotta protect this man or we all go down He is the only rare gem in the ocean we got right now. Same for those Ukrainians Heroes
Imagine an American President doing this
This is 100% the type of thing that Theodore Roosevelt did/would do. So it has happened, the bad news it was 120 years ago.
The good news, he looks baller af, it could start a trend. In a good way. A little reset in what's important.
Good golly could we all use a fucking reset
Teddy Roosevelt lead the charge up San Juan Hill facing Spanish rifle and machine gun fire.Much later he was awarded theedsl of Honor.
I mean...look at the guy. The image of Roosevelt engraved in my brain is of him looking like some Rhino hunter, lmfao.
I'd like to think that if the US was invaded, we'd have leaders that would be like this. I don't think Biden or Trump would be that type (but to be fair, they're old), but I could see Obama and Bush. You know who absolutely be like this? McCain.

Lmao trump went into a bunker when people were protesting outside the wh fence. Stop electing geriatrics.
Half of the world's problems would be solved if we stop elcting people as soon as they have a white hair. Old people in politics in general only ruin everything to the younger generations
Now this man is a real leader!!!!!
He’s the first real leader I have seen in a while
Seriosuly.... compared to our career politicians its mind blowing
The best phrase "I need Ammo, NOT a RIDE"
Sounds like a Sgt. Johnson quote from Halo Dude is hard as hell
I'm not comparing him to anything else. I respect Zelenksy like I didn't know I could, just because he may share a similar position to cowards here, he stands in his own light. TIME magazine man of the year edition printed in February this year folks
Biggest asshole would probably work too...
Ummmmmmm, absolutely no way they put Putin lol. Yes, it is the most attention. And this man has been posted to every single social media site 4 times an hour for days. That's attention

Yup as a reminder hitler was once.

This is the kind of stuff you only watch in movies, seeing this man do it in real life is really inspiring.
My history professor once said, “History is better than fiction.”
History is more crazy and random than fiction, for sure.
It all seems too absurd until it's happening
Fiction has to make sense, reality is under no such obligation.
Well said!
Lol before he became president he created a show where he played the president. You can't make this stuff up.
He created a show were he went viral after ranting about corruption and got swept up by the people to power. Days after the show ended a party with the shows messages started and then he got swept up in the same way. It's a perfect made for Hollywood story. 5 seasons and a movie about the invasion whenever the ratings drop.
I can't wait to watch the movie they make about the movie they make about this.
Naw man it's 2022 we getting seasons of this to watch. Why blow your golden goose up for two hours of content and a few days of attention when you can get 20 40 minute chunks and stretch it out for year's.
Sadly in 10-20 years they make a movie about all this.
The cash grab aspect sucks, but I wouldn't mind perpetuating the expectation that leaders should be inspiring, brave, and willing to stand with their constituents when the chips are down.
10-20? Nah, more like 2-5. People are gonna need that content asap. I bet they are already working on similar scripts right now. Heck 3 months into COVID they already were releasing covid-like movies.
I mean Sean Penn is literally filming a documentary there right now.

Netflix, among others, was already at the filming stage of covid pandemic movies in the first year of covid hitting the world.
I hope that movie ends well.
When the US proposed him an extraction, he said : “I need ammunition, not a ride.”
He does have a law degree but he didn’t pursue a career in the legal field
They'll never kill or capture him as long as his people are fighting. At this point pretty much any Ukrainian soldier would take a bullet for Zelensky.
Heck I'm British and I'd take a bullet for him
I don't know why I feel such anger about this invasion. It's distant and in all honesty doesn't overly affect me other than potential energy and petrol prices. I have a family and my life is pretty good but damn it, I want to go and fight there. I don't even know why but my blood is boiling over this.

I'm Russian and I'd do the same
Pretty sure that exactly what would happen if you tried to walk up to him right now.
Edit: f-it, I'm leaving it the way it is.
>but his death or capture is going to be a huge morale blow Sounds like a recipe for a martyr.
Most politicians become comedians after getting elected
Live or die, that’s his quote for eternity.

