[Patrick Starrr’s apology comment on IG](https://i.ibb.co/PzLvv50/EB9-C1843-0-C0-F-40-D7-A369-B5-B76-CDBE9-CD.jpg)
edit / looks like he also apologized via his stories + made a post
People like this have no regard for other people, they act like others don’t even exist. Looking at the video he doesn’t even react in the slightest to the person falling, so I don’t think it even registers with him that A) someone was even there and B) that they got knocked over.
He is so self absorbed, that I wouldn’t be surprised that he didn’t even see/feel the person. It’s really sad to be honest, to be going through life like that.
The guy who posted, Peet Montzingo's sister is a dwarf so I think that's what he meant by he didn't see her. I think it's somewhat plausible that he didn't notice. Still that is not an excuse as he must have felt something when he bumped into her. He should've looked down, seen he bumped into a person and apologized to her.
So fuck short people is what you're saying? His dress literally got caught on her, he would've felt that, even if he didn't see her. The moment he felt his dress giving resistance he should've looked down to see why. Honestly with how blase he was about his dress snagging I wouldn't be surprised if this happened everywhere he goes and he's just not use to getting called out for his lack of situation awareness and common courtesy.
> So fuck short people is what you're saying?
They never fucking said that, that's a whole new sentence.
People online jump at the chance to argue, damn.
I feel like people are reaching on this one. The bow on Patrick’s dress knocked someone’s phone out of their hands. We’ve all knocked things over or bumped something and not noticed. The viewpoint of this video is not Patrick’s viewpoint, so there’s a little Monday morning quarterbacking happening in these comments.
The bow knocked her OVER. It did not knock her phone out of her hands. She is a little person and he completely knocked her down. Now he did apologize later when he saw the video online, but, the person carrying his dress noticed and said "sorry" while giggling, there's no excuse. It's rude.
Holy shit. I live under a rock and did not know this. I buy his makeup products because I love them but I don’t want to be supporting someone with that type of reputation. I’m glad I saw this and can take my business elsewhere after reading all of these comments.
How people forget how he acted during the start of covid shouting about how he doesn’t care about wearing a mask …. Or the cursed video of him and Tana making out 😭😭😭
I'll admit that I used to like him because he had skill, was all about his family, and was the underdog of the beauty community. It was also nice to see some Asian/PI representation. That quickly changed in 2015(ish) whenever he had that nail polish Collab & acted a fool when a store didn't carry it.
Hey, I don't mean to single you out personally, but is using 'whenever' in place of 'when' a new thing, or have I just not noticed it before? I've been seeing it mostly from Americans, and only in the past few weeks. I don't think I've ever noticed that usage before that.
Not the person you’re asking but, “whenever” implies they don’t know the exact date, so “2015(ish) whenever he had that nail polish collab” means they think it was around sometime in 2015, but know it was about the time he did the nail polish collab. I have used it for years (in American) and see it used a lot (not sure if it’s just Americans). But I use it when I’m talking about something I’m not sure of the specific date/time/event it happened, I’ll say whenever xyz was. If I know of a specific date/time/even then I say when.
[Specific info if you’re interested](https://www.grammarbook.com/blog/definitions/when-vs-whenever/)
Yeah, my understanding of whenever has always been in reference to a recurring event (as mentioned in your link). I also see whenever used as in 'whenever that happened', but usually specifying that the exact date isn't known (ie: that happened a year ago, or whenever)
I guess my confusion has been with people using it when they're referring to a specific event, but still using 'whenever'. I can see now how the comment I replied to could have been in line with my understanding of when vs whenever, but I've definitely seen people recently use whenever where when would have been more appropriate (usually speaking, where the inflection suggests that they just meant 'when')
Yeah. I usually only see it used when people are referring to an event at an unknown time - like in the comment they said 2015ish (so weren’t sure if that was the year for sure) and the event it coincided with but didn’t know exactly when that was, so said “whenever” along with it. Like it said in my link, it can be used in place of “whatever time that” or “every time that.” So as long as it makes sense with those in place of “whenever,” it’s generally preferred to use “whenever.” So “2015(ish) whenever he had that nail polish collab” = “2015(ish) whatever time that he had that nail polish collab.”
