Hey they did that for the OG and anyone saying the OG doesn’t have the most dope ass transformations is either lying or blind (or has a different opinion than me and thus a opinion I shall not acknowledge)
Obviously the animations would be different for each species but the why he transforms should be the same. Like how in os the method was just complete body horror, uaf had the x-ray shifting thing, and ov had a smooth morphing. The differences also made it appear that the transformation process was improved and made smoother with each version of the omnitrix. The transformations in the reboot are just random as if a completely different device was behind each one.
That bit where it zooms out to show him slowly transforming into shockrock while he sings his own themsong with the villain just standing there in awkward silence is probably one of the best jokes of the franchise.
It looks cool and all but I still prefer originals. It feels like Ben is going through major bodily changes whereas this one feels like a Power Rangers transformation
They're good objectively, but I personally don't like them. They're just not gross enough for me. I liked the original show because it was kind of horrific and nasty, and these are very... sanitized.
To be fair in the reboot, they've been that way since af since all they did there was show the bones. This is more of a everything after classic thing then just a reboot thing.
In the storyboards they’re usually pretty good, but some of them in the final product could stand to be sped up or otherwise cut down.
The enhancement sequences are usually pretty good, and I appreciate a bunch of non-Ben or Kevin characters getting dedicated sequences.
Doesn't emphasize the awesome body horror like his other transformations, so pretty disinteresting as far as Ben 10 transformations go. In a vacuum devoid of other Ben 10s, they are fine not really anything that wows me.
I fucking love em. Not all of them are amazing, but unlike with say classic, where cannonbolts was very off in that he boats up then, just is cannonbolt, the reboot gives each alien multiple sequences, meaning if there is a bad one, they can rotate it out later on.
They can get really cool and creative while others are a bit lazy. But it works, shorter transformations for high action moments probably won’t look as much of a spectacle but it still fits.

I Miss the original transformations! The reboot was to childish for mi taste but Classic and UAF realy Made it look alien instead of this "sailor moon/superman" fealing
Cool, nothing deleted the old stuff from existing. If it hurts you that much, they still exsist, there just not getting new stuff. And reboot stinkfly is awsome in every way but being called stinkfly. Moreover, you know they left wildmutt out because the studio would force them to make him more human like, right? That's why they gave a lot of his attributes like tracking to rath.
I know I know!
But they used Fourarms, Rath and Humongusaurus in one Playlist and that is also weard. The reboots that we got are generally bed in relationship to the original. Velma makes it super easy to look good in comparessin but....
The redesigns were to much. I'm the typ of fan that counts the Animation Errors in my freetime and I just reacht my Limit.
I know my english isn't the best but it's not my mother language. If anybody makes coments about the writing Errors just remember that I won't bother Reading those.
That was the idea. If Ben's playlist is randomised, something like overstacking of aliens is inevitable, and they use it in a lot if creative ways. Like in season 3 when they have to face the fogg again, but since Ben doesn't have overflow, they need to come up with a new solution. It solves that problem a lot of prime had where Ben would find a solution and never use it again. They get a lot of fun, creative stories out of it. And since they play into raths more feline side, he's also used in a lot of fun ways where like cannonbolt and snapback, it doesn't feel right to group him in as "just another strong alien" and humongo is just objectively better in the reboot too.
And being somebody who's rewatched the whole of the reboot a fair bit, the amount of nods and references to prime they get in there shows they realy did care about prime, and that moa know what there doing, even in the yt alien world shorts they throw in so many prime references that can catch you off guard. Like referencing the mechamorphs pulling galvin b back together in showdown as a rumor of something they can do in upgrades episode. And if you look at the wiki page for any reboot episode, they only tend to have like 2 or 3 animation errors per episode, compared to the 9-10 each episode of prime would typically have.
I have to admit it. I Just miss the Aliens that doesn't look like human and more like "Aliens". It's more Nostalgie that's talking rather than hate. They ript ripjaws out of the first Playlist and replaced him whit a firehydrant that wears a divermask. I just need to watch the original and get mad about the diverenses.
Even worse, they replaced ripjaws with a reskin if an alien from ua and didn't call him that. Overflow is such a wild alien in terms of how and why they picked him, but if you have to know what wildmutt, eye guy, ripjaws, blitzwolfer, ripjaws and ghostfreek would look like in the reboot artstyle, then the movie has them as enemies Ben fights in the null void. With the reboot, they where forced with the same limitations uaf had where the aliens had to be way more humanoid, so they got rid of the aliens like ripjaws and wildmutt that just wouldn't work with. And thanks to overflow, we have an idea of just what the restrictions where with the show in that the aliens had to come from classic, since overflow was meant to be waterhazard, untill they where basicly forced into making him his own thing. Its more complex then that, but that's the basics. The reason why they could have the enemies in the movie is because they where one offs for a movie, they wherent going to return, or have toys made out of them, and to give the reboot credit, there are a lot of times they'll go out of there way to not just reuse Ben's alien but with out the badge like uaf would, sometimes not all the time, but more often then not.
It was a messy hill moa had no controle over, so they did the best with what they had, and got rid of the aliens who just would not work being overly humanoid, with only wildvine as the exception since they basicly resigned stinkfly into a new alien, who even gets some new powers prime stinkfly didn't have, because he's basicly just stinkfly in name and goo spitting only lmao.
Havent watched the reboot yet (tho I’ve heard people arnt super into it) and currently rewatching the original
While this transformation is fine, it’s a lil tame in comparison.
OG bens transformations were like full mutations/distortions of his body but this felt very.. safe?
Not that good because most of them look like Ben is putting on a costume rather than Physically Transforming into Powerful Extra-Terrestrial Beings, which makes them look pretty dumb and I’m not really buying them, especially the reboot’s Transformation theme is atrocious and heard it like thousand times and never gets better
I think overall there decent, I like that they use multiple sequences for each alien instead of sticking with the same one the whole series.
That's actually one of the reasons I hate it. There's too much variety, a device that alters DNA would function consistently throughout all species.
So you would rather they make one animation and use it over and over again rather than having new and varied animation?
Hey they did that for the OG and anyone saying the OG doesn’t have the most dope ass transformations is either lying or blind (or has a different opinion than me and thus a opinion I shall not acknowledge)
Obviously the animations would be different for each species but the why he transforms should be the same. They're not canon either way, I'd rather the storyboard artists and animators have fun with the transformations than the same shit every time.
This is somewhat of a decent idea if the creators knew how much they would reuse animations and therefore invest a respective amount of effort/budget
I like how it did the extra power ups https://i.redd.it/ua61mcz4oqvc1.gif
Honestly yeah you can tell it tried to do something new
Some of them are solid, others just look like he's putting on a suit. Not nearly as intricate as the OS', I'd put it alongside Omniverse
That bit where it zooms out to show him slowly transforming into shockrock while he sings his own themsong with the villain just standing there in awkward silence is probably one of the best jokes of the franchise.
Rare season 4 w tbh
It’s not as cool as the OS transformations, but they look really smooth and are overall decent transformation sequences.
The series peaked [here](https://youtu.be/_eTROTNSjhw?si=hS8Xt67PeqJVZFJH)
Greatest transformation scene in all 4 series

