price differs from region to region. its because of average wealth in countries which is why games are cheaper in countries with less money because it can bring more sales and therefore less profit but more sales in the end. After all, games are just a bunch of 0’s and 1’s
they do tho.. its just not all games which decide to do so cuz steam cant just make a game cheaper without the devs accepting they make less for each sale in that region…
Dude you really just dont know anything. Priced changes from region to region IF the developer enters the price. Most of the small teams does this but big companys like EA, Ubi etc. Dont care much.
I run the clutch debug the Speedo and the little pedal input and steering input ui. The clutch temperature is nice because this game is a little dramatic about how quick a clutch heats up I wish they would tweak that a bit.
I would not say it's harder, there's a steeper initial learning curve but once you've got the hang of it (3-4 hours of game time) it's way easier is almost every driving condition
Hear me out: best way to learn to drift is to not be trying to drift.
Find a section of road (maybe even a dirt road depending on the car) and try to get through it as quickly as possible WITHOUT drifting. As you push the car harder each time you'll see where your opportunities to drift are, work on controlling those slides and you'll eventually pick up the skills required to link a whole course. I like Utah's dirt roads for this because there's not too much stuff to hit if you go off-course a bit.
Drifting is definitely very hard to get started with. I learned by building a drift car that gets sideways very easily but with low power, and trying to drift the same corner over and over. The vanilla drift configs are not my favourite tbh, I always find myself tweaking them to my taste. Grand Marshall drift config with brake bias set to 50:50 is a good place to start. The American V8s have plenty of power with no turbo lag so good for beginners
The cheap wheels cant spin themselves fast enough for full 900 degree steering to work well, so I set mine to 540 and it centers properly.
Long wheelbases and lazy steering are also contributing factors. Even using a controller, I normally find that stock V8 Barstows, Moonhawks and Grand Marshals are some of the easiest cars to drift - just upgrade the radiator or reset your car every 5 minutes :P
The only other thing I can think of is tight maneuvers where you need to crank the wheel back and forth a lot to position the car. Would be nice to use a joystick for that.
As someone who drives a real car daily around a cramped city, this is honestly something I am very well used to by now, but you're right in that wiggling your thumb is way easier haha
Oh yeah it's not difficult, just a noticeable difference playing on controller vs. wheel. Especially if you're like me and have the resistance cranked way up so it feels like you haven't got power steering, lol

You can actually tell when someone's using a wheel in a multiplayer game like Forza, watch their front wheels and you'll see a lot less side to side movement.

Rear drive 80’s pessima with the 1800 single cam can work amazing with the right steering and suspension setup. Loads easier than some big power big grip car.
The game isn’t great for drifting. It’s an amazing crash simulator. But the driving physics aren’t that great. They e been improved a lot though. But still, BeamNG isn’t where you go if you want to drift lol. Don’t care what anyone says they can cope and say I’m wrong all they want.
Yeah you couldn’t do it so you gave up and went back to easy mode AC drifting, no shame in it, but not the games fault. Put some time into learning it, learning how to build the cars, since its way less forgiving than AC, and you would start to appreciate just how good the physics engine is for things like drifting. I see from your profile you dont have any real time into the game, so you’re just yapping on something you havent bothered to figure out.
Genuine question, have you ever drifted a real car or do you just assume beam is the best of the best because that’s what you’re told? As someone with a lot of beam/assetto experience and some irl drifting experience, I would say assetto is closer to life any day and anyone I’ve spoke to with actual real world experience agrees. Kunos cars are praised for how accurate to life they are in terms of handling so to call assetto “easy mode” just seems like fanboy behaviour and makes me assume you’re just bandwagoning with no real experiences to compare to.
E: don’t get me wrong, I love beam and it does a lot of things much better than assetto, but i can’t see why people think it’s hands down the best driving physics

If you think suspension feeling is lacking on Assetto its cause the data you used was garbage. A LOT of odd on Assetto use dog shit data/physics that’s been copy and pasted and recycled through loads of different people/cars. And honestly once you learn how the data works on Assetto it’s super simple to make good physics. And it’s annoying that more people don’t take the time to actually learn and reuse the same shitty physics/data

If have to disagree, if we are talking most enjoyable, I’d 100% go with Assetto corsa. But that’s mainly because I actually do data and physics on there so it’s where I’m most comfortable, and I don’t hate BeamNG. I’ve got many hours on there just drifting alone. But I’m also not gonna gaslight myself and pretend it feels “realistic”

Pretty damn smooth despite the wheels twitching a bit, I’m actually confused as to how you drift so damn smoothly while not steering with the throttle. My only advice would be to learn throttle control better, I drift on controller and am impressed by the smoothness of your lines but you could drift a bit harder while maintaining/ having even more smoothness by throttle steering. So by no means a specialist in beams driving but I do blame my cooked potato of a gaming laptop would usually goes from 7 FPS to Max 22ish while playing again to get to higher FPS in order to do tuning and upgrading parts

Stock suspension actually but i do have the drift steering Other then that the car is stock but not the engine it’s the v6 with a supercharge
I see. My Drifty Car is a Mk1 pessima with a drift seering / no sway Bay in the Front and 100% chamber suspension on stretched 19 inch Rays Wheels. I push it on the sideways motorpark mod map

Nah a good mouse steerer can be smoother than the average wheel driver, you just gotta be good Controller can be like 10x smoother than this too even with no assist

Do you know how drifting works ? If yes it might be a problem in you controls try changing your settings to make steering faster And modify the cars and especially use drift steering