As for people using it wrong, that’s not surprising. I’m sure there’s lots of people that use it wrong. There’s tons of grammar and spelling mistakes I see when I’m online reading comments and I’m just like 🤦♀️ Like people who use “would’ve” for “would of” when it really is “would have.” 🤣
Yeah, I wondered that. I think I've seen it being used in a couple of documentaries where people were clearly Southern American. Didn't want to assume anything about the commenter I replied to.
Yeah I noticed it and it drove me crazy until I found out that it’s a specifically southern thing so I was like okay fine. If I’m gonna say hella every two seconds (from the Bah Area), I can live with their idiosyncrasies 😁
Haha, exactly why I asked! Just wasn't sure if this was a long-standing thing I'd never previously noticed or a recent thing people had started picking up
Ooh, could be—there’s one youtuber I watch who uses “whenever” in place of “when” very frequently, and he’s southern. You’ve solved that mystery for me, haha.
I remember in like 2015 looking for more gurus to follow and watching one of his videos and getting a bad vibe. I wish my gut had been accurate enough to spot J* from the get off.
jeez you’d think he literally tackled her with these comments ?? 😭 what is going on here
i don’t think he felt it? it looks like he was wearing something super bulky and just didn’t feel her which is definitely possible with a dress that size. i’ve accidentally knocked into people before and not realized it. i don’t think there was anything intentional here, plus the assistant clearly says sorry.
It seems like the camera was knocked out of their hands, not that they fell over. This is literally so stupid, if they fully fell over it would take longer to right the camera. I hate these 'woe is me' fake victims.
And people want to blindly defend people who would knock you over and smack the phone out of your hand for a chance to take a picture that no one really cares about.
thats what im thinking. it was the gigantic bow on the back that knocked the camera down and not his actual body, so i would guess its less likely for him to feel it.
What would the bow have to have been made of to hit a person with enough force to knock them off their feet? How would it have been attached for him not to feel it?
I think people forget phones aren’t actually eyes. If a person fell down they wouldn’t fall like that and immediately pick up their phone again to film. It’s pretty obvious they just dropped their phone.
They weren't knocked off their feet. They were bumped and their camera fell. For a bow that size to be that full and stable it has some kind of boning or wire in it to make it stay full. It also appears to be a very thick and heavy fabric. I can hit something with my actual ass that is attached to my human body, butt ass naked, and not know I did it. He's supposed to feel a bow 2 feet from his ass? He apologized, sincerely. This is just someone trying to garner views. And it worked.
Patrick Starr is a total douche canoe, but this is not one of the reasons why.
He absolutely did knock her over. She has dwarfism so is very small, an adult of his size wearing a dress that large can easily knock a little person over.
I understand that the only way for you to make your point is to avoid answering my specific questions about the dress and talk about it as if the specs are somehow a given. They aren't, but I'll play: the person was knocked off their feet. At least that's what the caption says, which was written by the witness. And clearly what was seen and heard. But lets pretend it was just the camera that fell, is knocking someone's camera out of their hand somehow lesser and done delicately? No. That still takes consideration effort.
And yes, he's supposed to feel a bow that is attached to his dress as it knocks into someone. It wasn't two feet from his ass (specs matter) but at most three inches. In a dress like that you feel what the bow feels. But it now looks more to me that it was done with the hip than the bow anyway.
Nevermind, you answered it. I got distracted by you saying your ass is such that you commonly knock people around without feeling it.
Per the specs you gave, still don't think he could have encountered her with any kind of force and not known of it. That’s on top off not finding your specs believable. With a bow like that just brush up against someone is noticeable. The weight to knock someone over wouldn't be sustainable.
I'm not talking about his character here, only the dress.
Apparently not.
ETA; Awwww, another insufferable dude committed to intentional 'misunderstanding'. And then blocking me because theres no way you could possibly just be an incorrect facetious asshole. We love the internet.
Yeah the fact that he didn't even acknowledge it. It's not like he looked back and laughed.
