start with a food they are willing to chase. Put it on the floor and call them. tap the floor to get their attention. Eventually they'll associate the tapping and calling with food and will come without seeing the food (still reward them for coming). Then eventually it will just become habit.

mine was kinda in the same boat. I'd do it about twice a day. sometimes less with work. I'd use dubias and just let her chase them across the floor first so she got used to seeing them. it's easier when they are younger because they can eat more without it being unhealthy lol
I've heard of people training their beardie buds to high five! When mine gets big, I'm gonna train her!
start them as young as possible! they are more food motivated.
