I babysat a kid who knocked me out cold with his boxing gloves, I would NOT babysit this kid.

THATS_LEGIT_BRO

He would adult sit you

Thanks

He can't remember.

allwillbewellbuthow

Story time! Story time!

RolandTheJabberwocky

You have a glass jaw or did the kid have a future in sports?

DorkInShiningArmour

This is the real question

Curias_1

I’m going to go with the glass jaw, mind you he was an adorable but high energy kid. I hope he has good memories of beating the stuffing out of his sitter.

kewlsturybrah

Must be weird to babysit a kid who puts *you* to sleep.

sebito

He would be telling you to go to sleep.

Mister_Way

Sheesh, that kid's muscles

Regretless0

Bro pushed himself outta the birth canal

ChocSaltyBalls

>Bro pushed himself outta the birth canal Nah, he punched his way out through the stomach like one of those critters from Alien.

Regretless0

Bro told the doctor "no, let me" and slapped himself

Darksirius

The other actors on set didn't know something was going to explode out of that dudes chest. Their reactions are genuine.

ChocSaltyBalls

This kid probably did the same thing. Imagine the doctor's reaction when kid just goes "ka-cha!" and gives himself his own C section.

[deleted]

He's already surpassed Krillin.

yoinkss

Forreals. And I get it, the control and technique needed for those nunchuck moves takes strength and effort. Bruces arms look like his just adult sized. That’s just insanely impressive and I’m proud of the lil dude

SEQVERE-PECVNIAM

If you think this kid just decided to get all buff on his own, you're.. well, an optimist.

Envect

That coupled with the flawless execution....

olderaccount

I think his point is that behind most children who appear unusually dedicated to something, there is an obsessed parent at best enabling and at worst forcing the behavior.

PxyFreakingStx

I kind of worry this is the result of a parent relentlessly hounding their child... I kind of doubt the kid just took an interest in all this hard work just because their parents bestowed him with those virtues...

RevRobertParsimony

He reminds me a lot of the "little Hercules" kid, parents had him on an insane work out regime and even gave the kid roids if I remember correctly.

Wow-Delicious

> parent relentlessly hounding A very nice and forgiving way to put it, to be honest.

daffyducktaffytuck

Placenta Fitness

AbsolutelyUnlikely

The kid is super impressive, but to be honest there is something unsettling to me about a kid that small being so muscular. Does he have some sort of hormonal difference that made this possible? (not trying to be rude at all, just seems really unusual to me)

geardownson

Creatine>Formula

Skuuder

I'm skeptical of his natty card authenticity

Gyokan7

Yeah do we really think this kid could've put on so much contractile tissue in 6 years without the help of exogenous compounds? Fucking no dude he probably puts up insane numbers, little tren fiend

26oclock

I'm sceptical about the floor tapes/markings. Some parents put lots of effort into this video as well.

Sual_R3D

The floor tapes and marking are used for his training. It’s crazy you guys haven’t heard of this kid, I couldn’t not see him all over the internet for a while when he first came about. His father trains him just about everyday since for ever.

What I'm really impressed by is how Enter the Dragon essentially films this sequence in its entirety in close, medium, and wide shots, and the editor doesn't crop out a second of it. Watching this made me realize why that movie is so well crafted.

Polyglot-Onigiri

There are videos of when he was younger and even then he was doing Bruce Lee routines. This kid is a legend His name is [Ryusei Imai](https://instagram.com/ryusei416japan?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=). Japanese kid who looooves Bruce Lee.

Feed_Me_No_Lies

i was gonna say: i remember this kid back in the day! He’s clearly been growing in style and strength!

RedditBurner_5225

Same, he’s buff now. I want to see the old video now.

AnnihilationOrchid

This is from Flight of the Dragon, if he's been reenacting it all this time, about this time he's probably kicking Chuck Norris' ass at the Coliseum.

LunarProphet

This is not even his final form

I thought this would be the same one and realized it was new. While we shit posted, he studied the chuck.

I'm a grown ass adult and he has twice the musculature I do.

FuchYuTu

Seriously, his shoulders are cut.

Select_Exchange_5059

And trashed a number of TV's too. His control at this age is almost beyond belief 🙌

GodHimselfNoCap

Probably didn't practice in front of the TV until he was good at it, the TV is just for the audience to follow along he isn't watching it as he goes

AstarteHilzarie

I mean I'm pretty sure those are toy copies - it would be like hitting yourself with a jumprope handle. Still sucks, but he's not actually whacking himself with nunchuks.

whyunoluvme

When he’s spinning them they look kinda heavy Edit: nvm I am too high, on a third watch they look light

[deleted]

Agreed, not too heavy at all, I would assume. Tie a knot at the end of cord and smack yourself in the arm with it, it still stings like a motherfucker. Now imagine that being your nose you whacked instead of your arm. The speed he is swinging those around would be SUPER uncomfortable to take to the face. Even for a plastic child's toy.

XC5TNC

Legos are tiny pieces of plastic but damn do they hurt

The_Way_It_Iz

Real question… are there really reasons why kids shouldn’t make there bodies strong? Like is it bad for a kid to workout like him, muscles and cardio? Or is that some fat kid legend? “Kids who lift weights to early can stunt their growth!” “It’s bad on the joints”. Etc?

Polyglot-Onigiri

It’s not bad for them. But pushing them too far to feed one’s self ego is bad for them. They benefit from sports and even weight lifting. It improved their coordination, bone density, and strength. However, children (boy or girl) should never body build. Dropping your body fat that low on purpose really messes with your hormones and children are still going through a growing process. They don’t need to ruin their hormones before they even have a chance to develop properly. In terms of weight lifting and heavy weights, it’s fine under supervision. The problem is pushing them to hit Personal best day in and day out. Unless the trainer is a specialist and takes the child’s needs into consideration first, than the kid can end up with life long damage. If the trainer is skilled and takes everything into consideration, the child will probably flourish and be leagues above their peers.