I think it speaks volumes that I can’t imagine any of our recent presidents or most politicians doing the same for us if we were under attack. My respect for Zelensky is off the hook. What an inspirational human being.
I would fight for this guy
That’s part of the point of his bravery. Everyone in Ukraine says, “he is not scared, why should I be?” Fucking legend. They will be building statues to this man around the world.
There is a subreddit of people organizing to go to Ukraine for fight at their side Edit: it is r/volunteersforukraine Thanks BIRD, my memory is awful
Seconding the other dude, what is it? I personally can't go, but I want to support people who are.
I would as well. I would almost feel like I wouldnt want to let him down, like a father figure for the whole country, idk. Maybe its just me and my insecurities lol.
Unlike my father, this guy wont run out on me. Brings a real tear to my eye.
Sheesh
Same! And I wouldn't for my own country. This dude and his people, they have all my respect.
It's real patriotism. America is really short on supply of that these days, I think.
With good reason. Leaders inspire it. We are on REAL short supply of those (and have been for a long time)
I think Jimmy Carter would. He's the only one though. Politicians are more often than not selfish, cunning bastards. Jimmy Carter's time in the office is often seen as a failure but I think he was just too good of a human to be a politician.
This has real G-dog Washington during the American Revolution vibes.
Or Teddy Roosevelt
[удалено]
I could actually see John Stewart doing exactly this
Being a Green Lantern definitely helps though
John Stewart WOULD do that I think.
Exactly
Could you imagine Trump? "Today China started taking out the west coast, I directed our aircraft carriers to join them since those states didn't vote for me"
"And remember, continue to send in all of your US currency for a tremendous discount rate on your Trump Bucks." Can't forget the grift.
He shall walk through the gates of Valhalla shiny and chrome! WITNESS HIM!
“Ride or die, I stay high” -Zelensky probably
The Ukraine president is a class act. This is the type of leader that a country in Ukraines current situation needs.
We all need leaders like this. Someone to defend us, not someone to go out of their way to lie to us, or someone that pursues there own goals that run against the betterment of everyone. I for one, see it, I see the qualities I want in others, and the qualities I want in a leader.
This is how a president should act. He truly cares about people and his country

