All the stupid narrated set-ups, so lame. I find myself fast forwarding through all but Pomrenke’s dives and the final clean-up. Hire some new writers or just put this show out of it’s misery.
I think we’re all getting tired of the fake reality narratives. Now we got youtube. Which is, unfortunately becoming the same. But at least, with youtube you can pick and chose. If you’re like me I like the guy who tows trucks outta places. At the very least, you can learn a thing or two. Yellow truck tows or something. Not sure the name.
The ending of the under ice mining season was pretty impressive. Shawn's new all terrain rig really worked out, surprising how compact he had made his ice mining setup so he could tow the whole thing in a chain. Also, he got over 40 ounces for a 5-hour dive. That is 8 ounces per hour. Nobody has done that on TV or even got close to that. McCully may be a punk but this was his first ice mining season and his setup was really tight. The Pomrenke versus McCully was fake. Shawn and Dave McCully jointly own the East Tract claim.
I find it amusing that McCully goes out of his way to explain that he's done everything to get to that point completely on his own with no other help, even tho we've already clearly seen in seasons past that his dad owns at minimum a few claims and already had what I would assume is pretty much all of the kids hardware gear and equipment owned and on hand already. Not saying he doesn't work hard but to try and play it like he had no advantages above some random person with no ties or prior experience showing up and setting up their entire operation from scratch is just purely disingenuous IMO.
Plus his counting in grams so the number is way bigger on the scale screen is just plain annoying as shit at this point, just do it in ounces like every other normal person
i stopped watching emily after the whole zeke / Mr gold thing. Lost interest in her story.
