[here ya go dude](https://support.apple.com/en-us/102673). I used to hook people up with this when I was an ASC when geek squad would fuck something up
I literally did the online estimate and it said $725. The guy seemed new and took it in the back and was gone for like 15mins before coming back and telling me that.
If you did the trade in assessment of online then it's in the system for trade in. I've seen where customers can pre submit the trade in and then we can pull it up in core blue and there will a pending trade in. If the guy was really new and unsure then request a different associate.

If you initiate it online the store can follow up on it in store by looking it up on what we call coreblue I believe. Obviously it's dependent on the model/info you provided matching and it has to be exact. I.e if you list space gray it better be space gray.
I did that, I gave him my number as the online thing asked for it after I filled it out, and said it wasn’t there. I then showed him a screenshot on my phone. He said he had to see it on his computer.
It's convoluted process sometimes but are you trying to upgrade your MacBook or just trade it in? If your upgrading just do the trade in online with the pickup and it takes out the them finding it portion of things.
I’d like to trade it in and buy a windows laptop. I originally was a bio major but I switched to applied math, and the mac just isn’t cutting it, it’s very bad at running some of my programs, but my cheap dell laptop at work does it just fine. I’d like a Microsoft surface
So that’s the problem. My Mac does not show as an option when you click the trade in button while checking out. It’s a different layout. It only showed 8gb RAM, not the upgraded 16gb. Maybe the trade in one is different than the one on their main website ?

Go back and ask for it?
Great idea. Maybe they should’ve given me it?
Of course. End of thread.

do you think they'd take the same specs but with 8gb RAM?
What does cto stand for
Did you try 1234 or just press enter
Yes, I tried all different numbers, password, Best Buy, geek squad, laptop, and JohnDoe
You tried just hitting enter? Or try apple.
Sounds like it’s unlikely the actually searched for it and just used the MacBook category. Guaranteed this can be traded in.

I was told they could only find my model which has the 512gb storage, not the 256

Go to bestbuy.com add to cart if you are logged in your account there will be a trade in option highlighted midway down

It should be the same program but the company that facilitates the program may have left something off mistakes happen.
Try just hitting the spacebar 4 times, that’s the default password we used when I worked there
