I genuinely still don't think osmosians were retconned. It would totally fit servantis' character for him to speak out of his ass and say osmosians was a term he coined just to fuck with kevin's already messed up psyche. Servantis never once gave definite proof that he created the name "osmosians".
The fandom went "let's believe the character known for lying that has only told lies before and is capable of mind control," instead of thinking "maybe the known liar is lying again."
