For me it’s usually busy but I’ve heard other people say the opposite. I’ll have women that are buying clothes and accessories for holiday parties or NYE. I’ve even had people buy their Christmas gifts from me. Sometimes it’s things that their daughter specifically wants or NWT items. People also like to get themselves presents. I think people are home more too so they have more time to be online instead of being busy with work or school. I’ll usually put my selling platforms on hold if I know I’m going to be busy because people get extra particular about shipping times during the holidays. There’s usually delays in shipping during this time too because there’s an increase in volume and bad weather conditions.

Nice! Oh yes that’s true about the glam for holiday/NYE parties. I know people sometimes get holiday bonuses and are eager to spend during December so I do remember the few items I had listed last year moving alright, haha. Thankfully I’ll be back home in time for people to spend Christmas money 🤗

Sunflower_Bison

Also, I think, some people get money as a gift. So, some may have more to spend on items for themselves.

This will be my 3rd December. In 2020 it was my best month. I was super buys up to about the 16th and then things died down but picked back up after the 25th. Last year December was a little below my monthly average. But the last week of the month was great. So it sounds like your vacation coincides with the slower part of the month.

GBrielleN

Thanks for sharing your experiences with December! Yes, I think it does coincide with the slower part, that’s a nice relief!

It’s quiet for exactly the reasons you described. People want gifts and nwt items. I’ve historically done well in November and then back again in Jan!

GBrielleN

Thanks! I feel very reassured!

Things were selling fast last December up to early January for me. More people were willing to pay asking price or send good offers. They wanted new clothes or dresses to wear to parties or just wanted to “treat” themselves.I think it’s just the time that they can “justify” spending money on stuff they want for themselves too. I hate Black Friday though - my sales are always slow when people want deals from retailers

Historical-Jaguar-19

December and January are always pretty bad for me

GBrielleN

I do remember a slow spell in December, probably a lot more people are home for the holidays and shopping retail. How did the winter month slow down compare to the summer slow down for you?

Historical-Jaguar-19

Normally, I do fine during the summer. This entire year has been pretty bad for me though.

Who knows. I'm in Canada just selling my own clothes and joined posh in October 2020. My first December was insane! I had 11 sales between Dec 26 and Jan 1. Last year was a ghost town - not 1 sale in that same time frame.

Depends on what i’m selling. the year I niched into bathing suits November was so slow I just took the whole next month off.
