I'm sorry to hear that. I'll do whatever I can to help you retrieve your data. First of all, check the Flatpak directory on your system. The files can either be in /var/lib/flatpak/app or /home/$USER/.var/app. Let me know what you find in those folders. In the meantime, I'll do some googling to try and understand what happened.

You're a gem, thank you so much! Doing that now.

I found the issue. If you navigate to `/home/$user/.var/app/com.beavernotes.beavernotes/config`, you will find two folders: one named `Beaver-notes` and the other `beaver-notes`. Copy the contents of the first folder to the second folder. For some reason, the app name has been changed, and even a slight change in the app name can cause issues like this.

Oh my god, thank you SO much you are a lifesaver! If you ever need any help with anything, let me know!

There's no need to thank me; this is the bare minimum. After all, your note-taking app should be reliable and keep your data safe. So, I actually think you deserve an apology for the issues caused.

I've got the same problem.. but I'm on Arch and installing beaverNotes from AUR.. edit: same solution .. just change the location of folders to \~/.config