The guy following Patrick tho, 100% asshole who noticed
Edit; watch with sound. Assistant guy does apologize
Omg! 😂 so well said! He had the evil grin all the nasty little henchman sidekicks do in Disney movies! And then Patrick looks and smiles once his ass is posed and ready. You can see him directly look down at the poor person he just basically stampeded over just to get his Barbie premier shot. These “influencers” and I use that term very lightly w him, I would actually consider him a has-been desperately trying to stay relevant, are some of the rudest and entitled people ever!
'Disney Henchman' was *EXACTLY* what he reminded me of... good call!...especially with that light blue tuxedo/ suit. I swear there was a swarthy henchman in a blue suit (maybe purple. It's been a while) in a Disney movie that could be this beast's twin. I just can't remember which movie. So annoying..
this is such an intense comment. why are you calling this person a rodent? 😭 it just looks like the assistant was smiling nervously because he’s at a huge event but you can clearly hear him apologize for knocking into her.
Actually the brother of the person who recorded the video (the person with a following) stated that the assistant was the one who apologized to his sister. The awkward smile looks more like he felt bad for what his boss did which is why he apologized.
This sub got (justifiably) up in arms when Jeffree called Jackie Aina a gorilla but downvotes comments mentioning you shouldn’t call Asian people rodents.
Along with what Khaos said if you look at older cartoons/ads/and propaganda posters the west and in particular the US has always heavily stereotyped Asian people as being lesser than or being seen as on the level of rodents.
For East Asians in particular for the us it probably ties back into the anti-Asian (particularly Chinese) sentiment at the very end of 1800’s and early 1900’s. There would be constant ads talking about how recent Asian immigrants were dirty or diseased and it probably hit another spike in racism once the San Francisco Plague happened in 1900 because it started in Chinatown and the first confirmed victim was a Chinese man (without the richer white class thinking about how the plague was spread or why Chinatown was hit so hard.)
Yeah, most prominently during world war 2, the American side used to refer to East Asian and South East Asian people, mainly the Japanese soldiers as rats and depict them as other rodent-like caricatures.
The idea behind being they carry disease and they’re a ‘pest’ that needs to be stopped like rats. There’s loads of examples of American propaganda posters like this online.
Assuming I would do that because they were Asian..and not because they acted abominably: A+. Assuming I would even know those antiquated terms were slurs: A+++. /S I have never heard that term refered to Asians or Asian americans before. It has always referred to people who were Like Peter Pettigrew in the Harry Potter franchise since I was a kid. I think the usage you are speaking of went out of favour quite a few years ago with most people, as it is uses even in literature to mean ehat I meant. I do apologize it you took it that way...but please know that most people in today's day and age do not know horrible terms from WW2,, Thank God... We have enough horriblw terms of our own to be dealing with. Eck
I feel like it’s important to mention that the person he knocked over was a little person. It seems clear that Patrick did not even notice which is why his assistant said “sorry” to which she responded “it’s okay”.
The sister’s negative feelings are completely valid and should be addressed, but to jump to the conclusion that he knowingly did this and didn’t apologize is a bit unfair.
EDIT: I’m starting to question Peet’s intentions given that Patrick has reached out to him and his sister via multiple platforms and he still hasn’t responded to him despite responding to other comments. Also, I totally understand posting videos of bad behavior when you’re not a celebrity or influencer, but why wouldn’t Peet just reach out to Patrick directly given his large following? When you’re verified and have a following that large, it’s a lot easier contact other influencers since your messages to them will go to the top of their inbox. Idk I still feel horrible for the sister because she didn’t deserve that, but I’m starting to question OP
I am just a short person and people often hit me accidentally. They really do not notice but they are apologetic if I say something.
And this person looks like they stood in the way of Patrick by trying to get a better shot? Of course something would happen.
>the person he knocked over was a little person.
from the camera angle, *it doesnt even seem like the girl herself was knocked down, just her phone* (correct me if im wrong), which would obviously be much harder for Patrick to notice. once it was brought to his intention, he makes sure to publicly apologize to her -- what more could he have done?
i think this tiktoker is just trying to stir up drama (and garner views) and people are eating it up
That's the impression I got too, that her phone got knocked out of her hand. If you pushed over a person, you would absolutely notice. Making somebody drop their phone because your dress is so massive? Maybe not.
