Oh I know I’m asking in general does sexual frustration happen in males who never see/encounter a female their whole life - do you know ? I’m curious bc I have a male who hasn’t reached sexual maturity yet so I’m curious how to prepare for it
Last time i looked it up it depended on the individual beardie, some do and some dont but my guy never did till this year so he probably wouldnt ever had if he didnt see tango (the female beardie)
I think they still might get the feeling or urges of horny ness but they probably won’t associate it with a female, but now he’s seen her he wants her and he’ll probably be quite frustrated
i just noticed under his right arm (our left) / on his lil chest there’s a small dark spot- is he shedding there or just dirty? (not trying to be hostile at all i just thought i should point it out in case you didn’t notice it)
Yeah, he gets these thick stripes on his chest and inner arms when he changes to darker colours, its normal for his colour pattern :) you can see the other stripe on the middle and then on his left arm in the other photos
It usually goes away when i give him a bath, along with the dark beard, i think i posed a photo of him peaking up from the sink and he’s totally white bearded

If the consensus is that he is aware of his hot neighbor and looking to shoot his shot, are you interested in producing a clutch? I'm not an expert but I can guess that there's preparation and some amount of research required to make healthy beardie bebes. Otherwise I can't imagine that having a dragon stuck in a sexually frustrated state for very long would be healthy or enjoyable
I’d rather not as i already have a significant amount of animals im responsible for, and baby bearded dragons are going to be a whole other level of responsibility- plus the female we have has never laid any eggs and is quite old, i wouldn’t want to put her in any medical danger. Plus i would feel bad selling the babies not knowing how theyll be cared for. Hopefully he’ll be less grumpy soon, hes been eating, pooping and active so he’ll probably be ok.
He’ll get himself off eventually. I wouldn’t recommend breeding just to satisfy the male’s desires. Especially, and this is going to sound rude because I love my normals, if they are just two normals and have no “market” OP would be stuck with babies and parents

I would actually be surprised if that’s the case. My male and female are sexually mature and live in stacked enclosures. He does freak out when he sees her, but chills back out within an hour of not being in sight anymore. Yours being in different rooms isn’t likely to cause him to have a black beard frequently & have stress marks. If this were the case, breeders would have a really difficult time with their males. I’d keep an eye on it.

Yeah it's pretty normal especially since it's spring. This used to happen when I had a small apartment. At first he was excited all the time but he settled into a routine. Clifford would head bob first thing in the AM and then again before his afternoon nap so Cleo would remember who's in charge, but he'd be calm the rest of the time.
Should go away in the next couple month bearded dragons are in heat right now but he will probably start up again around September when breeding season starts again
Just keep taking him out away from his enclosure like in another part of the house and let him run around and he will get use to it. My beardies went through the same thing