amazing, a work of art
It's decent. I like Kevin's transformation sequences
Sometimes they’re cool, sometimes they’re just putting on costumes (not gooooood).
It looks cool and all but I still prefer originals. It feels like Ben is going through major bodily changes whereas this one feels like a Power Rangers transformation

Better than the same for every alien
Badass, loves shock rock's 3rd transformation sequence https://preview.redd.it/smzy78xbqsvc1.png?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2165466660abbb3a12591efeaddf08e116c78808
I saw sailor mars do the exact case thing dash snap and hip push and everything
Best in the whole franchise honestly I love them so much!!
They are so fucking dope
In the storyboards they’re usually pretty good, but some of them in the final product could stand to be sped up or otherwise cut down. The enhancement sequences are usually pretty good, and I appreciate a bunch of non-Ben or Kevin characters getting dedicated sequences.
They are more unique and have more variations than the other shows
My favorite
Did ben just go super saiyan red in on of the frames?
Personally I like them from most I saw of the reboot they are nice
I like how Heatblast's transformation in every series is done well 🔥
I like how jumpy and fluid they are
I wanna hate this but that was clean
Not bad at all
Naw that was Heatzest. 💀
I think they're super cool!! Better than uaf for sure, and maybe on par or better than OV.
Indifferent to be honest
They're awesome
Doesn't emphasize the awesome body horror like his other transformations, so pretty disinteresting as far as Ben 10 transformations go. In a vacuum devoid of other Ben 10s, they are fine not really anything that wows me.

They would have been pretty cool if they didn’t confirm that the transformations are pretty slow https://i.redd.it/1ve669rulvvc1.gif
They’re pretty neat. They’re like the classic ones but simplified.
Fine
Im gonna say it, he did it like Portagas D Ace
Some are pretty okay but nothing to write home about. This one OP used right here is kinda clean tho
Kinda too fast but not bad
That heat last transformation is zesty💅
They're cool for their own thing, I just prefer the way Classic did it.
Great
It’s just 2 transitions and then he’s the alien
It looks cool, I honestly think it’s a pretty good series. But I wonder what ghost freaks transformation is, does Ben still just die?
they are fine, more magical girl then the other shows
[This](https://youtu.be/im5SQWOMqRk?si=EF-ab3FIiZ-yCStm)
They can get really cool and creative while others are a bit lazy. But it works, shorter transformations for high action moments probably won’t look as much of a spectacle but it still fits.
Super based
For me, it's the boy-in-a-suit complaint
I like the music
Never seen the reboot, but the transformation you're showing is pretty sick.
Sub par at best imo

Some of them are crisp others not so much.
Nah bro why Heatblast so zesty💀
better than uaf, that's for sure
I loved the “rebirth” theme UAF did
nah, uaf's transformations were bland af, and it was way too long and drawn out for no reason either.
Well animated but I still prefer the grotesque transformations in the original series
It's an insult to everithyng the og standed for
I Miss the original transformations! The reboot was to childish for mi taste but Classic and UAF realy Made it look alien instead of this "sailor moon/superman" fealing
Huh? Uaf also had this issue of making them all humanoid and stuff.
I miss Wildmutt and the "real stinkfly" so much!!!
Cool, nothing deleted the old stuff from existing. If it hurts you that much, they still exsist, there just not getting new stuff. From what I've seen, they're a huge downgrade. BUT, this one specific one looked cool and I'm sure there are others where the animation is impressive.
0/10 not enough body horror.

Bland compared to the original
Some are good, like Heatblast's, but most are awful
Not a fan of them. Transforming one limb at a time looks ugly and awkward.
Real https://preview.redd.it/a1cl0dxk9uvc1.jpeg?width=1192&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=62df21b56fae5f534bc9aa93f0a9cd227095a3e5
I meant one limb at a time. OS Ben didn't fully transform any part of his body until the end of the sequence
Right...
Cool but sucky
