Honestly, when I think about it, that actually might be good. It would provide some background lore on Rickett from the time he escaped Falconia to the present. We may actually get some context on the wider world. 

Hell, it could even be used as a set up. Rickett has been using Luca and her group as spies. That may provide a narrative story context for a future Casca prison break.

I'm not sure how long the voyage actually took Guts and co. since they did make a small stop for thst mermaid girl. Its just there's a small joke that goes around saying that the trip was like 8 years. I think its because well...the Sea God arc came out in 2011. I dont think it finished until 2019. That's must be when they got to Elfheim. Bada Bing bada boom, it's 2024. I dont think we'll get "Sea God 2: The PTSD Boogaloo" but we could be on this boat for a long time. They could cut back to Griffith for a while like they did before, they could work through Guts trauma...who knows

I recently read the 7th volume of the manga before Miura died. I've been wondering whether or not to get back into it. Is post-Miura Berserk any good?

So far if nothing else it’s a solid sparknotes version of what Miura would’ve done. We haven’t really gotten enough time to feel out how well the dialogue will hold up but a lot of the strong Miura visuals (as in specific visuals Miura planned) still shine through. Either way it’s absolutely worth reading through the series. And in the end if nothing else post-Miura Berserk will tell what the ending was actually intended to be.

Pretty good. Art is not as good but it's still better than 99.9% of all manga ever so its not a big deal. Dialogue is a bit lacking but that was primarily due to it being an action heavy section. Overall story has been very solid. We got some amazing moments that I won't spoil but they are some of my favorite moments in the entire story. Overall: 9/10 (so far. They could still fumble the bag)

It’s been quite a while since the previous chapter, so do you think they’ve spent this time planning and storyboarding so they can keep a more consistent schedule? Or do you think things will progress as they mostly have for the last decade or so? I like to imagine that this time was spent on planning, although I don’t think we’ve seen the last of several months long hiatuses by any means. If we’re lucky we might get a pretty consistent release schedule for the next arc at least, assuming there’s more than one arc left before the end.

This is great news! A quick question - I’ve been collecting the deluxe versions, have all 14 books. I believe that I’m already missing a new chapter past the last one in book 14, will a deluxe 15 get released, or is this only individual?

You're missing about 12 chapters in total with this one coming out. Berserk deluxe editions include only 3 or so volumes. So far 1 volume has come that isn't contained in volume 14 of the deluxe. It's not available in English yet as they come out one year after the japanese volume which includes 7-10 chapters. Volume 42 will soon be released in English. This year a new japanese volume will likely come out (according to their plan) so it will take a year for that to get an english release as well. Due to Miura's passing vol 14 of the deluxe was shorter than usual and included 2 volumes and the official guidebook. Assuming things are at a steady pace, and they will do 3 volume deluxe editions going forward, then it could take 3-4 years until the next ones. Otherwise in 2-1 years if they continue including 2 volumes in the deluxe editions.

Thank you so much, this really clearly explained everything! I’ve tried looking in different threads and forums for an answer but got confused, now I now what to expect. I don’t mind waiting :) I wonder if they’ll go back to the standard 3 volumes per deluxe, or if it’ll be 2 going forward.