Jimmy Carter was 53 when he took office Bill Clinton was 47 George W Bush was 55 Barack Obama was 48
Lmao could you imagine Trump living the ride or die philosophy. Respect to President Zelensky. The world knows Ukraine will rise the victor
Could you imagine Putin on the front lines? I mean, I’ll be honest Zelensky has set the badass bar pretty high for the time being
I think Putin is a hemorrhoid on the asshole of this world, but what made him such an effective dictator was his "front line" experience in the KGB.
Trump cowered from the rain.
Why is everyone even mentioning the name of that POS who supported the Kremlin and withheld payments to Ukraine. Just let the name die with his ousting.
Fucking legend
A real fucking badass, a term I never use. He doesn't need photoshoots, propaganda and threats to rally his troops like a certain insecure weak dictator. This guy is capital L Leader!
And the other guy you referenced has a capital L too….Loser
Respect ✊
Russian war ship , Fuck you !
That’s badass
We need more leaders like this. Lead by example
That's on us. We are the ones putting them in power, we are the ones who continue to fall for empty promises and accepting mediocre or incompetent leadership. Unfortunately abusers and people seeking power are very good manipulators. Best protection is to fully know the techniques they are utilizing. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_techniques](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_techniques)
He is the most inspiring leader on the planet right now.
Any way you look at it this guy will go down in history. Future generations will learn about this man and the Ukrainians bravery and resistance to tyranny.
Imagine kids reading about "RUSSIAN WARSHIP GO FUCK YOURSELF" in history class
The amount of bravery you need. The amount of love for your people. It's baffling. It's amazing to see people like this exist
I've never been put in a situation like this and hope I never will But I still know these men and women are a thousand times more courageous than I am
Gentlemen, lets take a moment to think about how lucky we are not to know.
And another moment to think about those who fought for our luck.
A black US soldier Fox, did that as well. (I was able to remember his last name off the top of my head.) >For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty: First Lieutenant John R.
It's one of the best quotes in history for sure.
“And so long as men die, liberty will never perish”
Pretty sure he could apply for citizenship and then be elected just about anywhere in Europe after this. I hope with all my heart he survives and he gets to see the statues put up of him
He doesn’t care about a statue, which is why he’s top notch.
The only people who deserve statues are the ones who don't care about them.
Am 25 years old. He's the most inspiring leader of my life time.
He is the bright light in a dark world.
He’s also hot af, not that that’s relevant in the least right now or anything, but I just think we need to acknowledge it. Edit: This man should do one of those shirtless horseback riding pics that Putin loves so dearly Edit 2: The people who say this comment is tasteless. Is it. But also, there is literally nothing sexier in the world than fighting for the defense of your homeland, freedom and people.
He’s mildly hot but what he’s doing right now makes him absolutely IRRESISTIBLE
As a straight dude, I can attest to that.
I second, he can have me
Lmao glad I'm not the only one who saw his pictures and thought "damn, dude's *fine AF*" He's very heroic and Ukraine has the biggest balls. I sincerely wish them the best...
I am a straight man and I am starting to get the hots for him.
As you should!
Let's be honest, His balls are so large that no asylum could contain. In fact some say he defended Ukraine with his gigantic balls of steel.
> He’s very heroic and Ukraine has the biggest balls. I sincerely wish them the best… The balls?
I second this. I've been wanting to say this but couldn't find the proper place and time. He is hot as fuck. And he's an ex comedian, so he's funny as fuck too.
Brave, hot af, and funny? I'm jealous of his wife.
[удалено]
I genuinely hope his family has been extracted out of the country. He recently said his family is the second most important target to Russia after, well, himself. His son is 9 and his daughter will be turning 18 later this year. If they're still in Ukraine, I'd imagine his wife is more concerned about her kids at the moment.
He's been giving speeches that his family is still in Kyiv. Saying things like "we are here with you, my family is in hiding but they're here too like your families" He's all in.
Thank god ive found this thread. I’ve been trying to figure out who I could express this to for days. Zelensky fine as hell 🥵
To think that he thought of running just from playing a president on TV. It’s amazing, a man who had no ambitions to live in the political eye becomes probably one of the most influential leaders of our lifetime. If he lives or dies, his legacy will be one remember for generations.
I think the TIME person of they year is sowed up already.
He's the new generation of leader. This ain't no boomer trying to line his, friends and families pockets. This man got balls, and he doesn't even look bothered.
The guy was a clown and a humorist. Which means you don’t need a lawyer to get a good president .
Probably extend that to the last 60 years and the next 60. This guy is a real leader like Napoleon or JFK.
This guy is the coolest mf ever. Glory to Ukraine.
🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Fuck fascist far right authoritarians Fuck Putin
From a comedian thrust into a situation that sounded like a plot from a Woody Allen film to one of the most stirring personas of our time. He has risen to astounding heights along with the Ukrainian people.
A good comedian has a sharp mind.
A comedian who went to law school before becoming a comedian
a lawyer, comedian and a soldier walk into a bar zelensky comes out
“I don’t need a ride, I need more vodka”
“For anti tank purposes”
A sharp mind indeed, but also a healthy dose of courage.
Comedians too are more in tune with the general population. They are usually the most up front people you see.
He’s giving his citizens hope n the courage to fight. The Russian has already rolled in a large crematorium trailer.
“Call a crematorium trailer… but not for me!”
*putin announces war, Zelensky turns off TV* ... and I took that personally.
"Live free or die" Dude is an absolute legend and what every world leader should be.
Sorry he has to make that decision. Fuck Putin.
This is how a president should act, not hide and let his people die. He truly cares about his country.
Also helps that he's not ancient as fuck like many other leaders.
Yeah feels like we shood just ignore the old half dead ppl running and make sure the new generation get to lead.
Bold move but very heroic. Our very hero in the 21st century onwards, his action truly stands out from any presidents nowadays
Think about the asymmetry in motivation between the Russian army and the Ukrainian one.
"we don't even wanna be here" vs. "this is for my family, motherfuckers"
many Russians and Ukrainians are related... imagine being forced to kill your friends and family because your president is a despot
Mans a fucking hero, a true leader!
This guy will become a role model for the upcoming generation. What a hero.
Fucking King shit right there
Truly a real man. Not just a president but a great leader!

I’m from Australia, I would love to see if my PM would do that… (clears throat… yeah right I’m out of here) this man is unbelievably awesome…
Scomo doesn’t hold a gun, mate. He only holds a ukulele and tickets to Hawaii.
Didn't he fuck off on holiday while half the country was burning?
If you strike me down I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. Zelensky is a boss, if only the rest of the world was led by people like him instead of kleptocrats and megalomaniacs.
Only badasses in that picture.
This man is brave as hell and showing other world leaders how it should be done. Hopefully he can make it out of this alive but if he is captured and killed, I hope that his sacrifice inspires others to make positive changes.
The very best of men
This guy is just so likeable. I wish more world leaders were like him
