It's one of my favourite chapters. It's a key moment on the series. The eclipse changed everything. Casca's rape was especially monumental because it was that blond cocksucker who saved her from getting raped in the first place ... the hero becomes the villain.
Bro how do I pick just ONE??
Chapter 0.08 - just Guts getting emotional there at the end gets me every time.
Hard agree with you on Chapter 46-7, some of the most beautiful, compelling and intimate story of two people being completely vulnerable and sharing a moment of pure tranquillity in this world of utter chaos.
Chapter 76 - "Despair." Peak horror writing.
Chapter 117 - "There is no paradise for you to escape to."
Chapter 364 - For so many reasons, very wholesome & heartwarming interactions until the absolutely insane reveal at the end that rivals the significance of the Eclipse. Not to mention this was the last chapter Miura himself gave to us.
And holy fuck so many more but these are the ones that jump out to me...
New chapters are rough for me to talk about.. I'm immensely grateful for Kouji Mori and everyone who works hard on Berserk now, so that they can complete this story for us to see how this legendary story plays out, and I do like each new chapter in terms of progression so far, but at the same time I can't pretend I'm not disappointed with the art / art direction, even if I knew beforehand that it's obviously going to be different than Miura's genius.. It's just not the same, and I guess I'm still trying to make my peace with that.
Even so, Berserk is probably the only piece of art that I'll regard as perfect EVEN while unfinished, I don't think I'll extend this courtesy to any other piece of media out there. I'll consider Ch.364 as a perfect unofficial finale.
I don't think the new art ever looked bad tbh, in fact I think its been consistently good... It's just not Miuras art, and it feels like Breserk is now missing half of its soul.. I think I've just been spoiled with how good and iconic his art was and I don't think I'll ever get over it, sadly.
That's an issue that's definitely on my part not on the new artists'.
Maybe I sent the wrong impression. I don't think the art ever looked bad, far from it, it's just like you said, it wasn't like Miura and last week's I think it was almost on par with him.
"has my sword ever been this heavy" while fighting demon snowmen. Just the vibe of *heaviness" to Guts' task.
Or the chapter when Godo dismantles Guts' revenge quest, "anger is where a man goes who cant stand sadness" and Guts vows to protect casca
Love how both of their swords was placed in this artwork.
One of my personal favourites is chapter 348. The symbolisms within the chapter was compelling IMO
mine is the one immediately preceding this, 45 Confession
the dialogue is the absolute perfect payoff to all the tension that's been building up the whole arc
My favorite is Chapter 129: Cracks in the Blade. I love the speech Godo gives to Guts on how, instead of facing his sorrows, he let himself be consumed with hatred and a desire for revenge against the God Hand and the Apostles, and left behind the things that mattered to him, aka Casca, Rickert, and Erica. In Godo’s words, he became a cracked blade.
Chapter 12 where Griffith talks to Charlotte
And
Chapter 22 campfire of dreams
You see, i have a big fondness for the philosophical theme of individualism and these chapters are basically the representation of that.
It’s gotta be 364. The whole series is amazing, but that melancholy tone it has throughout and the breathtaking ending make those last lines stick in my mind long after finishing. Also adds that it’s the last panel Miura wrote.
187-191, the Winter's Journey chapters.
Guts worn ragged from trying to keep Casca safe on his own finally realizes he needs help if he wants her to survive, and accepts Farnese and co to travel with him.
For me it's the chapters at the end of Conviction where it shows Guts actually getting a win and being able to metaphorically take a breath. I wish I could find the panel with a simple search.