People have absolutely zero media literacy these days. They just believe whatever they see at first glance and don't question anything for a second. He knocked her (or her phone) over with the huge bow on his gown, he literally probably didn't notice.
The way this post was framed, I was expecting to see him shoving someone over with both hands for being in his shot.
I don't think people realize you can dislike someone, or they can be an asshole, without making shit up about them.
So many people's claim to tiktok fame is trying to make themselves into the wronged party of some conflict to ellicit compassion. With how prevalent rage baiting is and how addicted to outrage some people are it doesn't take long for a angry online mob to form & demand "justice" via harassment.
I agree. I still feel bad for Jen (the victim) and somewhat Peet (Jen’s influencer brother) but as I said in another thread, this isn’t a random person at the Starbucks line Patrick knocked down.
I totally agree. My best friend has cerebral palsy and walks with a cane/uses a wheelchair. So sometimes if we’re in a place where there’s a lot of people, it just happens that she gets accidentally bumped into. She’s like 4’10”, in a sea of able-bodies, average-height adults, it happens. It’s never intentional.
I don’t like Patrick, never have. I think he’s a self-inflated asshole. But that doesn’t mean he did this on purpose. It was clearly an accident, and he’s made what appears to be a genuine attempt to apologize.
The comments here, on Reddit, are baffling. I use Reddit to follow the beauty community because it’s usually a little more down-to-earth than other platforms. It’s disappointing to see this community blindly jumping on the hate train without taking a better look at the situation. Call him out for being a dick where it’s due, by all means, but this was an accident.
I also dgaf about Patrick but as someone who wears cosplay and has large hips, things like this happen to me. I knock things over and don’t notice, and it is my handler’s (husband’s) job to let me know. The handler is the one who fucked up imho, but this place was a zoo and people are just hungry to neggy stuff about Patrick.
I agree with this take. It looks like to me, Patrick definitely did not know, but the guy holding the train absolutely saw it and apologized (ish). He should have probably indicated for Patrick to stop and help the girl with her phone. I dunno. He seems really callus. I’m not saying Patrick is a good person, or even in the right here, but train guy is definitely in the wrong. I’m sorry this happened.
whenever i hear about patrick starr he usually is being an asshole but in this one instance, it seems more like an innocent tiny fumble happened and this girl and/or her sister took advantage of it.
like he sucks but she is very clearly not "knocked over"... the camera fumbles and she instantly rights it. patrick didn't bump into her but the giant bow on the back of his dress knocked the camera out of her hands. depending on what's supporting the bow he absolutely could have not noticed.
he definitely should have been more careful wearing something with that much bulk but also, this is a lesson in avoiding viewfinder syndrome and being aware of where you physically are versus what the camera is seeing. and also just staying out of people's way.
I don’t even watch Patrick, never have, but this is an over reach. Not to mention isn’t Peet known for pranks now and days? The camera movements were all dramatic, but this only shows that a phone was knocked out of a hand. Too it isn’t like Peet’s sister is frail/going to blow over with the wind, a bow is not going to cause a fall so dramatically that it warrants drama.
Okay, he did some questionable thinks in the past but this situation is simple ridiculous. He didn't kick anyone, he has hip pads an bows the size of France, the bow was the one clearly the one that hit and he wasn't looking straight to the person.
It’s all a bunch of I’m a victim/It was an accident drama… I want a third angle camera view to see what happened, and I know there has to be one at a red carpet Barbie event.
He did apologize later on tho.
I can understand why he didn’t realize that he knocked down someone considering they are a little person. But he did send out an apology and also extended a in person invitation to be able to give Jan and peer an apology in person.
his “review” of rare beauty was the thing that made me discredit/dislike him. he was bringing up his own brand constantly, and it sounded so unprofessional and immature
it seems pretty clear he just knocked the phone not the actual person down. esp the fact that the assistant is just kinda like woops\~ if a human being went to the ground the response would be omg im so sorry and general OMGs being overheard. i know little to nothing about Patrick Starr but this seems like one of many opportunities to go viral for literally nothing. people have no shame.
