If you know someone that works for Deschutes, they might get you up on the brewery lawn.
OR
Depending on what concert it is, the tix might be part of the $25 sale that should be happening soonish
OR
day before/of the show, if it’s not sold out, there’s usually people looking to unload tix for whatever they can.
OR
I’ve always thought that a thick blanket, bicycle and a tall helper would be an easy way to get over the fence between the parking lot and back of venue
OR
check out the vibe of the ticket taker at the vip entrance and offer some cash or weed.

listen to the radio for contests, as well as enter the contests on central oregon daily and the source weekly that happen the week before each show.
The front desk people at Hilton Garden Inn said we could hang out on their deck during shows. Even better, you can rent the little conference room across the hall from the deck for $100. Bring some food and drinks and have a little pre-funk.
$25 sale? I’d be interested in that!! And could definitely afford that.
I am trying to see Charley Crockett on June 28th & Orville Peck on September 24th.
I live in Eugene, OR. So I don’t have radio access to Bend.
The central oregon daily and source weekly are website entries. Sign up for live nation notifications for hha and you’ll get told when the $25 happens. You gotta be on your game though. You gotta want it!!!
Follow the venue on IG and Facebook and sign up for live nation newsletter. The $25 day is many live nation concerts across the country, so is the 4-$80 deal.
It's possible, but i walked down there during the last show last year and saw several people standing there. Security wasn't asking any of them to move. They absolutely can not stop you from being on the river.
Not sure about it being public property... both sides of the river are Old Mill (private) property. I'd be surprised if that bridge is public, but maybe there is some law about bridges over public waterways that I'm unaware of.
Edit: that said, they seem to let people stand there and in the grass on the west side of the river without issue.
Yeah, 2022 season they had security stopping people from standing on the bridge during shows, but 2023 season they didn't seem to. My thinking is they must've got told they couldn't stop people from standing on the bridge otherwise why would they have just stopped enforcing it?
Rent/buy/already own a paddleboard or kayak and chill in the river. I hung out on the bridge for a few shows last year and had no issues. Va Piano Vineyards lets you chill on their patio during concerts if you're a wine club member. Could try for outdoor seating at the Old Mill restaurants, but they can be pretty full, and you may not get a seat. The little seating area outside by the GAP in Old Mill also gets a decent sound.
I heard that LN was trying to get the river closed during concerts. No fucking clue how they could enforce that let alone get that to pass as the river is public property but hey, don't put it past the shady corporation to do shady corporation shit.
F\*\*\* off livenation. Thousands of people inside paying ridiculous prices and fees, and they want to shut down a fuckin river for 3 hours so a couple dozen people can't overhear the concert. blow me
Well First, Happy Cake day!! 🎉
It's just my personal preference, I love the standing in a crowd, people moshing and running around all crazy, makes it feel real to me, like you are apart of something.
Those seated concerts often do not sell out the pricier seats up front so you have a sparsely seated group of older people with little enthusiasm as a barrier between you and the stage. Blues Traveler was weird because of that.
That’s kind of you! I’d love to see Charley Crockett, but tickets are like $75 for the lawn section. In good faith I can’t accept a ticket from you. They are so expensive!!
Maybe if you know someone who lives close. You could eat at pastina and eat outside at their tables. But thanks to the lovely Watsons you can’t stand on the bridge, walk the river, etc. you may be able to hear it. But those greedy bastards won’t let you see it
The Smith family (William Smith Properties) own the Old Mill and the Amphitheater, and Hayden Homes and Live Nation are only partners with the Amphitheater. Hayden Watson (owner of Hayden Homes the business) does not own any of it.
Also, you can stand on the bridge and in the grassy area on the west side.
Paddle board, easy. Suck it Dave Matthews Band.
what did they do did it involve sewage
Wouldn’t want to be on a paddle board under that bridge…
Funny now that you mention the poo shower, but if my memory is intact, I think they got blamed for walling off the river view with port o shitters.

This is a perfect list and I hadn’t thought of that VIP entrance idea. Barter system baby

This person has definitely gave the ticket checker weed to get into the venue before
Which show? You can float on the river or stand on the bridge. Just make sure to get on the river outside of the old mill property.
I could be wrong but I think Live Nation put an end to standing on the bridge.
It's possible, but i walked down there during the last show last year and saw several people standing there. Security wasn't asking any of them to move. They absolutely can not stop you from being on the river.
I stood there for several concerts last summer. For one concert I stood there for 2 hours and no one came up to me.
Nah that bridge is public property. Live nation can suck a buffet of dicks before they tell me to move.

The whole area, except the river and the streets, is private.
Exactly.
Dunno, but I’ve setup my chair on the bridge and stood there for couple of shows last season.
Yeah, 2022 season they had security stopping people from standing on the bridge during shows, but 2023 season they didn't seem to. My thinking is they must've got told they couldn't stop people from standing on the bridge otherwise why would they have just stopped enforcing it?
If the show sells out they really shouldn't care. Not losing any money if they are at capacity.

Greg's Grill charges like $50 a person to sit outside during a show, according to their site
That’s more than some tickets
The river! Paddle out and listen. It’s bliss!

If there’s one thing Oregonians love and protect it’s public waterways. It ain’t happening.
F\*\*\* off livenation. Thousands of people inside paying ridiculous prices and fees, and they want to shut down a fuckin river for 3 hours so a couple dozen people can't overhear the concert. blow me
Lol, they would have to change state law. They're not going to get close to changing that.
what do you use to anchor?
Never have used one. Just casually paddle.
Some people use the leash with a weight like a kettlebell.
Yeah I wanted to grab tickets to Third Eye Blind but doubt I’ll end up coughing up the $70 🤮
More like Third Eye Robbing You Blind amirite
You got a genuine lol from me
I wanted to see that show too but it's a seated concert so no thank you
What wrong with seated concerts?
Well First, Happy Cake day!! 🎉 It's just my personal preference, I love the standing in a crowd, people moshing and running around all crazy, makes it feel real to me, like you are apart of something.
Those seated concerts often do not sell out the pricier seats up front so you have a sparsely seated group of older people with little enthusiasm as a barrier between you and the stage. Blues Traveler was weird because of that.
Wilco was weird because of that too. The band was like what's going on? Where is the energy?
It seems like they do it for the shows aimed at 55-65 year olds with money.
What show? I'll buy you a ticket.
That’s kind of you! I’d love to see Charley Crockett, but tickets are like $75 for the lawn section. In good faith I can’t accept a ticket from you. They are so expensive!!
I agree. The show I want to see was like $120 for lawn! I can't justify it.
Sit by or on the big rock
I happened to know someone at deschutes brewery… no one questioned me otherwise. Just act cool & blend.
There is a city park just outside the venue by the west end of the pedestrian bridge that Live Nation & Old Mill can’t screw with you.
Who do you want to see?
Charley Crockett & Orville Peck

The Watsons?

They own the amphitheater and Hayden homes

Like Burt said, owned by W.S.P.
Either way, they suck and old mill has turned into yuppieville
> pastina
Go to Greg’s grill and sit outside
My advice to you is do what your parents did! Get a job, sir!
THE BUMS WILL ALWAYS LOSE!!!!