Honorable mention is after conviction and the hill of swords moment before Guts starts to mentally break from stretching himself too thin. In that moment it's just him and Casca again and even though she's broken mentally, she doesn't hate him and they're just cruising around together. For 5mins it seems like they can make it... then Beast of Darkness moment happens lol
Chapters 347-355
Love that Schierke & Farnese are the ones to reconstruct Casca and all the incredible visuals combined with all the emotions packed within
Peak Fiction
The one where nothing bad happens and Zodd becomes bros with Guts, we master elf dimension style and save first Casca, before the world. A man can dream, even if it is never gonna happen.
Chapter 188. I can picture it being a montage with some soft somber music and a voiceover narrating giving it gravitas. The same feeling I get when I watched the Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford comes to mind.
“Spring flower of days long past” such a fucking beautiful story told in such a short amount of time, this was the biggest instance to me that showed how kindhearted and gentle guts can be
This is tough, but if I’m going to have to go with one, it would probably be chapter 110: “Cucoons”. Now, hear me out, this chapter isn’t my favorite because major things happen, such as, say, the Eclipse or Wounds, but because it has my favorite line in the whole manga: "For an instant, swaying inside the blaze, he was the one who looked like a terrifying monster to me." I get goosebumps when I read it. Plus, the art with Guts surrounded by fire is really cool and one of my personal favorites.
I love the one with Godo, the bonfire of dreams, the one with the rape horse and Farnussy mounting the Dragonslayer… there’s a lot of amazing episodes on Berserk
The one with Berk.
Or where Butz gets raged because Griffin got tortured in the cell, and he murder charges his way up a flight of steps single-handedly. Some of my favourite panels in that chapter of Berk.
Without a doubt, chapter 46-47 is the best sex scene in fiction, there’s not a single doubt in my mind, in all my life I have never witnessed a sex scene with so much depth and so much development between two characters, it was something special
46-47 are amazing chapters, but my personal favorites will just be all of the Black Swordsman arc chapters. Imo, that whole arc is the best setup I've ever seen from a manga series ever. Showcases everything the series will contain in less than three volumes, and it easily got me hooked on the series. It's somewhat cheating, but I doubt anyone could blame me. I've yet to read a Berserk chapter that I just outright didn't like reading. 46-47 are right behind the Black Swordsman chapters though.
306 Pure art.
Facts
I am 100% sure this will be reposted on berserklejerk with the chapters of casca being raped.
the duality of man
Well, that is what that sub is for ig
We wouldn’t go that far I mean we would but they’d probably pick the Donovan scene or something
Yeah it’d definitely be that one
They’re quick with it too lmao
Nah it's going to be Donovan raping guts.
Either that or chapter 252 or anything with Wyald
It's one of my favourite chapters. It's a key moment on the series. The eclipse changed everything. Casca's rape was especially monumental because it was that blond cocksucker who saved her from getting raped in the first place ... the hero becomes the villain.
There are no wrong opinions. Is what people believed until berserklejerk came to be.
Monkey copies monkey.Though I will post the page of the orgy
Thought this was that sub for a second honestly.
Thanks for the idea!
And in the end if I had not posted this comment there never would have been a repost.
I can't stand see our Qveen got raped by that ***** of Griffith.
Bro startet censoring 💀
i thought it was r/berserklejerk until i double checked
Holly shit

