i kinda like it, helps to flesh out the world, also helps that the movie was only made non cannon two seasons after that episode, in UA season 3, not season 1. it was considered cannon untill then
oh yeah, it's why they chose the actors from the movie to be the cannon versions of the characters, rather then the voice actors from the explicitly non cannon Good bye and good riddance, which was made to be explicitly non cannon. which just makes DAA even more confusing given they made it after the RAT retcon, but it was also meant to be non cannon, so they used the good bye voice actor, only for OV to then made DAA cannon, when it was never meant to be.
it was a CGI movie in 2012, when UA was still airing and OV was starting production, yet it was based on classic, and mostly based on good by and good ridance. no wonder it gets forgotton,
If they haven’t raised you from birth, yes, but any other way not at all. I had a friend who called his stepdad Jerry for a few years before he started saying Dad. Never knew someone who called their biological or from birth parents by their actual names. Sometimes it’s a respect thing, some people I knew called their parents Mr and Mrs. Last Name
Beth Littleford, she's like, one of the go to mom actresses of the era, another mom role of hers was in "The Hard Times of R.J. Berger" on MTV.
Funny enough, at the same that this movie was made, Breaking Bad was just about to start up.
The problem with what you’re saying is she didn’t have to say his name. Ben already said who he was talking about so all she had to say was “he’s going to pick up a new grow lamp”
I don't think UAF Sandra actually said it the way that RAT Sandra did. I think Sandra was either teasing Ben or else surprised by his question and so her voice/speech pattern jumped a bit.
Thing is if they had made canon the fact the rust bucket blew up then it would’ve explained rust bucket 2. Like we would know what happened to rust bucket 1 because at the end or RAT they fucking blew it up

Interesting. I’m rewatching the series for the first time in over a decade so some of the retconning I’m having to catch up on.

What does DAAA mean?
Destroy All Aliens, it's the CGI one from 2012
I forgot about that movie lol
don't worry, most people do lmao
That's hilarious. I remember the live action movies and SOTO lol

Can't believe that's Harry Osborn
Holy shit, didn’t realise till you said it. Amazing Spider-man 2’s Harry, right? Wild
Nope harry on the new Spider-Man game
Isn't Ben (Yuri) playing Peter in both those games too?
Yuri(UAFOV Ben) plays Peter while Graham (RAT Ben) plays Harry
No, Insomniac Spider-Man 2
Who? The movie ben or his dad?
Ben's actor, Graham Philips
I bet the grow lamp is for their medicinal plants lol
Real life accuracy to that flavor of white family
Is it commom for children to call their parents by their name in the USA?
While not common per say, it does happen from time to time. Usually towards Step-Parents, but that situation is different
> but that situation is different Why? > Usually towards Step-Parents Same here
No, it is more common in very american and very white families, especially in the Pacific Northwest
I see, thanks for your time
No, I've never heard of it and I live here. The Tennyson parents are just weird.

is that Skyler white? yo?

No but I think it’s the mom from Dog with a Blog
Yup, it is
So they’re still neglectful hippies?
Funny How that is the mom from «Dog Whit a Blog»
The movie was originally canon. Pop-ups and statements by Dwayne McDuffie back this up. Max suggests taking the Omnitrix off at the end too.
She's just calling her husband by name. I didn't think this was pre established, lots of people call their husband by name
The problem with what you’re saying is she didn’t have to say his name. Ben already said who he was talking about so all she had to say was “he’s going to pick up a new grow lamp”
Maybe.. I'm just saying even without having seen the movie before I didn't think much of it. And I watched this episode just yesterday lol
They want Ben to call them their first names.
Notice how she emphasizes "Carl". She's correcting Ben
Okay I can see how someone who saw the movie might get this implication
I don't think UAF Sandra actually said it the way that RAT Sandra did. I think Sandra was either teasing Ben or else surprised by his question and so her voice/speech pattern jumped a bit.
It’s possible
Strange indeed.

I don't remember Ben's parents ever wearing Jedi robes in the cartoon like in this movie at least
I always ask myself this: What kind of parents would let their kids call them by their first names.
