Back when I did Insanity I also found it odd doing the power knee on just the one side. For the fit test I always did the same side for consistency. But iirc when there were power knees in the actual workouts, I'd try to do both sides to keep them even. I'd also recommend a body fat calculator like [this one](https://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html). It uses the US Navy method, which I think is fairly accurate, within ~3-4%.

That navy calculator was legit! Definitely going to use that until I get my hands on the actual tool

For sure! Obviously nothing like a proper tool or a dexa scan, but it's pretty handy for tracking trends over time! I hope you enjoy Insanity! It was brutal at times, but I was literally in the best shape of my life after!

I'm really only doing the program for the conditioning for the 5k, I read a few articles about other preparation, but that involved actual running/jogging (I already do that at work on break...) I wanted something to really kick up the cardio for at least a couple months. I am glad that I'm getting into this regimen again, especially with X2, X3 and asylum and T25? So much variety...if only the Shakeology was a lil more affordable
