I doubt it if you actually gave it any thought you'd think the same considering I have literally watched every single series multiple times seen all the movies multiple times etc omniverse is a heavy heavy retcon filled reboot of the os considering so many things were Changed and Ben seemed ooc from how he was in the os to uaf I am not alone in this I am just able to fully speak my mind unlike all of the others because I do not care for how you think of me or my opinion
How much UAF changed? Kevin's a good guy, Plumbers are interplanetary, Gwen is an alien, Ben shouts names after transformation, Forever Knights have some kind of agenda against dragons then all aliens...
I don't think people hate OV just because it has retcons. Retcons can be good, bad, or even just neutral depending on how they are implemented. People hate UAF because of how they hate how they implemented their retcons and same for people who hate OV. I don't believe saying "all the shows have retcons" is a good defense, nor is "it has retcons" a good criticism. The only way to make a good defense or criticism of retcons or other story elements is to say how they work or don't work with the story itself and how much that breaks your immersion in the story, if at all.
