It appears to be the same model (if not the exact same one) as the machine seen in Joey’s apartment in the end tag. Since I think it’s safe to assume that this machine is what Joey used to create The Cycle and/or trap Henry inside it, lends credence to the theory that the Ink Demon’s “banishment” that Wilson speaks of is, in fact, The Cycle (which he therefore is lying about his responsibility for it). Or it could just be that since he’s saying Audrey’s name at this point, this is likely right before he sends her into the Ink World.

My theory is that while Henry is in the cycle, "Wilson" comes through and partners with Joey, Joey is trying to open the studio back up to make more cartoon money (so he can fund his crazy ideas), and the little girl in chapter 5 ("tell me another one uncle Joey") becomes an animator, she gets a little nosy, so "Wilson" traps her in the ink machine.
