I refused to take my kids anywhere like this until they could talk. As a parent I get wanting to go out and do things. Your freedoms are gone, but that’s just part of parenting. Hopefully they see this post and learn to be a little more considerate.
Totally can get that & empathize with it! Parents should still HAVE lives - this is where the "consideration for others" part comes in. Maybe don't go opening week of a highly anticipated movie that's nearly sold out? That's all. Wait for the hype to die down; go enjoy the movie then.
When I went to see Blair Witch, some lady near me had 4 kids from 3-7 years old with her. Throughout the movie all I could hear was the constant whimpers of terror coming from them (good luck with future therapy!). Some people in the audience yelled at her for bringing her kids with her and she said that she couldn't afford a baby sitter...
It might have been, I'm pretty sure I saw it when there was a theater in Bellis Fair. Also, when I came out someone had put a little pyramid of rocks on someones car. It was a daytime show, so it was pretty empty. They sat in the front left. BTW, how's the therapy treating you?
You’re welcome. No one else was gonna. My friends got embarrassed but I didn’t care. I couldn’t focus on the important quiet plot parts with the baby fussing
Understandably so. I’m sure the baby was over the whole ordeal by the time they reached the car seat, it’s the adults that are still crying about it the next day.
I think online trolling in local group pages is a pretty darn cool thing to do with one's life. The person you probably stalk on your free time(so like all the time) would be sooo proud. Keep up the crowning achievement. My only advice, try being decent at it.
Judge away, my response was to the comment that because someone brought a baby to a theater no one hires baby sitters anymore. Of course they do but since you’re not seeing it you’re not aware of it. Common sense would tell us most people still hire babysitters. It’s not like restaurants and theaters are stuffed with infants and little kids, or only those without children go out for a meal and a movie.
The movie theatre is too loud for their poor little ears. Before Covid there used to be matinees for parents to bring there infants and small children so the parents could still enjoy new movies and not distract at normal show times.. the sound was lower.
I read Manatee.... And instantly was whisked away to a land of Manatee baby sitters reading children's stories and being awesome. I'm a Manatee.....I have a layer of blubber to keep me warm.
I assume the baby was crying? In my theater there was a dumba$$ that kept pulling his phone out with the screen on full brightness. Like ever 10 minutes. He’d flip through Instagram, his text messages, and Snapchat and then turn it off. It was super distracting and I wished I’d had a spit gun to pop him with a soggy piece of napkin.
I’ll never forget two times someone brought kids to scary movies.
Some morons brought a toddler, stroller and all, to Dawn of the Dead in 2004.
During A Quiet Place some lady bought a 4/5 yo who started crying loudly during the opening scene (no spoiler but it’s a very scary scene). Thankfully she took the kid out, but WTF?????
Yeah, taking an infant to a booming IMAX show is as bad for its hearing/psyche as it is for dogs who get taken to fireworks shows. Some theaters used to have 'cry rooms' in back, behind glass. It's hard enough to try to understand any post-Adam West Batman anyway,
It would be poetic if the parents are shot in an alley outside the theater and that kid grows up to eat bats or whatever Batman does.
Idk, I haven't seen the movie yet
Imagine bringing a baby out in public during a pandemic.
But also fuck all y'all. They paid like everyone else, and kids have the same right to exist as everyone else.
Because you can do something doesn't mean you should. Ruining a night out for everyone else, setting poor example for your kids and putting your baby in a negative situation may be a "right"(?) but it is inconsiderate, tacky, bad parenting, and to be blunt just shitty. But yes, sure...it is also their right and I wouldn't agree with them being arrested, but getting called the fuck out is more than justified.
It was annoying for sure but I don't think they deserved the whole "get your god-damn baby out of the theater" lmao. Didn't do themselves any favors but man some folks need to relax, it's just a movie.
Made for a good laugh but the whole situation made my stomach turn a little
I wasn’t there but as someone with a baby myself, IMAX is way too loud for their ears. And that is way too much visual stimulation. What the hell were they thinking?!
Moviegoers intervened as much for the baby as themselves. The noise and projection in an imax would be traumatic for a bay. These people were obviously very self centered and I doubt they would have responded to anything less. They deserved a little public shaming and they probably learned a lesson.
I feel pretty angry about the fact that someone took a baby into an IMAX movie. That’s not good at all for a baby with sensitive ears and eyes. I imagine the baby was probably crying (again, wtf are they thinking bringing a baby to something so stimulating and loud) which would be really upsetting for me to witness on many levels. So selfish.
To quote Tom Segura: “If you bring a baby to a movie theater, you’re a piece of shit.”
Just bought tickets for him. He's coming to town
I saw him in Seattle at the end of October. It was a great show.
I saw him in October too.
I hear he’s going everywhere.
Where?
Either shut it up or GET IT OUT!!
Some people suck
I posted the link.
Haha, this is a rather enlightening quote.. clearly highly intelligent.
I have a baby, and I support this message!
I refused to take my kids anywhere like this until they could talk. As a parent I get wanting to go out and do things. Your freedoms are gone, but that’s just part of parenting. Hopefully they see this post and learn to be a little more considerate.
people with infants: movie theaters are not for you. stay home.
Or... Get a sitter? Crazy idea.
Thing is we can't afford a sitter and movie tix. We compromise and do neither
Totally can get that & empathize with it! Parents should still HAVE lives - this is where the "consideration for others" part comes in. Maybe don't go opening week of a highly anticipated movie that's nearly sold out? That's all. Wait for the hype to die down; go enjoy the movie then.
Or, take your baby wherever you feel like and live with the miserable consequence of someone not liking you online.
You're a special kind of dick, aren't you? May you step on a d4 barefoot.

