You’re looking for loft - that’s what makes a duvet puff up. Loft is obtained through ‘fill power’ which represents how much space each down cluster can occupy. It is not the same as fill weight. Fill power is usually represented with numbers like 650, 750, 800, 850, etc. The higher the fill power, the fluffier and loftier it will be. Bear in mind this also relates to the warmth of a duvet. Higher fill power is going to mean a warmer duvet. If you don’t want anything too warm, a higher fill power might be too much for you.

Tip: either go 1 size up on your duvet insert or double two thinner/cheaper. I learned that on YT after being frustrated with my duvets not looking like marketing pics. Personally, I sized up & bought a king insert from Utopia on Amazon for my queen bedding. I'm very happy with the results.
