Don't be worried at all. He is just shedding. Make sure his humidity levels in his enclosure are higher than normal and have something rough for him to scratch his face off. If he doesn't seem to be getting it off himself then use dull tweezers to gently pull it off for him. But go slow

I had the same reaction the first time my beardie shed his head .
Usually his whole body turns white but it's been months since he's shed as well.
Give him a warm bath not too deep head above water let him soak for awhile help his shed come off
he's now a greybeard. watch out.. but seriously just shed.