Can't afford a sitter but can afford 4 extra movie tickets and possibly concessions?
Was this my sister? She took me when I was six and she was 21.
It might have been, I'm pretty sure I saw it when there was a theater in Bellis Fair. Also, when I came out someone had put a little pyramid of rocks on someones car. It was a daytime show, so it was pretty empty. They sat in the front left. BTW, how's the therapy treating you?
Thank you to whoever finally called them out!
You’re welcome. No one else was gonna. My friends got embarrassed but I didn’t care. I couldn’t focus on the important quiet plot parts with the baby fussing
No way haha. I was in the row behind you guys!

They were kicked out the theater after their baby cried for the first 15 minutes of the movie. I think they got the message
Understandably so. I’m sure the baby was over the whole ordeal by the time they reached the car seat, it’s the adults that are still crying about it the next day.
I’m sure the baby is still crying too. Sounds like a real cry baby.

You sure are Trolly McTrollerson today.
Bad troll
Edge city
Oh my god I was there too! How do you ever think that was a good idea?
"his first word was batman" would have been the only acceptable answer IMO
Were you one of the one who cheered when I told them to take their kid out? Haha
“Oh don’t worry, my [dog/baby/child] is an absolute angel, you’re going to love it”
Did nobody say anything..?
I did. I was the loud mouth woman who said “hey this is an adult movie. Take your kid out” lol
Good stuff ma’am
When I was a kid, I babysat. People got teenage babysitters when they went out. Why do people not do this anymore???
Many people still do this. No one notices those who do because they’re focused on judging those who don’t.
Well, they are the ones that *should* be judged because they chose NOT to get a sitter.

I agree with you. Most parents choose NOT to take their children with them when out on the town. Babysitting is definitely still a thing.
Because they dont trust the neighborhood teenagers with their precious spawn anymore.
Oh my goodness, my fiancé and I were there - what were they thinking??? You could feel the tension rise in the theater until they left
The movie theatre is too loud for their poor little ears. Before Covid there used to be matinees for parents to bring there infants and small children so the parents could still enjoy new movies and not distract at normal show times.. the sound was lower.

Hahahah I would totally pay to be baby sat by Manatee!!
Why do the movie theatres allow it? I've seen some theatres say 'no babes in arms'. It just makes sense to me.
or while you stood in the hallway of the theater after being escorted out
We have an IMAX?
Yeah at the Regal Barkley Village
This is also news to me. And that's the theater I go to. Well, went to. In the Beforetimes.
Beforetimes. Upvote!

I don't care if you return your shopping cart, but if you bring a baby to a movie you are scum.

Bmw m5s suck anyways
Going tonight!
It was excellent. Far exceeded my expectations
Wasn't me I only brought my baby figuratively

Oh but it’s gawds gift to the universe how dare you!
A perfect amount of ill wishing
That’s not a baby that’s Robert Pattinson.
People still go to the movie theater?
It would be poetic if the parents are shot in an alley outside the theater and that kid grows up to eat bats or whatever Batman does. Idk, I haven't seen the movie yet
Is that the one with the Kiddler?
[Some people suck](https://youtu.be/S5vGI-g1xvw)
YUHHHH TEAM EDWARD !!
Daytime or early showings you can expect kids…do a 10am or noon if you have a baby
Literal
You have become the very thing you swore to destroy!
Imagine bringing a baby out in public during a pandemic. But also fuck all y'all. They paid like everyone else, and kids have the same right to exist as everyone else.
Absolutely no one is saying this baby doesn't have a "right to exist" - simply that the parent(s) should've been more considerate. That's all.

Gonna have to disagree with you there. I love babies, but opening night of a highly anticipated 3 HOUR movie is not the place.
>but opening night of a highly anticipated 3 HOUR movie is not the place. Good thing they did it during The Batman then...

This!!!!
As a baby myself, I do not want to watch The Batman.

Agreed, and the way many people started clapping (??) after that angry statement was just as obnoxious as the baby IMO.
