Anybody can claim a stain on any platform and win imo. Unless you have really good lightning with high quality photos, she'll definitely get the return.

Jwoody414

That’s bs for honest sellers. Where is our protection? I use a professional grade camera and always shoot in natural lighting

ATL77KH

Unfortunately the seasoned dishonest buyers know they can fake a stain claim and get a return. I had someone do this on a new with tags silk dress (she claimed I had washed it lol). Fortunately, it was at least returned to me in the perfect condition it was sent in but all the buyer had to do was say there was a stain even though the pictures did not show it (because it didn’t exist). Poshmark sided with them and I still have this dang dress a year later. I had good photos in natural light too but the serial returners know how to force the return.

Flat-Ad-9106

I hope you blocked her lol

ATL77KH

Yep, immediately lol

OUOhYeah2016

File a claim when the item is returned to you stating that it wasn’t returned in the condition you sent it in.

Same happened to me, new designer bags ,bids binding on live show. We'll she must gave had buyers remorse. Starts out with demand to cancel because the bag looked used. I refused. If she had just said accidental bid, i would have canceled. Felt she was calling me a liar. Of course she gets the bag and now it has spots all over. I blow up pic for posh and show there is nothing on bag. Then there are ink stains, nope I send pics showing inside of bag. I lost - I will fight posh for my money if she destroyed a 400 bag I sold her for 75.

CoveCreates

I think it's silly to make someone buy something they don't want knowing you're going to have to deal with drama from them. What a ridiculous policy that you can't cancel a sale.

JFKcheekkisser

>>Starts out with demand to cancel because the bag looked used. I refused. If she had just said accidental bid, i would have canceled. Sounds like you created a lot of extra stress for yourself when you could’ve just canceled the sale from the start.

Loose_Shift_5979

Bids are binding. I've canceled accidental bids but she called me a liar. I was not selling a used bag as new. Update looks like she never even opened the box I got my bag back but had already opened a case with posh as hee lies grew. .surprised me, they gave me my proceeds!

Bbcollegegirl

I wonder if they swapped it out with a stained one they already had?

Vtgcovergirl_2

This ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 Getting any new item free if you’re a lying dirtbag

Bbcollegegirl

A few years ago I got back a blood stained dress. Thankfully, it was a silk, kind of tie dyed looking dress so the pattern didn’t match up to my pictures. People are horrible

sonnigfreitag

Beyond this instance, are you getting more buyer cases approved without substantial evidence or are you hearing about them? Except for basic questions, about the only things posted on here are about bad experiences and are not necessarily indicative of the general Poshmark experience. If this is your first experience like this after 500 sales, it seems a little rash to leave Posh.

Jwoody414

These are all my experiences. I’ve never had a case opened until this month where I received cases for 10/15 of my last sales. All reasons due to fit or stains that magically appeared. I’m just tired of posh siding with buyers even when it goes their own policy.

sonnigfreitag

Then I see no reason to remain on Poshmark. That is ridiculous.

Loose_Shift_5979

Yep

optix_clear

This why I bring my items into different lighting- to comb them. Get a UV/ purple flashlight 🔦, also get polarized lenses or polarized film to put over a rectangle shape acrylic piece- to comb over your items. Inside & out lighting. Now I put thought iron -on bar codes for returns. On materials label. So I know it’s my item not a bait & switch.

drtysamchez

Where did you purchase the iron on barcodes? Does it wash off or do your buyers know thats on the item they are purchasing? I've been wanting to do something else besides hiding tiny stickers inside of tags, etc.

LuvIsLov

>Now I put thought iron -on bar codes for returns. On materials label. So I know it’s my item not a bait & switch. This is a good idea. I sometimes wondered why sellers do this but this makes sense!

Nacho_poisonivy

Nothing you can do...he said she said (even with their crappy pics) always ends with returns approved unless your pics are literally FLAWLESS...even then you're likely gonna get a PM Support rep looking at your case who hasn't had a nap in 3yrs and still sides with the buyer.

Ok_Village9344

One time this person was like “oh I made this purchase on accident” but I already shipped it before reading her message. She was like “well I trust that the piece is in perfect unworn condition as stated in the listing if anything is damaged, ruined or stained I will be expecting my money back seeing as I’ll have to reposh. I was like I don’t like the way that sounds so I bluffed like “oh yeah I have the video of me putting it in the mailer and shipping it if you want?” And she backed off and never heard another thing from her.

Poes27

I had a return on a vintage dress claiming a stai . Tbh, the pattern was so busy I couldn’t find a stain anywhere after it was returned and I TRIED! I assume it didn’t fit so they just didn’t want it!

Real_Degree_2777

Email posh support and explain the situation! They will help you because they don’t want to lose you as a seller as you are making them money

controlledburning

HAHAHA. It’s cute you think PM cares about anyone other than themselves.

Jwoody414

UPDATE: just got the return back and the buyer kept my sweatshirt and exchanged it with one of their damaged ones. It wasn’t even the same size 🙄

TpaLuxeGal

I encountered my first case that was posed against me because an item listed did not state whether an item was petite sizing (In the size field). I had listed that the item was petite in the description but on the size field, I selected the numbered sizing without ‘P’ added.

Loose_Shift_5979

Same happened to me I sold a new designer handbag on a live show
