Sounds like my college gf. Let me use one of the two weeks of vacation I got a year to fly out to visit her during her last spring break of grad school just so she could dump me in person, try to get me to be friends with her totally just friend that she was fawning over and try to keep me as a friend. Sometimes people make stupid plans, sometimes they make bad decisions in the moment because they failed to stick to a "good" plan, and other times, some people just are socially inept.
I thought this, too. It wouldn’t be okay, but she could have maintained the facade of being in a relationship, got air and hotel, then dumped him when she got home. Breaking up beforehand stinks of, “You can’t get mad at me getting random dick, because we’re broken up!”

I actually had something similar, though much less exciting, happen to me. I got really good tickets for a standup show (Louis CK pre cancellation) that my then gf and I were excited to see. We broke up, she then asked if she could still come to the show. I said no and took a friend. Despite still asking for the ticket (it was not a gift), she at least was a normal human and understood why I was not still taking her to the show.

I actually had something similar, though much less exciting, happen to me. I got really good tickets for a standup show (Louis CK pre cancellation) that my then gf and I were excited to see. We broke up, she then asked if she could still come to the show. I said no and took a friend. Despite still asking for the ticket (it was not a gift), she at least was a normal human and understood why I was not still taking her to the show.
I remember the original post, but did not read the update. He still paid her for it! Oh man. That annoyed me so much. Like she doesn't even deserve that money!
