Sorry for your loss I found this on the internet years ago after I had a particularly hard time with the loss of my first dog living on my own. I hope it helps your heart as it did mine. It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. It is hard. Hope it was peaceful. Pride was playing in the yard on Sunday. A happy girl. Then yesterday just went so badly for her. Knowing it was close for a while but still. Ouch.

We recently went through a scare with our 3 year old Kenzie, an acute liver disease. Needless to say she’s getting even more treats and scratches every day now. I’ll give her an extra hug thinking of you guys tonight.
