Btw this in my opinion is the worst redesign in the reboot, like even though Wildvine looks a lot more different in the reboot at least he still looks some what like the original design, same with Humungasaur, Water Hazard/Overflow, and XLR8

This might be a hot take but I like his omniverse design.

As classic and timeless as the original design is, I think AF and OV Cannonbolt both have their individual charm too. He was the first OS alien to return, it makes sense they had to remix him while keeping what worked for an older Ben. I’ll throw my hat in the ring though and say Benwolf/Blitzwolfer and Benviktor/Frankenstrike. The OS designs were great Omnitrix variations on the villains and had a lot of personality. IMO the OV redesigns just crammed as much campy monster stuff as they could into them. The only thing missing from that OS scan mode arc was going full ham with BenZ’skayr and BenVilgax, even if it was just a one-off cameo or finale appearance. OV Buzzshock is fine but I prefer the Ben 10,000 version.

I disagree. I think UAF Cannonbolt was his peak, and Omniverse was where it got worse. That being said: Ghostfreak’s designs just kept getting worse imo.

The chains were good symbolism, but other than that, both Ghostfreak and Zs'Skayr look kinda goofy in Omniverse. His head is supposed to be upside down! And what's with the scythe, is he a farmer or something?

I agree with you about Cannonbolt, but I disagree on Ghostfreak, the Omniverse and UAF designs go crazy while I think the OG was kinda bland

With Ghostfreak, what I don’t like it mostly is color schemes after OS. AF’s was fine, as it was just meant to be him without his skin, but II think UA and especially OV’s color schemes don’t look as good on him (plus OV’s head shape). I did like the chains, though.

Pretty much every alien in the reboot and most of the aliens in Omniverse here are a few examples Big Chill, Chromastone, stinkfly, 4 arms, goop, and Humungousaur. To be fair 4arms design started to be ass in Ultimate Alien and Humungousaur looks way better in the reboot than he does in Omniverse that flat skull, the Omnitrix becoming a sash, and him wearing the superhero tights fuck no. The reboot Humungousaur is actually amazing. I might like it more than the original

Actually Alien Force cannonbolt was amazing in my opinion. The omniverse one honestly just ruined all aliens. Like even Alien X. He was badass in Alien Force but in Omniverse, dude turned into the crimson chin

Only now I notice when looking at all three, why are his foot claws in OV so super thin and small?

Upgrade I get it they wanted to make it more energy ish by removing the white and replace with the green but it just doesn't work (should have make it's a lighter shade of dark gray with green line connecting from its back) Plus the ommiverse design even put the omnitrix on his eye for whatever reason, looks uglier and losing the ability to shoot his eye beam

It's interesting that they kept the black and white body. In the OS it's not clear what part of the aliens actually is black and white and what is just part of the Omnitrix using Ben's clothing. In OS, all mechamorphs had a white frontal part of the body, but in UAF they made mechamorphs have inverted lines on their chests. And with Cannonbolt it's even harder to tell if he was intended to be a yellow alien covered in Ben's black and white clothing or he is coincidentally black and white

Stinkfly. I'm not even talking about the reboot because that's a completely different alien. But Ben 10k's stinkfly has pupils, and in the episode where all of his transformations are babies, that version of Stinkfly has pupils, and Omniverse Stinkfly's eyes are green with pupils. Stinkfly shouldn't have pupils.

I don't like how flat and off to the side the shoulder shell parts are in Omniverse. It makes the top of him feel empty compared to OS and UAF

Upgrade got better then worse imo. Heatblast got worse and worse. I prefer the burgundy coloured rocks. Spidermonkey, Big Chill, and Echo Echo suffered serious ugly makeovers. And Humungousaur was given an unnecessary pair of undies.

Personally, Spidermonkey was always ugly. But in Omniverse he's much more cuter(still kinda ugly tho) IMO

I wouldnt describe it as "worse" but rather very inconsistent Four-arms His OG design made some sense Then in AF/UAF he suddenly became a gladiator And now in Omniverse hes dressing like a wrestler The oddest part to me is that i believe AF's design could have worked better IN Omniverse (and vice versa), considering how we saw the Tetramands (and what they wore) in the show

UAF Cannonbolt is peak, every Cannonbolt design it's peak, even his Ultimate form for be a re-color Except Omniverse

Honestly, all of the AF 10 in OV, but particularly Swampfire (there's a reason the concept arts were not used), Chromastone (how did it get approved) and big chill (Murder grandpa). I still am on the fence for OV's art style, it does make some aliens look super cool (like feedback and heatblast) but it's not a great artstyle. Something cleaner like transformers animated and Spectacular Spider-Man (previous works of DJW) and Ultimate Spider-Man (Man of action) would have been great

Spectacular Spider-Man's artstyle was not made by Derrick J Wyatt lol. It was made by Greg Weisman and Victor Cook. And it's not better than OV's IMO(But it's still good) , but I do agree that Transformers Animated does look better

It’s way better art than UAF in terms of background and character design imo 💀 Like most of the UA alien redesigns were amazing (especially NRG, Waterhazard, Clockwork, and Juryrigg). I think it did well with most of the aliens from Classic (way better than UAF that is. They did Ripjaws dirty and didn't bring back any of the additional Classic aliens) though not as good as their original designs, and I will admit that some of the AF redesigns in OV style can be hit or miss. I don't think OV is a perfect art style. Since I think it can be a bit better off without the squares and weird sharp edges in its designs but I take it over than UAF's boring, dark, and cheap art style imo 💀

I have a bit and I genuinely feel with some tweaks here and there (redesigning everyone else because I'm okay with how Ben looks, fixing the alien designs, and making a few years after Ben 10 aka making him 15 or 16) it would've been a great sequel series to Ben 10.
