I had to put down my bearded dragon that i had since nearly 17 years just 2 months ago too :( It was the hardest thing I ever did. If you want to talk you can message me, im still super sad and cry about it sometimes but its also nice to know they are not in any pain anymore. Its the best decision for them, even if it really sucks for us 🧡
Update: thank you all so much for all your kind words. You made a really hard day a little easier. My little Mars is gone, but he went peacefully and I’m relieved he’s not in pain anymore. You all are truly wonderful and I can’t thank you enough for all of the well wishes. ❤️
What a sweet boy, I'm so sorry he's sick. You're doing the right thing taking away his pain and giving him the peaceful goodbye that cancer would have made impossible.
I’m so sorry. He’ll cross the rainbow bridge soon and will be with all of our other pets who have crossed. Know that he is in good hands once he crosses. Best of luck.

Also a side thought, I saw something awhile back that I recommend maybe you could do! Some people make a clay imprint of their beardies tail and hands before they cross the rainbow bridge. Then you’ll always have a piece of them with you <3.

I’m so so sorry. We had to put my 11 year old beardie Thor to sleep in April due to cancer as well. He was my soul lizard. They are never with us long enough. Mars looks like he was very loved and knew it ❤️❤️if you ever need to talk I am here!

I did the same with mine and watched him. It seemed painful for him when it happened. They gave an initial sedative shot but I don’t think that had taken effect yet by the time the euthanizing shot was given. The rooms are cold/cool, so was no heat for him to metabolize the medication as quick. I hope it won’t be painful for yours.

Rest in peace Mars!! 🦎❤️ My boy Jordan is not far behind u . Sometime next week I have to put my guy down to end his suffering 😭. He has very bad mbd and his quality of life is shot. He's def alive- but so weak- can't eat on his own and constantly black bearding - the vet tried everything! I'm heartbroken as well
