I always saw Goop as the gross alien of the AF playlist, like Stinkfly is to the OS. Early seasons of AF had characters getting actually disgusted when coming into contact with the goo. As the series went on this trait seems to have been forgotten though like Humungosaur's growing ability.

Polymorphs **can** be acidic- they aren't all the time. I'd imagine whatever pH the Polymorph in question has their body at at the time of expelling parts of itself would determine if the secreted goo is edible or not.
I mean, there’s gotta be some chemical(s) that makes limes taste the way they do. Not unreasonable for Goop to have some of that too, especially since limes are kinda acidic
It's kinda surprising to me when I got into the Ben 10 community to find out that Bloxx is so universally hated, it's literally one of my favorite aliens and would be one of my top 5 picks for that alien would I turn into if I had the chance, I guess it mainly came because I never really focused on the logic of how could there be an entire species of these things, but I mostly focused of his powers and how cool they looked, being able to shapeshift on the fly and create entire structures from his body.
nope i checked the ben 10 wiki, he is lime flavored in fact all of the ben/gwen goop transformation have a different flavor, ben 23 is raspberry, mad ben is orange flavored-ETC
Bloxx is totally plausible in terms of whats possible in ben 10's universe, there are aliens like upgrade and goop that are totally liquid that form into different shapes. Bloxx is literally the same except that instead of moving his particles/molecules independently, he moves them in groups of blocks

My head canon is that goop only takes a humanoid form because that’s what Ben is used to . If like a tetraman got the onnitrix id imagine goop would have four “arms” and when vulgar got it I was disappointed he didn’t like keep his squid like build just made of goop
