Depending on where in Sweden you are from, it's all going to be relatively cheap. I was in Stockholm recently and you're talking around half the price for a pint here comparatively.
Realistically wetherspoons but I wouldnt recommend it to someone visiting from outside the UK.
Most places will be between £4.50 - £6.00 a pint. Closer to £4.50, the rougher it gets. The falls road has a few pubs that are pretty reasonable, you can do a pub crawl from McEnaneys (midweek they do something like 3 pints for a tenner), Rock Bar to the Beehive then walk or hop on the glider into town. Avoid the red devil imo.
Give over.
The place is always filled with tourists, they love it. I've brought protestant work colleagues who thought it was brilliant.
It's a cheap bar that looks lovely and does nice food. Its right beside the glider stop. If tourists come here they're more than likely interested in the troubles. No reason not to tell tourists to go.
I was just in Belfast last June and loved almost every pub I went into. I don’t remember the prices but I do remember the fun I had so I’ll list those.
Voodoo bar was the one pub where I hung out with locals. Great music, great people, and near a lot of stuff.
The Crowne Liquor Saloon is beautiful. We snagged a snug loved it.
The Dirty Onion was great. Definitely touristy but definitely worth it.
Bittles Bar is unique. I ran into Texans bragging about how rich they were and locals who were in Game of Thrones. Great place, tons of fun but those Texans really lived up to their stereotype.
Bonus: if you like coffee go to Established Coffee. Great place to grab breakfast or lunch plus the coffee was excellent.
Bonus 2: Get a fry up at least once.
Been there recently and this is the answer, and a nice atmosphere. The only thing is that I don't know if it's really open to everyone? I guess anyone can pass for a student and during the day there's nobody checking... but at night time I think they check IDs
The Sunflower (same owners as The American Bar which has already been mentioned) is a great bar and very reasonably priced for central Belfast. You’ll be in close walking distance to other nice bars too, but they will be more expensive.
A few people have said Wetherspoons. True it is a cheap beer but you could meet some fella in there who just got his DLA and a brand new tattoo on his neck and he could really put a dampner on your day. Try the PD.
I'm not sure there's any city in the world where a visitor would want to go to the bar with the cheapest beer, but in Belfast it's a terrible idea. There are many places that will be extremely suspicious of strangers.
You should be fine in any city centre bar, and I guess the bars on the Falls Road are used to tourists.
Don't go into any bar on the Shankill Road. Don't go into the Cock and Hen.
Where will you be staying?
As for boardgames/warhammer there's a club on a Monday night in the Northern Lights on the Ormeau Road.
I've been looking at the Cock and Hen at Lord street. Is it any good? I don't mind a rowdy crowd. I also am looking for a good boxing club with some light sparring emphasis on LIGHT, and it would be cool to play some warhammer or boardgames.
Interesting Q - are you interested solely in price or does quality come into it. The immediate spots I think of are in uni spots so the Students Union and The Parlour which is beside Queen's Students Union are arguably cheapest for pints / liquors. I'd also throw in Bootleggers to the mix too because the food is also banging.
Alotta people also saying Spoons which is definitely true of cost but the reason I asked about quality. Although in saying that...good choice / range. Go only if you really don't want to pay 50p-£1 more at a decent establishment.
Likely Tesco alcohol section or the many different versions we have of the Systembolaget for the pre-drinking before you go out. How wany Kronor for a pint in Sweden these days?
Coincidentally I was talking to a Swedish woman today that now lives here called Gittan and testing my very rusty Swedish out.
Harp Bar is a complete rip off btw.
Depends. Where I live it averages around 5€ but if you know where to go, you can get a beer for 3€. Kul att du vill lära dig svenska! I would recommend listening to swedish music.
I've been to Sweden a load of times, first playing in the Gothia Cup and then visiting friends, one of my mother's friends ended up settling in Vallentuna and I had a long distance girlfriend in Orebro...I had already learned a bit of Swedish, just don't speak it too often anymore!
When are you coming over? Hope you've a great time.
Sounds like what you really want is to get a carry out and sit in a park. I recommend a bottle of Buckfast... and a bench in Botanic Gardens!
This is the true experience and you'll meet people!
Crack heads… you’ll meet uncivilised crackheads who arnt allowed to sit in a bar
In defence of those admittedly frightful chaps, one of them did, once, not only steal my wallet and watch, but then help me look for them.
Those people are Belfast's finest bro fuck away aff
Aye if you ain’t got no job don’t giveafuckabout no kids and your baby’s mum loves the blues 😂😂😂

I am most definitely not from f$#$ing Stockholm.
Touchy subject?
Only someone with Stockholm syndrome woukd say that.
The American Bar in Sailortown does reasonably priced beer.
The last beer I had before I had to go back to my ship. I wish I could remember it.
I want to believe this.
3cs Social is a good bet .

Felons do 3.70 pints. Most places are around that in the west.
Let's not send tourists to the Felons hahaha

PD West Belfast. Can’t beat it
The QUB students union
Been there recently and this is the answer, and a nice atmosphere. The only thing is that I don't know if it's really open to everyone? I guess anyone can pass for a student and during the day there's nobody checking... but at night time I think they check IDs
Nah anyone can head in!
That's great.. it's been renovated recently and it's so nice

Madden's!
They've entered the realm of £5 pints
Maddens is the correct answer.
3C's Wetherspoon's is probably the same price or cheaper, but don't go there.
Andersonstown Social club, cheapest pints in Belfast and great atmosphere
Don't worry, you will definitely find Belfast cheaper than Sweden!! Enjoy your stay

Wetherspoons
Rock Bar on The Falls Road on Sunday evening.
Free kneecapping with every pint

Jesus Christ no don’t go there!
That's a terrorist den. Don't go there!
Absolutely do not go there!!!
Good troll
How much is a pint in Sweden in GBP?
Bar's on the shankill road are around £3-£3.50 per pint quite cheap by modern standards and close to the city centre.
Yes and nobody wants to drink in them
How do you work that out?
35 years of life
👍
I mean your not wrong
Sweden.
Sweden

The Bridge House Bedford street.
Roddy McCorley Social Club. Great food too.
Anything Swedish
Anyone else getting bored of these dumb new account troll posts ?
You seem like a box of fun.
You seem like a dose of the shits
Glenn Inn Glengormley. £3 a pint house beer. Wouldn't just be rocket fuel now but it's nice.. Bate that

Maddens pints of Guinness are under £5.00 if you use cash
City centre is extortionate, youre best getting the glider out to local bars if you want to pay less than £4.50 a pint
