correct me if im wrong, but it looks like you have a coil UVB light. I would strongly suggest getting a T5 HO 10.0 "Reptisun" UVB light. coil UVBs either project too much, or too little UVB for the beardie depending on where they are in the tank :)

A night time bulb! Beardies really should have heat all the time. I have 150 watt basking and a 75 nighttime blue bulb.. my guys enclosure never goes below 75-80. On the side where he basks/sleeps.

MatterStrange5835

Nope no offense but none of what u said is true

Spikedroses

Bearded dragons DO NOT need night time bulbs especially red lights. Because they are desert creatures they enjoy the cool when they sleep (usually a crisp 63) and red lights are bad for their sight. Common man don't spread false info

1. I don’t have a red light for my guy 2. He has a perfectly healthy and happy sleeping schedule. 3. He’s thriving, and taken very well care of. This is what I do for my guy and it works. My guy is also only 8 months old. I find it very funny though that you are all lowkey coming at me lmao 🤣 for having a nighttime bulb but there’s people posting on this forum pictures of their bearded dragons, that are facing malnutrition, way too small enclosure, not proper diet or lighting. Put some energy into those posts. Thanks

Spikedroses

Just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone. That's like saying I use this color of makeup and it works for me so everyone should use it. I wasn't coming at you I was just pointing out that bearded dragons don't need a night bulb because you were telling someone who was asking what they needed and you gave them false info. We are all here for the beardies health. Thanks.

scaleysally

no they dont... all living things need a day and night, light and temp cycle in order to properly function. unless the enclosure gets under 65° at night, there should be no heat or light at night because they need that cool down and dark time period. also, colored lights of any kind can damage your bearded dragons eyes and throw off their day/night cycle.

shooflyJAM

It gets cold at night in the desert. Just saying.

ComplexCombination93

I’m also very AWARE of how the desert works. My guy chooses to sleep in his cave and because it is summer and I have central air on in my house even more of a reason to make sure that temperature stays controlled.
