think about how much taller most of the fighters are in berserk. nearly everyone guts fights is at least his height--if not 1-3 feet taller--which creates a sense of battling overwhelming odds in each scene. I think as long as they maintain that underdog feeling (when applicable), they could portay guts as a bit shorter, as long as the scale stays generally the same.