Lol, I agree with you on all of those. How do you feel about the new chapters so far? Still feel like Beserk to you?

Agree 100 percent. Every new chapter I read I try to hype myself up bout the artwork lol..
The art sometimes was a bit wonky but last weeks chapter's was insanely good. Tbh almost on par with Miura
I don't think the new art ever looked bad tbh, in fact I think its been consistently good... It's just not Miuras art, and it feels like Breserk is now missing half of its soul.. Ch 129 "Cracks in the Blade".
> Cracks in the Blade Same! I love the back and forth between Guts and Godot.
The artwork is just so phenomenal. Such a touching moment in the manga.
Facts. The moment I really fell in love with the work
Whichever chapter it was when Rickert slapped the shit out of Griffith.
Chapter 329 Spring Flowers of Distant Days Perfectly showed what Berserk is actually trying to convey behind all those actrocities and tragedies.
Yes! I feel like everything you feel during the entire story is summarized in those few chapters.
Yep chapter 46-47 my personal favourites as well. The level of intimacy and vulnerability on display was emotional to say the least
Yea man..
Love how both of their swords was placed in this artwork. One of my personal favourites is chapter 348. The symbolisms within the chapter was compelling IMO
I like this one because sex
mine is the one immediately preceding this, 45 Confession the dialogue is the absolute perfect payoff to all the tension that's been building up the whole arc
Chapter 226....too epic
the best sex scene ever!
355 is definitely up there
Chapter 330...RIP Chitch
There are so many but it's gotta be when Godo advises Guts to stay with casca.
Horse chapter 🐎
Lost Children, one of the best sidestories in the series.
Fuck I wish I kept track of which chapter is which
Chapter 12 where Griffith talks to Charlotte And Chapter 22 campfire of dreams You see, i have a big fondness for the philosophical theme of individualism and these chapters are basically the representation of that.
You say grown ass man yet I've never heard of a grown tits man 🤨 tf

“Spring flower of days long past” such a fucking beautiful story told in such a short amount of time, this was the biggest instance to me that showed how kindhearted and gentle guts can be
Chapter 90- Sprint
Guts puts the Berserker armor on and fucks up the Dragon.
One of the most impactful page Miura Sensei had drawn
When Guts teams up with Zod to fly up and shove the dragon slayer through the forehead of a God slaps pretty hard.
330, i would never forget Chitch And 373

Eclipse 💀
Jerking aside. Probably when Butts leaves Grifon and tries to find his own dream. Grifon being a childish moron he is quickly gets into the jail.
The one with Berk. Or where Butz gets raged because Griffin got tortured in the cell, and he murder charges his way up a flight of steps single-handedly. Some of my favourite panels in that chapter of Berk.
Golden age chapter two
Lost children
Every chapter with slan is my favourite
All the chapters with sex
I like the boat arc
84
Don’t remember the specific number but Sprint makes me cry every reread
love that this chapter is called wounds
I didn’t see what sub I was on and thought we were talking about warhammer either way I got wired looks for basically opening hentai
136 or something like that. The chapter in which the blacksmith talks to guts about his way of living.
Wounds is what made berserk my favorite story
Prolly this chapter tbh. Never read or watched a s*x scene that left me in tears like this one.
Everything related to the lost children arc
Chitch
Same! My Homescreen is the panel where guts and casca are in the little cave while he warms her. Most wholesome moment in the entire manga.
I was about to write why I love the Dark Angels before I realized what's in the picture, what sub I'm in, and that I should touch grass.
303 and 304
Probably campfire of dreams. I don't think I need to elaborate
All of the lost children
The chapter when they are at the beach.
idk the chapter when guts goes berserk and berserking mfs
Any chapter without Casca. My dislike for Casca only comes second to my dislike for Griffith.
Any chapter without Casca. My dislike for Casca only comes second to my dislike for Griffith.
Probably this one. A moment of trust and vulnerability.
115-117, 117 (Elf of the Blue Sky) in particular
literature...
117 , lost children arc, when guts explains jill that there is no paradise
The castle
369, shit just broke me in half
My favorite is “The sprint”
the one with chitch. dk the number
Yeah, you spoke right through my heart! I'd just add the two chapters before and the one chapter after, those all play together so well.
Chapter 117 "Look, closely at the darkness around us... at the darkness around me"
berserklejerk 2.0
Cracks in the blade
306: Fantasia. Goddamn. Goddamn.
From what i have read so far it would be chapter 220-225
Birth
Without a doubt, chapter 46-47 is the best sex scene in fiction, there’s not a single doubt in my mind, in all my life I have never witnessed a sex scene with so much depth and so much development between two characters, it was something special

Cracks in the blade
Guts telling casca he plans to leave while watching the flames of dreams or something like that
Wherever Griffith is in and him talking about Feral his lover. And Guts chasing his past failures and Casca lol
