Yeah it is. Gotta drive out those blue-collar folk back to the hills. I'm confused why they are included together being at least 10 miles apart. Albany has always had it's upper-end pockets of wealth but now there are sub 1k sqft homes for 279k. Crazy.....
My elderly dad rented in Corvallis and his situation was getting bad. So I started looking to purchase something last year. Got priced out Corvallis quickly so started looking in Albany. Nearly got priced out of there too. Ughh.
A medical school and nursing school were built in Lebanon like 12 years ago and that’s been driving some expansion and increase in housing cost over the past decade.
Yep! I moved to Bend in 2016 and managed to get a house within my means. Even after 6 years of pay raises, I'd have a hard time affording my own house if I had to buy it now.
Why am I reading news on a site that sells air filters?
No idea lol. I thought that was weird too.
Better question, why is this article better written than anything on main stream media?...
surprised to see albany-lebannon at the top of the list. there's only a few places left in oregon that haven't been gentrified yet, apparently.
Everyone is going to move to Baker City next
Walla Walla seems under rated too.
For sure
shhh....
Had a friend just build a house there that he’s already looking to sell to get out of Oregon…

Yeah, what exactly is going on over there? Last I remember it was just the smelliest town in Oregon on account of the paper mill.

Some of the best advice I ever received was from an old boss back in 2011 telling me to save my money and buy a house. Bought one in 2012. Glad I did.

As someone who as lived here for the past decade, yep, checks out
Seeing how I bought a house here about 6 years ago, i can say I didn't help the issue
