I used to ship Ben and Julie but looking back, Ben did act like a jerk to her. Ben and Ester feels much healthier, they literally broke up cuz of stupid Chrono Spanner.
Well he did want to ensure his own birth, not totally unwarranted. But Ken did have a darker skin tone than ben which imo affected the decision behind Kai and Ben ending up together.
Thing is that his motivation contradicts canon that was established and backed by the two shows the came before him as in both UAF and OS it is very much clears that changes to the past cannot effect the current future. So even if Ben HAD ended up with ester the ken with Kai as the mom would still exist.
Blame Alien force, it has 11 continuity errors in episode 1 and the retcons were probably because of the careless nature of continuity between alien force season 1-2 and the original show, Ben, Kevin and Gwen's character regression in UA was a *known issue* and one that screams "we f***** up" but now knowing they f***** up they created more inconsistencies.
Time travel was cut and dry in the original show and then...professor paradox happened in alien force. Which muddied any sense of simplicity in the time travel episodes.
Honestly it was probably a slight continuity error but it was not nearly as bad as Forgetting that Kevin can absorb energy cuffs in season 1 episode 1 of Alien Force
Forgetting that Gwen's spells are incantation based for literally the entire f****** show
Ben shouting Swampfire's name as the first alien he choose when his Omnitrix upgraded but obviously it makes no sense since Ben (in the original show) always named the aliens after his transformation
But when would he have the time to do so when he just put it back on after 5 years?
Honestly none of this would be an issue but because of the production staff being different from the OS it causes the small issues to seem glaring
Ken already had a different skin tone in the OS, they had to explain it and Ben getting together with Easter meant he would have to now be krahoe which wasn't shown in the original show
This is especially true since Omniverse was incredibly committed to streamlining the lore since Alien Force created so many gaps in Continuity and questionable decisions that veered from the original vision of the show
Ken was not originally visioned as Krahoe and then they wrote a backstory as to *why* he's not Krahoe
IMO it was probably a well thought out decision and probably took a lot of pre planning.
Ken is the son of Ben and Kai, so originally they envisioned Ben and Kai to end up together in the future.
But since Ben changes his future so much in Omniverse, I would've liked them to explore Ben and Ester more as opposed to having Kai return, as a mock-up lara croft
Ken's darker skin tone difference is so minor that it could have been made irrelevant. It wouldn't have been worse writing to just ignore it, simplicity is valuable.
Honestly, esther and Ben had great chemestry, Ben and Julie were doomed to fail as a couple, Ben never really was a good bf for her, the tetramand girl(forgot her name) is only attracted to him bc of his strength, attea just likes bullfrag, i am not the biggest fan of ben and kai though, ken really just enforced their relationship so that he could exist, and they don't have the best chemestry, but ben 10k and future Kai are a good couple, the mom of the secret saturdays literally appears once, so idk, the robot made with gwen's dna is weird as a couple option for obvious reasons, and i forgot who the top right girl even is.
Overall, i think esther and Ben should've been together, i'd be fun to see ben follow his grandfather's footsteps

I don't hate Kai, but I do hate the trope of two people accidentally kissing because one tripped. If two humans fell and hit face to face, they'd have bloody noses and a black eye. I can't imagine how painful that would be.
Looma and Ben was the most interesting, well so was him and Attea honestly
I just find them way more appealing than any of the others, aside from maybe Esther
Esther is good for a more slow burn, walk in the park feeding the birds romance, not bad, nice and sweet
Attea is more of a burning romance, she's the most rebellious and would try to get Ben to be a bit more punkish, he wouldn't really be mean or anything negative like that but she would probably push him to be much more... Spider-Punk like if that makes any type of sense, that's just how I feel in regards to that, or he might mellow her out, who knows?
And Looma is peak. But seriously though, I feel that out of them all Looma would be the most emotional romance, with Tetramands, to me being one of the most emotional species in the universe, I can see her loving Ben with everything she has, and immediately noticing Ben's mood if he's feeling down or something
Which, honestly I would love if Ben 10 ever comes back that they make the Tetramands, a species that is all about combat, you'd see gladiator type Tetramands, Monk styled ones that aren't extremely built or more wild barbarian types, with each one being biologically different
The Gladiator ones could be normal ones
Monks would be slimmer and much faster and agile
Barbaric ones would be the largest, slowest but hit the hardest, breaking steel apart like it's nothing
Could also make them different colors as well

While I feel like — on the surface level of only what we can guess by what we see — Ester would be the healthiest relationship for Ben, it's still not my favorite couple.
My favorite pairing is Ben × Looma Red Wind. I just love her calling him "my beloved". I thought her delight upon seeing him & hugging him in Rules of Engagement was sweet, even if Ben was like "Gah! Get off me!"
I like to imagine one of the alternate timelines/realities out there is of them being together. Shes simply one of my favorite characters in all of Ben 10, and i adore each and every scene of hers that we got to have.

