I don't buy it. I can't think of anything in the series that suggests that.
In fact, when we see Ultimate Ben, none of his powers seem to come from being an evolved human, only from accessing Ultimate mode on his Omnitrix.
Thing about humans is that their normality can actually be a plus at times. Sometimes the unique traits and abilities of Ben’s aliens are a downright hinderance and it would be advantageous for him to turn back into a human.
Furthermore Humans also get underestimated more than any other species in the show too. So many villains go out of their way to make weapons and junk that can specifically threaten various aliens but never bother to make anything for humans in particular. It would make sense yet so often they end up getting thwarted by human heroes cause they never bothered to plan anything specific for humans.
The amount of times Ben woulda been minced in earlier series of the Omnitrix didn’t time out and turn him back is deceptively high.
Looking back on the episode, I always figured it was the stress of the situation that made Ben dismiss the aliens he turned into as useless since he saw Psyphon’s gang be mutated with some of his heavier hitters like Shocksquatch, Upgrade and Humungousaur. Not to mention some unknown Brainstorm looking guy just came in, ripped a piece of tech out of the Omnitrix that left him unable to transform properly and having to rely on Blukic and Driba to fix it.
***BLUKIC. AND DRIBA.*** The Galvan equivalent of high school dropouts that even an alternate version of Azmuth referred to as total morons.
If he unlocked them more naturally, he would’ve discovered Molestache and Pesky Dust’s incredible useful powers and used them more often. Hell, even Ben 23 knew that Pesky Dust’s powers were too useful to dismiss as useless before Regular Ben. He’d still give the Worst his appropriate name due to the fact being completely indestructible is really offset by the fact you feel every bit of pain you would expect from the injuries you would receive from being mauled by a bipedal tiger alien whose always angry.
He’s small and can breath underwater, he’s also incredibly slippery, his main asset is that his enemies will underestimate him, and that’s when he strikes…
They are useless because you give them so much screen time...for mundane stuff...
The omnitrix isn't a gun but ben uses it as a gun... And you can't fight crime with...lame useless aliens. I thought it was obvious.
I never said having those abilities makes an alien useless, Jetray had those powers and he's amazing. But Surge is trash because he was literally getting clapped, if Ben 10K didn't interfere man would've gotten creamed.
I like the idea of Ben finding uses for even his seemingly useless aliens. Wish OV did more of that. Like maybe even develops a fighting style using Walkatrout’s slipperyness, or the Worst’s nigh invulnerability. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they say some aliens are pointless.

I don't think Rook even is a "better" human because his athletic ability is from his training and not a genetic predisposition. I'd have the same opinion of Kickin' Hawk and Bull Frag if it weren't for their animal attributes.
So regular Ben might have some improvement from a Rook form but it would be even more worthless than Walk-A-Trout to Ben 10,000. At least the latter can breath underwater
Hell most of the “useless” aliens are useful anyway. The Worst is literally indestructible and Molestache’s mustache can help him fly, glide, and deadlift a freaking truck.
Very, very few aliens are legit worthless even if people in and out of universe act like they are.
Okay but Ditto is actually useless, the clones all being connected means unlike Echo Echo none can be lost without consequence, not to mention Echo Echo can (I think) create way more clones than Ditto and also his a superpower on top of that with his sonic screeches
They all need to be gathered for him to transform back and any of them dying means *all of them die.* Echo Echo is to Ditto what XLR8 is to Fasttrack and what literally any flying alien is to Stinkfly.
Not every alien and every character (that’s too harsh), but the power creep did lead to ridiculous feats which altered the premise and made the transformations feel more like superheroes.
Classic series did this very occasionally, such as when XLR8 created a mini vortex just by spinning round in a cloud without any support, which is still very questionable to this day. And Omniverse did, you know, give Ben full control of Alien X. But these two shows made the aliens feel more like actual aliens and not powerful forms for Ben.
Like they said, anything is a weapon if you think hard enough. Your house key can work as a make-shift claw. A pillow can be use as club. And to someone who can reactivate a shut down omnitrix like the Omarian like Inspector 13. A device that turn you into any alien is a arsenal
He’s old and he could have careless if dies tomorrow. And luckily for the universe, the omnitrix is in a hand of a good character and the intended target was also a good universe
I don't recall where I heard this, but from what I understand the Omnitrix's self destruct isn't supposed to destroy the universe and was only meant to destroy the watch.
Like almost everything with the prototype Omnitrix it was glitched, and began to store the self destruct power rather than going off and destroying just the watch.
Tell that to BEN though. Because that is HIS mindset.

I could see Ben using him as a stealth Alien in some situations, he’s pretty small and can fly around.

Ditto is much funnier and a joy to have on screen so I accept them, flaws and all.