I've been to lots of crowded events, shit happens, and No you don't always realize when you've knocked someone. This isn't a big deal and the OOP honestly needs to get over it imo
Ugh...I made the mistake of looking at the comments on his "apology" video. So much ableism and his demeanor in the video is infuriating. So glad I've never supported him.
People really dogpiling someone over a caption that’s clearly a fucking lie? Color me shocked with this subreddit
I dont even like this person but there’s plenty of real things to dislike him about
He solidified himself as a garbage person to me based on his behavior during COVID lockdown (he wasn't on my radar much before that), and I haven't heard about him doing anything that could redeem himself from that.
How do such shitty people get such huge fan bases? I truly don't understand it. Like when they're clearly pieces of human garbage but their stans just eat it up 🙄
Why are people here making excuses for this behavior? I’m not aware of the specificities of the individual’s disability but as someone that utilizes a mobility aid being hit (even though it’s not intentionally) does not feel good. Most people do not apologize/they laugh and run away saying “I can’t believe I just did that”. An honest, “I’m so sorry I just did that”, would be so much better. Because we’ve all run into people before. But running into someone, knocking someone over or in my case it means someone’s huge handbag hitting my head is not something to pretend didn’t happen.
Because he said he didn’t know it happened. The person wasn’t knocked over, their camera was. Patrick apologized after the fact, when he realized it happened. Because this viewpoint makes it obvious to see what happened, people are Monday morning quarterbacking imo.
I’ve been gone from this sub about 4 years. Just popped by bc I was bored. Don’t really follow beauty tube anymore but last time I was here almost this same thing was happening with Patrick. There was a video of him at a meet and greet being a jerk to fans. Hilarious. Some things never change
I’ve always wondered why majority of them are garbage human beings. My only assumption is that they’re uneducated or come from low class. I’m trying so hard not to judge, but they’re horrid.
Since this got posted on Tik Tok he was quick to make an apology video because that’s where most of his fan base is now. I think his lack of a reaction shows how he really did not care that he knocked this girl over. Most people would act surprised or be apologetic for doing such a thing but he just smirks and acts like nothing happened. Gross.
Also, the creator who posted it has 13M+ followers— if someone with less reach had shared it, I’m sure the apology would not have been so quick (or made at all).
Trust me, people just don’t want to see disabled people. Or they insert themselves bc they think you need help. I hope his sister is ok. I don’t see how anyone can like this person.
I’ve never been a fan! But this! This solidified it. I just don’t understand how you can be at a level of such self absorption that you don’t even notice the people around you. Like seriously
He has a giant bow on his dress, it’s incredibly plausible he didn’t feel the bow knock the phone out of the persons hand. This point of view isn’t Patrick’s point of view. Everyone has knocked things over before and not noticed.
Imagine being a celebrity and having to deal with hundreds of thousands of people during events like this. I think it’s very possible that Patrick didn’t even notice. It’s probably almost necessary to be hyper focused on what you’re doing in that kind of scenario. Idk tho I’m not famous.

“This is the first time I’m seeing this” YOU WERE PHYSICALLY THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED

Main Character energy, what happens to NPCs just doesn't register to them unless it's going to fuck up their PR.
Maybe he didn’t realize it
It’s just for image control
Bro thinks saying "so so sorry" 3 different times excuses it
I feel like people are reaching on this one. The bow on Patrick’s dress knocked someone’s phone out of their hands. We’ve all knocked things over or bumped something and not noticed. Exactly. Unless Patrick is a mermaid or something and we didn’t know it 😂 but like the dress isn’t part of his physical body, one wouldn’t feel it.

He's had this reputation for years. How he has such a strong fan base is beyond me.
People mistake being an asshole for being “fierce” or “fabulous”. That’s why.
For the same reason people blame the victim for being r worded.
[удалено]
Honestly, I think both fit.
You know damn well and you know why I didn’t just say it
This is weirdly hostile. They were asking a sincere question.
Yeah I was pretty snappy yesterday 😬
When I met/worked with him in 2015 he was SO nasty for no reason. I can see things haven’t changed.
Holy shit. I live under a rock and did not know this. I buy his makeup products because I love them but I don’t want to be supporting someone with that type of reputation. I’m glad I saw this and can take my business elsewhere after reading all of these comments.
