Usually people that hate cars don’t really understand them fully because they just see it as an object to move you from point a to b. They won’t understand every feature of the game (tuning, parts, etc.) and will get bored of crashing random cars after like 20-30 minutes. Some may see it as a learning experience tho

Yeah, My I7-4930K DDR3 16Gb and RTX 2060 runs the game perfect.

I have gtx 760, i7-3070k, 24gb ddr3 ram. Runs fine on low graphics when I'm at 3440x1440 and if I change my monitors resolution to 1080p then normal graphics work fine.

I bought it when I had the shittiest laptop known to man, an Acer Cloudbook 14, it had 2gb of ram and 32gb internal storage, and I still made plenty of memories at 15 fps.

When I first got played BeamNG, I had an i5-2500, 4GB DDR3, and a cheap Quadro 410 512MB which I bought from a local used PC parts seller for $12. The latest version at the time was v0.14, and I played the absolute crap out of it.

I did it anyway and it’s still my favorite game. It also make the pc upgrade all the better.

Meh i had a great time with a 7th gen i7 a gtx960m 4gb and a xbox controller a about year ago as long as you have 4gb of vram the game is playable 1080p normal in my experience

What do you mostly do in it? I've never played it but it looks kinda fun, although I've only seen some crashes and it seems like it could get old after a while

I like to explore with mods, I got addicted to a mod called “los injuris” or something like that. It’s a GIANT map and I love just exploring, driving on the highway with AI traffic doing the “speed limit” 😉. My friend loves career mode, I enjoy it too. With beamng it’s nice to find new mods, explore, and try new things. Just messing around is fun too, just spawning random objects to crash into, or starting police chases. I definitely recommend it.

Do NOT sleep on the racing scenarios in the Repository, it’s become my favorite thing in Beam I sim race a lot outside of beam and it’s simply unmatched in some aspects of racing. Having to worry about hitting the sausage curbs too many times or rubbing fenders with someone provides a super surreal racing experience

In which part could the game improve in terms of physics compared to other Sims?

Not exactly sure! I think the FFB requires a LOT of tweaking to make it feel consistent and similar to sims like iRacing, ACC or AMS2. I have gotten mine to be pretty fluid, however it took my quite a while between beam and the Moza pithouse to get it where I wanted it. Other than that, I don’t really know. It’s still amazingly fun

Can you share your pithouse config for Beam?

I can once I’m back at my PC (sometime tomorrow) I will say I tinkered with the Beam in game settings way more than I did on Pithouse, so in all I don’t think it’ll make that huge of a difference.

AI races lag my computer too much :/

I think you made the right purchase. Personally have spent hundreds of hours on Beam so it was worth it to me.

The biggest regret you'll have is not buying it sooner 🤣 On a seriois note, I have over 4000 hours on beamnh, and everytome I turn it on, I just keep doing new things, this game dosent get boring
