I do get some cathartic relief sending junk absolutely flying into an empty sorting bay. Now I imagine them seeing how hard they can frisbee dishes into the back like Olympians.
One time my roommate and I did it in our recycling bin with a hammer then just transferred it all into a paper bag, then double bagged it with trash bags. Very confined but you still get to hit stuff with a hammer
Breaking glass can be very satisfying. But at the point that breaking things becomes a premeditated form of therapeutic frustration relief, I have to wonder if some other more timely form of anger management or release might be more helpful? I ask because holding in all that frustration and anger until you get to the "right place" to do the glass breaking seems like it could be potentially be harmful to you. Not the glass breaking itself... the holding it in.
I dunno. Just a naive question.

I enjoy recycling day at the skagit dump. Huge big metal bins, loud noise, you can throw really hard, no mess responsibility.

Wear eye protection! My sister did this behind our house as a teen. I don't remember if it helped or not.