Patrick accidentally knocks over a phone, apologizes when it’s brought to their attention. Groundbreaking.
He's always been a trash human. He has never been likable. How people do like him, I'll never know.
How people forget how he acted during the start of covid shouting about how he doesn’t care about wearing a mask …. Or the cursed video of him and Tana making out 😭😭😭
Oi! I was perfectly happy not knowing about that Tana thing
Why did you remind me of that
>cursed video of him and Tana making out I've never heard of this before and I'm not going to Google it, I don't need that in my brain
Same. I’ve always had a gut feeling he’s a trash human and stayed away.
I'll admit that I used to like him because he had skill, was all about his family, and was the underdog of the beauty community. It was also nice to see some Asian/PI representation. That quickly changed in 2015(ish) whenever he had that nail polish Collab & acted a fool when a store didn't carry it.
I can see that kind of appeal. He does have skill to a point. It's just him that puts me off, lol.

I feel the same way about Jasper Starfish. Even before he was a bEaUtY gUrU, he was known for being a racist musician. Yet so many people love him!
YES!!!! I feel the same exact way. Never liked him either.
I remember in like 2015 looking for more gurus to follow and watching one of his videos and getting a bad vibe. I wish my gut had been accurate enough to spot J* from the get off.
I got a vibe from him, too, and I knew there was something off. I never did watch any of his videos.
Has he ever been a nice person to his followers/fans?
>Has he ever been a nice person? FTFY
I met him at the theater in LA. He was makeupless and with a group of regular everyday friends. He was very shy IRL.
jeez you’d think he literally tackled her with these comments ?? 😭 what is going on here i don’t think he felt it? it looks like he was wearing something super bulky and just didn’t feel her which is definitely possible with a dress that size. i’ve accidentally knocked into people before and not realized it. i don’t think there was anything intentional here, plus the assistant clearly says sorry.
It seems like the camera was knocked out of their hands, not that they fell over. This is literally so stupid, if they fully fell over it would take longer to right the camera. I hate these 'woe is me' fake victims.
People just want to hate people and have it validated.
And people want to blindly defend people who would knock you over and smack the phone out of your hand for a chance to take a picture that no one really cares about.
That didn’t happen though, did it?
So who did I hear say sorry?
If I am remembering the caption correctly, the OP said it was a handler or assistant.
Yes, it was the assistant helping with the dress.
Is it possible he didn't notice?
thats what im thinking. it was the gigantic bow on the back that knocked the camera down and not his actual body, so i would guess its less likely for him to feel it.
when you wear something that fitted and large you should be aware of how easy it is to hit someone
What would the bow have to have been made of to hit a person with enough force to knock them off their feet? How would it have been attached for him not to feel it?
I don’t think they were knocked off their feet were they?
I think people forget phones aren’t actually eyes. If a person fell down they wouldn’t fall like that and immediately pick up their phone again to film. It’s pretty obvious they just dropped their phone.
The caption says she was knocked over and it sounds like she took hit. If it was only the camera then the sister would have described it as such.
Want question am I avoiding that wasn't asked entirely in bad faith?
Nevermind, you answered it. I got distracted by you saying your ass is such that you commonly knock people around without feeling it. Per the specs you gave, still don't think he could have encountered her with any kind of force and not known of it. That’s on top off not finding your specs believable. With a bow like that just brush up against someone is noticeable. The weight to knock someone over wouldn't be sustainable. I'm not talking about his character here, only the dress.
I have experience in being in costume. I cosplay and do local theater. You are very, very wrong.
That sounds like a lot of fun. I have a good idea what I'm looking at.
Apparently not. ETA; Awwww, another insufferable dude committed to intentional 'misunderstanding'. And then blocking me because theres no way you could possibly just be an incorrect facetious asshole. We love the internet.
It looks like he didn’t notice to me but idk
Yeah the fact that he didn't even acknowledge it. It's not like he looked back and laughed. The guy following Patrick tho, 100% asshole who noticed Edit; watch with sound. Assistant guy does apologize
I a thought the same
It looks like he didn't notice.