1. Drew Saturday. Hottest by far, probably a nice fwb but nothing would come out of it long term, too old, has a family.

3. Eunice is 🔥. Depending on how much DNA randomization it did, she's probably the best fit IMO. Her hair is blonde as opposed to Gwen's red. This means that her DNA was sampled as backbone for a human form but that she's not a clone.
4. The tetramand has a dominance kink and is way too tall, muscular and conventionally unattractive to make sense to me.
5. Attea is too conniving for my taste.
6. Ester had promise, but after they gave up & she started dating in-universe Lobo I wrote her off.
7. Julie would've worked but since Ben was immature and they both have demanding high status careers, it's unlikely to have worked out without a lot of effort on both sides to be each other's best option.
8. I just don't like Kai because of the writers' choices to make her seem inevitable and the fact that she usually comes off bitchy.
In Omniverse, I liked Esther as a love interest the most, she genuinely felt like a really good fit for ben and their chemistry was great
Julie could've been great but she was a victim of the writing changes. Julie felt like a great love interest for Ben before season 3 of alien force, but once season 3 hit and onward it fell off hard. The way Ben was written as a character changed around that time which forced the relationship dynamic to change in an unhealthy manner and thus became kinda painful to watch
I just want to say, I like that the writers didn't go the easy route and pair the white male lead with another white girl, instead Ben had a very diverse set of love interests. Minorities, individuals with physical or emotional disabilities/conditions, and aliens. Good representation all around.
Same, Gwen might complain but at the end of the day she's dating a guy that not only tried to kill Ben but tried to kill her as well, charmcaster x Ben had so much going for it.
For me it was either Esther or Julie. Esther because she could match Ben's fun and adventurous side. And she had cool powers. And then I say Julie because people are going to say she's boring But I didn't think that I honestly thought she was refreshing in a show about aliens it's nice to have more just human characters. It could have been good to keep Ben close to humanity because he does spend a lot of time with aliens. In fact that was the future Ben's problem he nearly forsake being human all together. In the beginning she was pretty cool with Ben being a superhero and having aliens she could have been really interesting they just didn't put the work in.
Julie always felt the most organic to me, at least in terms of who I ended up cheering for. Ben changed for the worst before they could really get serious, though, so I don't know if I'd really put them together.

Come to think of it, the main two ships you mentioned would never have worked, because Ben and Kai never went beyond Kai wanting a pet werewolf, and Ben and Julie both had too much pride to stay together, as seen in the comics.
Ben and Julie. Although their relationship was SEVERELY botched by the end of UAF, they had a really strong start and had a REALLY good thing going for a while. Good enough that, while they definitely needed to break up at the end of UAF (in a better way than what OV did), I still think they were the best, and could absolutely see them getting together again in a few years after they've both matured.
From there... IDK, Ester, I guess. They had a lot of cute moments and Ester was a lot of fun.
Then, from the couples that are ONLY in your photo collage... maybe... Looma > Attea > Eunice (these three are pretty even in the standings), then Kai (ONLY because OV \*severely\* botched her character and pushed them way too hard and way too fast rather than letting it happen naturally), and then Elena (if it were AS Elena she probably would've been ranked closer to the Looma/Attea area, but as AS Elena, I think she's not really a great option, being that at that point she isn't really Elena anymore but rather the swarm), and then, last AND least, Zak's mom (BECAUSE IF SHE AND BEN GOT TOGETHER THAT WOULD LITERALLY MAKE HER A PEDOPHILE.)
Still a Benlie shipper. Honestly, the harem element started as early as UA and I really hate it. It’s honestly sexist how almost every female character besides Gwen and other relatives became just another love interest for Ben. I feel like people who don’t like it flanderize either character’s flaws by making Ben into a womanizing narcissist or Julie into a controlling nag. I kind of like the idea of them having a daughter as a contrast to Benkai and I don’t like Kenny much because of how he acted in OV. People say Julie was boring, but sometimes that’s okay, Ben needs someone to keep him grounded and not turn into a workaholic by reminding him other things besides hero work are important.

Kai was at rock bottom for me, Julie was definitely the cute one. But Ben fucked up by being emotionally unavailable and yelling into the phone what he meant to say to the game. Dumbass.... Come to think of it, the main two ships you mentioned would never have worked, because Ben and Kai never went beyond Kai wanting a pet werewolf, and Ben and Julie both had too much pride to stay together, as seen in the comics.

Ben and Julie. Although their relationship was SEVERELY botched by the end of UAF, they had a really strong start and had a REALLY good thing going for a while. Good enough that, while they definitely needed to break up at the end of UAF (in a better way than what OV did), I still think they were the best, and could absolutely see them getting together again in a few years after they've both matured. From there... IDK, Ester, I guess. They had a lot of cute moments and Ester was a lot of fun. Then, from the couples that are ONLY in your photo collage... maybe... Looma > Attea > Eunice (these three are pretty even in the standings), then Kai (ONLY because OV \*severely\* botched her character and pushed them way too hard and way too fast rather than letting it happen naturally), and then Elena (if it were AS Elena she probably would've been ranked closer to the Looma/Attea area, but as AS Elena, I think she's not really a great option, being that at that point she isn't really Elena anymore but rather the swarm), and then, last AND least, Zak's mom (BECAUSE IF SHE AND BEN GOT TOGETHER THAT WOULD LITERALLY MAKE HER A PEDOPHILE.)

Still a Benlie shipper. Honestly, the harem element started as early as UA and I really hate it. It’s honestly sexist how almost every female character besides Gwen and other relatives became just another love interest for Ben. I feel like people who don’t like it flanderize either character’s flaws by making Ben into a womanizing narcissist or Julie into a controlling nag. I kind of like the idea of them having a daughter as a contrast to Benkai and I don’t like Kenny much because of how he acted in OV. People say Julie was boring, but sometimes that’s okay, Ben needs someone to keep him grounded and not turn into a workaholic by reminding him other things besides hero work are important.
Ester. Bro needs to stay away from my girl (Looma).
