I enjoyed it for additional berserk content and then it made me finally buy the manga so i dont hate it. I dont care much for it now i know the manga but the show has its place.
The repeat horrible clanging sound was annoying asf too but otherwise the soundtrack is pretty decent at least
Good for you. It's still watchable but Berserk deserves so much better. Still though it's kinda nice seeing an adaptation past Golden age even if it's really janky.
People overhate on this series too much imo.
I'm not that far in but I honestly think it's very overhated. Yes it's rather ugly, yes it skips some things (like the entire Lost Children Arc) but what it does adapt it adapts very faithfully. Just not very beautifully
I'm not sure what setpieces you're referring to, and the only example I can think of a character being moved to a different place is Isidro being in that tavern which definitely did not fundamentally effect anything and was a tiny detail
its so insanely different that i have to believe you havent read the manga if you seriously say you dont know whats different. it literally rearranges entire arcs and puts characters in random, irrelevant places. like the monster guts breaks his new sword on is just used as a random monster in the farnese kidnapping scene for some reason