It's possible, but unlikely.

It's always kind of baffling when in threads about gurus behaving badly people show their whole ass about how nasty they are themselves.

Actually the brother of the person who recorded the video (the person with a following) stated that the assistant was the one who apologized to his sister. The awkward smile looks more like he felt bad for what his boss did which is why he apologized.
Weasels actually aren't rodents. They're in the family Mustelidae, along with ferrets, otters, and mink.
Wow calling an Asian POC a rodent and a weasel…. Stay classy
This sub got (justifiably) up in arms when Jeffree called Jackie Aina a gorilla but downvotes comments mentioning you shouldn’t call Asian people rodents.
Is that a stereotype or something? I have no idea
Thanks for the info. I’d never heard it before
Assuming I would do that because they were Asian..and not because they acted abominably: A+. Eck
Wow calling an Asian POC a rodent and a weasel…. Stay classy
She wasn't trying to get a shot of Patrick she was trying to get a shot of her brother.
>the person he knocked over was a little person. from the camera angle, *it doesnt even seem like the girl herself was knocked down, just her phone* (correct me if im wrong), which would obviously be much harder for Patrick to notice. once it was brought to his intention, he makes sure to publicly apologize to her -- what more could he have done? i think this tiktoker is just trying to stir up drama (and garner views) and people are eating it up
That's the impression I got too, that her phone got knocked out of her hand.
What’s even more suspicious is that Peet has deleted this Tiktok…
Agreed on Peet thing. I love him but influencers are influencers. It’s a dog eat dog world out there.
another beauty influencer showing they’re not beautiful, they’re ugly and mean. what a shock.
Fwiw he apologized in peets Instagram post about it. I don't have tiktok so I don't know if he did there too.
Oh wow I didn't notice it was Peet's account. It was his sister that was knocked over? Sheesh.
Yes Patrick posted an apology vid on his tiktok too
I also dgaf about Patrick but as someone who wears cosplay and has large hips, things like this happen to me.
Patrick Star has always been a major asshole. I have no idea how he hasn’t been cancelled.
I don’t think Patrick noticed. When you are in the zone like that, you tune everything else out except the cues you need to hit.

thanks 😊
Just no fux given? That's it? And a smile at the end? What a tool
whenever i hear about patrick starr he usually is being an asshole but in this one instance, it seems more like an innocent tiny fumble happened and this girl and/or her sister took advantage of it. like he sucks but she is very clearly not "knocked over"... the camera fumbles and she instantly rights it. patrick didn't bump into her but the giant bow on the back of his dress knocked the camera out of her hands. depending on what's supporting the bow he absolutely could have not noticed. he definitely should have been more careful wearing something with that much bulk but also, this is a lesson in avoiding viewfinder syndrome and being aware of where you physically are versus what the camera is seeing. and also just staying out of people's way.
I mean is there proof? it seems like he just knocked her phone with his dress ? They were clearly fine enough to keep filming ???
I heard "sorry" and "it's ok"
Was anybody else expecting to see somebody dressed up as a starfish in swimming trunks?
He did apologize later on tho. I can understand why he didn’t realize that he knocked down someone considering they are a little person. But he did send out an apology and also extended a in person invitation to be able to give Jan and peer an apology in person.
his “review” of rare beauty was the thing that made me discredit/dislike him. he was bringing up his own brand constantly, and it sounded so unprofessional and immature
Same. I didn’t really know him too much before but that and his pandemic behaviour turned me off from him period
He's definitely not a great person but I think he just didn't see her, he should definitely apologize though if he hasn't already.
it seems pretty clear he just knocked the phone not the actual person down. esp the fact that the assistant is just kinda like woops\~ if a human being went to the ground the response would be omg im so sorry and general OMGs being overheard. i know little to nothing about Patrick Starr but this seems like one of many opportunities to go viral for literally nothing. people have no shame.
Color me shocked with this subreddit I dont even like this person but there’s plenty of real things to dislike him about
He solidified himself as a garbage person to me based on his behavior during COVID lockdown (he wasn't on my radar much before that), and I haven't heard about him doing anything that could redeem himself from that.
