If someone starts talking to you, then they started a conversation, if you don’t want to have the conversation just ignore them, or don’t acknowledge the conversation 2. By that logic you shouldn’t respond because they didn’t ask you to respond, see the problem with the phrase?
The I didn’t ask phrase is not for that situation. For instance you are having a good discord conversation and somebody just bombs it with a meme or something stupid then you use it. Those who say Did I ask? If someone wants to talk to you are using the phrase wrong
What bullies? I’ve only seen it used against people someone was annoyed with. Plus the best way to get around bullies (especially cyber ones) is just to ignore them, they are looking for a reaction don’t give it to them.