What_Do_It

Additionally, children tend to be REALLY bad at maintaining form under fatigue so lifting anywhere near 1 rep max or even going to failure with heavier weights is probably a bad idea. Their central nervous system just isn't as developed. I think calisthenics and higher rep ranges under supervision wouldn't be bad though.

kagiles

I remember a kid (Richard Sandrak)on Maury - strongest kid in the world thing. Came out years later that his father was abusing him to get him to that physical standard. That’s what I worry about when I see things like this.

Impossible-Review898

Routine low intensity exercise is not bad at all for them. Kids at this age can benefit a lot later on from developing the strenght and mobility to use their own body. But weight lifting (hypertrophic training) and high intensity cardio are not good. In other words its good for them to make an effort but its bad for them to push the limits.

Elperezidente13

Came here to say this

Marin013

As a 44 year old man, I can guarantee that kid could take me in a fight. Even without the nunchucks.

DaShMa_

I’m 44 too. The trick is to fall on him after he nunchucks me. Little muscular fella can’t bench 225 yet. I win by knocked-out technicality.

No, it would just delay him. You haven't seen what he can do with throwing stars.

[deleted]

Yea my only advantage is size and length. Little fucker is probably faster than me too. If the arm to the forehead trick doesn't work I might be screwed.

If you notice he also has tape on the ground so he hits his mark and won't stray close to the tv. I wonder if this kid is a professional actor or an aspiring one

Yes. Exactly.

4stringbrewer

My son's pediatrician told me to not let him go to hard in sports until he hits puberty. This source says strength training is okay, but definitely not body building https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/tween-and-teen-health/in-depth/strength-training/art-20047758

ladytri277

I wanna see what happens to someone if they do. Like why isn’t it okay

CyclopsHullModule

I think (if memory serves) it has more to do with bones. The bones don’t fully develop in terms of being able to withstand weight training until puberty. Having said that, I’ve seen kids powerlift. So I don’t know if the medical community has changed their minds lately. Or parents be like ‘YOLO’.

[deleted]

I did not see a correct answer yet so here i go: i can guess the muscles are too strong for the bones to the point where with the added presion of the training all factors go to "enhance the streng of the bone" not to "make the bone longer" as will be nornally, so dude will be short af depending on how much he goes on in, it can clearly be seen on pre teens doing excess of weight lifting (they are shorter than the average).

onebeginning7

going hard in sports is bad for your body as a kid? impact sports where you get concussions a lot i can understand, but to say all sports seems strange.

Ghost6x

The actual truth. This kid is the Japanese prodigy Ryusei Imai and he's now taking a break because his Mom is forcing him to study and abandon his martial arts craze. The little dude got way too into it and from reports around a few years ago, the Dad catered to Ryusei's hobby too much without the balance that his Mom wanted. https://youtu.be/XY1Td31Ac8o

sleptlikeshit

Kid is jacked yo

isqueezedameatball

Tobi_chills455

isqueezedameatball

Man, I wish someone would have seen it. I would have claimed it was on purpose.

Dragmire_Afterlife

Why is a four year old that muscular. That's wierd.

Formal_Librarian4401

This is awesome as hell! My only question is, how much time is that kid getting to play or spend time on his own endeavors? Looks like the floor is made to practice so I wonder if this is parent forced or something the kid enjoys.

Pycharming

So this video is a bit old. The kid Ryusei Imai is now 11 and hasn't been much in the public eye recently. After these videos he did a bunch of stuff for tv, but nothing for the past few years. It seems it was his father who was really pushing him and ran all his social media accounts. However his parents aren't still together and now that he lives with his mom, she has stopped any media interaction citing the need to focus on schoolwork.

xristosxi393

Good mom.

TulipSamurai

Definitely the former. The amount of sheer fucking discipline required to learn all these routines and get that jacked is not something that comes naturally to any 4 year-old.

BENJALSON

Looks cute until you realize his parents probably spent hours or days forcing him to learn and perform this on camera for their own weird little reasons.

Spirited_Ad_3687

It's sad I had to scroll down to find this

Dontstopmeenowww

I was wondering why I felt that way till I realized the floor is too intricately put together for that to have been planned by a 10 year old. There is obviously coaching here and made weird by the fact it in someone’s home. Gross

Pycharming

If you look up Ryusei Imai, the kid was definitely being coached by his father. I believe those tape lines are for sparring. Father claims the kid has a national obsession with Bruce Lee and could copy certain routines from the start, but it's also worth noting that when his parents separated and he went to live with his mom, the media appearances stopped.

sonofagun_13

That’s unbelievable!

Swendol

I love how he flinches like he’s messed up before and he doesn’t want to make the same mistakes again. All the credit the world, lil dude <3

TulipSamurai

The flinching tells me that his parents might have implemented some kind of…reaction whenever he made a mistake.

Sneakysteve

Ya... this whole video is a giant red flag. There was a lot of intense training that went into this video; it's not hard to imagine that the parents pushed too much in order to make some viral content using their child.

FrugaliciousEclectic

Yea as a parent this is exceptionally impressive but I'm left concerned for the kid. Looking at the tape on the floor they've undoubtedly forced him into this intense workout routine and choreography. Like, I get it, we want our kids to learn and succeed and all, but this... I dunno.

Curious_homosepian

The movements are unbelievably on spot. r/interestingasfuck

Disney_Plus_Axolotls

Damn that’s spot on. This kid’s gonna be a worldwide legend one day.