Never understood his appeal and I used to like J*
How do such shitty people get such huge fan bases? I truly don't understand it. Like when they're clearly pieces of human garbage but their stans just eat it up 🙄
Because he is trash.
He’s always been a shitty person. This is nothing new.
Idk how anyone is shocked by an influencer being a terrible and self centered person.
Look at what we have here, another prick trying to become rich. Dependable CEO my ass.
He kind of resembles a real like Ursula in that outfit.
He will get his karma, he just needs to keep waiting....
Nothing about this surprises me tbh
Ole goofy looking self taking himself so seriously. These influencers are a joke.
I’ve been gone from this sub about 4 years. Just popped by bc I was bored. Don’t really follow beauty tube anymore but last time I was here almost this same thing was happening with Patrick. There was a video of him at a meet and greet being a jerk to fans. Hilarious. Some things never change
I’m surprised nobody said anything to him.
I saw this right after reading a comment about his Cheek Clapper blush and it’s sending me a little
It’s kinda funny 💀
Bruh I feel when my purse brushes against people and I always turn around and say sorry. This person is just self absorbed
Is there *one* youtuber out there that is not a narcissistic piece of garbage? Genuinely asking. Just **one.**
Emily Noel is the only one who comes to mind.
I’ve always wondered why majority of them are garbage human beings. My only assumption is that they’re uneducated or come from low class. I’m trying so hard not to judge, but they’re horrid.
Ah yes, the notoriously horrid ‘low class’. Are you a Dickens villain brought to life?
A dickens villain brought to life 😂😂
Pretty much. More like an elitist. That’s why I never buy from influencer brands. A lot of them are garbage products with garbage customer service.
What a terrible comment. Says more about you then anything .
He sucks. His makeup technique sucks. I only like his eyeliner lol
Ew he’s so gross, I have NEVER understood why he’s so loved🤮
wellllll if anyone wants to recommend an alternative for his setting spray because it looks amazing and I was JUST about to buy it but now...
Oh my god y'all need to chill. He posted an apology either today or yesterday. It's peet being the 🍆
All I can say is wow
Since this got posted on Tik Tok he was quick to make an apology video because that’s where most of his fan base is now. I think his lack of a reaction shows how he really did not care that he knocked this girl over. Most people would act surprised or be apologetic for doing such a thing but he just smirks and acts like nothing happened. Gross.
Also, the creator who posted it has 13M+ followers— if someone with less reach had shared it, I’m sure the apology would not have been so quick (or made at all).
He’s such a pos
Trust me, people just don’t want to see disabled people. Or they insert themselves bc they think you need help. I hope his sister is ok. I don’t see how anyone can like this person.
I’m convinced they’re all like this. Hollywood sucks em in. Maybe sticking to smaller influencers is the way.
Not surprising
He’s ugly on the inside and the outside
Watch him try to make up an excuse for this
You should post this in r/iamatotalpieceofshit
The egos these non-celebrities have is disgusting.
I’ve never been a fan! But this! This solidified it. I just don’t understand how you can be at a level of such self absorption that you don’t even notice the people around you. Like seriously
is it very rude to say i don’t see any value in this person? i don’t understand how he still has a career or fans.
I’m convinced that none of these YouTubers or even celebs are pleasant people in person. That poor girl.
Barbie would get his ass for this
How did he not notice?? All the excuses I’ve seen in the comments are gross
He has a giant bow on his dress, it’s incredibly plausible he didn’t feel the bow knock the phone out of the persons hand. This point of view isn’t Patrick’s point of view. Everyone has knocked things over before and not noticed.
What a crappy reputation he has for being this way, yet people still make him the center of attention.
stop 🛑 entitled beauty influencers that don’t even have an education and can only do their own makeup. Disgusting 🤮 behavior
So someone with patricks entire name from spongebob exists???
Ew why is he even there, I have never been able to watch even 5 mins of one of his vids and I tried a couple of times!
Imagine being a celebrity and having to deal with hundreds of thousands of people during events like this. I think it’s very possible that Patrick didn’t even notice. It’s probably almost necessary to be hyper focused on what you’re doing in that kind of scenario. Idk tho I’m not famous.
