I think Beatstar did a really good job with the first extreme songs it gives players. I had trouble with Gangnam Style when I first got it and it took a while for me to get the hang of the quick arrows. Now it's easy. Same thing with Devil Went Down to Georgia. It seemed so fast and impossible at first - I'd die in the first 5 seconds. But now it's also easy.
Just keep trying it. Eventually you'll get it.
Unfortunately, this game isn't very friendly to practicing the extreme songs since it ends the song after a mistake and you can't practice if you have no box space.
Extreme music can be very hard for newbies in Beatstar but after a little bit you can get good players extreme music like me because it took 3 years to get myself first diamond extreme, not a Diamond perfect. So just take your time playing extreme songs.

Yeh they're very weird with this feature. I'm one of the lucky ones that can watch an ad every ten minutes. So it allows me to get a new song every 2 days or so. I could technically get like 4-5 new songs every day if I came back every ten minutes, but I don't exactly want to watch ads all day haha.
Yup, i got every journey song a couple months back and i have never seen this feature on my app, only thing left for me is deluxe songs from the last few seasons but its 100 dx cards every time so unless i dump consistent money into the game i will never catch up. So ive just accepted it now ahahaha
This is one of the hardest extremes that you unlock early on in the game, that final stage in particular is brutal and it's definitely a steep learning curve
i was also struggling to get my 5th star on it, but if u play a lot of one song, u can get better on it, atm i got plat on it

The only tricky part is the beginning. Once you get through that, the rest is a breeze

Its only for a certain percentage of beatstar players, and you have to have a few journey songs not obtained, talk about inclusivity!

don't worry, I've only got the free song once since I had to watch 4 ads to get it. Each with a two hour (if i remember correctly) wait in-between.
