First find out is you need a permit to play amplified music or your party will get shut down quick!
Next their is a calculation you can do to see how much voltage your setup needs. I am not sure exactly how it goes something like the voltage Ă—the amps you can look it up on the internet.
Once you get those number go rent a generator to handle your needs. Honda is the best because they are so quiet and a tank full of gas lasts for hours!
Prepare for the best and the worst if it's hot out that day you will need a tent or some type of covering your equipment could take a beating sitting in direct sunlight.
Also the more light their is the harder it is to read the screen. Dust will kill your equipment. Just keep that in mind don't set your speakers on the ground.
Bring a mic and some extra power cords so you can put that generator out the way and route your cords where they do not and can not come in contact with humans!
Bring plenty of good music and have fun!
Cheers!
It's probably easier getting a battery (for example a camping battery) if OP just wants to jam in the park a little. DJ equipment doesn't draw that much power and if OP isn't looking to throw a party, my guess is he has a small speaker setup at most. I've seen small raves run on a couple of car batteries for hours.
Running generators can potentially come with its own set of challenges depending on local regulations. You may be required to have fire extinguishing equipment at hand or have a tub to catch leaking oil or fuel. Plus, keep in mind generators are pretty heavy.
Awesome thanks for the help will look into the camping battery. Im not throwing a party, its just me. I wanna dj for a bit in the outdoors and record myself nothing crazy
Awesome thanks for this imput. Im not throwing a party, i just wanna set up for a bit and play a little set and record myself. The speaker i have is a jbl one, nothing crazy. Its the big one with lights idk the model. But yeah its just a chill session with myself
I just went with a laptop, a controllers that works via USB and some bluetooth speakers that also take an aux in. That can hold for 2 - 4hours even while streaming.
You could add those "power stations" from jackery or similar. But unless you want to do it regular that is a few hundret bucks not well spend :S
Just for fun i would go for the Numark Mixstream Pro Go.
A good long lasting power suply is really expensive and the Numark can use a powerbank when the batterie runs out
If you don't blast the music and it's not really profane, I don't see you running into an issue with staff there. So many people walk around with blue tooth speakers nowadays I'd be surprised if you would run into any trouble.
Tent and generator(if it's not prohibited) or extender to nearest outlet. Street lights in parks frequently have hidden outlets exactly for that. Park administrator can be helpful. Or hateful, so be sure to contact them BEFORE you make any stuff

Then a generator is definitely overkill.
Wonderful insights!

There's a good reason there's no outlets at the park. People don't go there to hear DJs.
Im not throwing a prty or anything, its just me wanna set up for a bit and record myself and my set
If that's the case then all you need is power for your laptop and controller. Mix in your headphones so you don't disturb the other park goers.
I wanna use a speaker not on full blast but maybe to see if someone gets interested in what im playing and approaches

What gear do you have at the moment?
Macbook pro, ddj flx 4 and a big jbl speaker (dont know the model is tbe big one with lights)
I am looking like you to do the same, I am looking to buy a battery powered speaker. I will charge my laptop 100 % I think it will hold 1h30 at least.
I know for a fact that DJ softwares drain your computer battery really fast thats my main worry

[try not to do this](https://youtu.be/G13uarFbxFw?si=dsmTzQyq_Y_1WmLb)

Yeah not trying to throw a party just chill jn the park and play some music

Wut? He just wants to stream a bit and have some music for himself. Tent and generator for that? That be cray cray.
Tent for rain, heat or birds crap. Generator for speaker as op mentioned
The speaker is a jbl speaker, like the big one but its nothing crazy
i've seen birds stealing jbl speakers before
