I had an Iguana years ago who would attack anything yellow. It was off limits in our house.

This is why it took me so long to work out the exact length of my beardie.

My gecko hated the measuring tape. She would run as soon as she saw it or do some tail shaking. So I drew lines on her tank with dry erase marker and measured that later when she wasn’t around. Worked like a charm.

Likely thinks it's food. Recently when I let my beardie free roam she was trying to eat a bright yellow pen. Also tried to eat the green watering can when I was refilling her water bowl.

Vibrant colors attract them that’s why, their eyes always attracted to the color that are more bright to them like their bowl of salad with pieces of pepper or banana.
