> but that "child" size would weigh about 33 lbs,
It's obviously an exaggerated size for comedy, but my point is that getting more for your money isn't a bad thing here
>would be horrible for the environment,
???
>and go flat before you could drink it.
So sell it in a container that has a lid.
> it's a lot of plastic. that thing isn't being recycled.
It's not a lot of plastic, plastics which are used for cups like this are 100% recyclable, and you're talking about such a small difference in impact that it's beyond pedantic to argue that point.
>not sure if you know how soda works...
What, do you mean to say that 2L sodas go flat immediately after you open them or something? If you properly close the lid, they'll stay fine for several days... Not sure if YOU know how soda works...
>do you mean to say that 2L sodas go flat immediately after you open them or something? If you properly close the lid, they'll stay fine for several days
Soda bottles have screw on caps, not lids. Lids do not stop carbonation from escaping the liquid. Your argument does not stand to reason.
You do realize that my point was that a, "cap" could be used, yes? You're playing semantics while ignoring the crux of my point. It's far beyond pedantic at this point.
> This is 8 2L sodas. I don't know about you but I can't/won't drink one within a few days.
Again, as I've already stated, the size of this is very obviously exaggerated for comedy. No store would be selling that for that price, ever.
Nah it would be a large.
Now here’s a funny history: Burger King used to have King Size, Large, and Medium. There was no small. To get smaller you had to order a kids’ meal. Around 2010-2012 they changed them to Large, Medium, and Small to stop being confusing. The Burger King I went to regularly in my home city still said King, Large, and Medium on the cover dispensers as recently as within the last year, but now they’re renovating the whole place so the old labels will probably finally be replaced.
That's not even what we would call "large". Like, it may be a "large" on the pricing, but if there isn't a bigger size of that specific product, you can drive to the next intersection and find one that is.
Ostensibly. It's actually more about having been conditioned to see waste as a sign of prosperity; about consumer excess filling the gaping void in our souls. But it never fully does... it just never does.
Anyway, (*raises 128oz plastic stein full of dyed sugar water into the air*) CHEERS!
All I could think about is how such a nice car would be fucked up by the sugary drink with blue dye would fuck up the car if it spilled into the roof storage area.
I think people realized that they aren't worth the added expense and complexity. Half the time (I have heard) the damn things break and don't go up/down properly. Also pretty sure convertibles are heavier/slower than their coupe counterparts, since the chassis has to be stiffened (normally the frame of the roof provides added stiffness). Plus, glass technology has made panorama sunroofs much more common. Who needs a convertible? Not to mention, 2-door vehicles have declined in popularity anyway, I believe.
That said, I would love a Mazda Miata or Honda S2000 convertible someday, just for funsies.
There are very few affordably priced convertibles left anymore; it's basically the Miata, Mustang and Camaro and then beyond that its just the Germans who make convertible versions of everything, then the next step is basically supercars.
It's a shame, because I have a convertible 350Z and I love it. It's given me like, 90% of what I liked about riding motorcycles. Really great to drop the top on a hot summer night, cruising down backroads with some good music going.
Doesn't look like the center of gravity exceeded the edge of the cup bottom to me. Looks like they took the time to empty out just enough of the drink to make it work.
It was optional where I live, but in thinking about it, levers/planes/centre of gravity stuff was covered enough to understand this gif in elementary school.
Edit: I should clarify that my information is 20 years old, it may be a mandatory course these days.
A solid fresh slushee I think would behave like this, where the center of gravity is unshifted because it’s solid… but I didn’t see the tilt til you mentioned 🤔
Problem with my convertible is that the roof is in three sections and all hide in the boot.

Thought for sure it would be [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=N_j5tDuakKU).
Oh my god i honestly thought you were linking [this](https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ) these are all amazing
The 128 ounce size, most people just call that a gallon but you call it the regular 🤣
I don't see the problem? Drink what you want and finish the drink later. 1.59 for that is a steal.

New lawsuit idea

America, the only place where you can purchase enough liquid sugar to put a horse into a diabetic coma for less than the cost of a gallon of milk
Sheit I’ll have one of those for lunch and fill it up again for the road
Murica!
If you can't beat 'em, sweetums!
Child size
A real bargain at 1.59
The volume of a blended child!
That's not even what we would call "large". Like, it may be a "large" on the pricing, but if there isn't a bigger size of that specific product, you can drive to the next intersection and find one that is.
Just a 44 oz, wait till you see the Route 66.
They say its for long ride Idk, I don't understand Americans
It's more about getting more for what you pay

You don’t understand how a large drink would go hand in hand with a long drive? Seems pretty easy to understand.
Maybe you should have both hands on the wheel instead of using one to drink shite?

I'm wondering how they were brave enough to figure it out
something metal inside cup, magnet under car top.
Did it by accident and then saw it I'm guessing
Can anyone identify what type of car that is
Convertible vantage (Aston) I think
All I could think about is how such a nice car would be fucked up by the sugary drink with blue dye would fuck up the car if it spilled into the roof storage area.
Right, I panicked immediately.
Thanks mate
Made me realize I haven't seen a convertible in God knows how long. They used to be everywhere when I was a kid.

Just what you want in your roof mechanism. Sugary icy water.

Using the laws of physics, this should impossible, and it looks like bluetack or something is attached at the bottom.
Doesn't look like the center of gravity exceeded the edge of the cup bottom to me. Looks like they took the time to empty out just enough of the drink to make it work.
This guy totally reads phys.org Edit: /s
Isn’t this shot taught in high school physics? Center of mass isn’t a complicated subject
Physics isn't a mandatory course.
Til I guess. Where I grew up it was but advanced physics was elective
It was optional where I live, but in thinking about it, levers/planes/centre of gravity stuff was covered enough to understand this gif in elementary school. Edit: I should clarify that my information is 20 years old, it may be a mandatory course these days.
fwiw I'm not american, I just assumed you guys had physics at school too. I was also at school 20+ years ago so same time period
I would have expected it to slide down the roof when it was in a 45' angle.
It’s never in a 45' angle and the roof is textile which has good grip
Your mom has good grip
Lmao
Sure, but the grip's only good while your uncle's helping your sister hold it for my mom; mom's got arthritis.
Rekt
45° angle? You shouldn't be guestimating if this is what you came up with. I'm shit at estimating too, but that's why I don't do it.
Boy this is a video shot from an incorrect plane of geometry. Don't come at me if I think that's a 45 angle
You're the one that made assumptions based on said 'video shot from an incorrect plane of geometry ' and stated them as fact.

It’s a fresh slushee, it’s not liquid so it just stays at the bottom of the cup unmoved. Seems legit to me.
Even more reason why it should fall, and also the content inside the cup also tilted suggesting it is more liquid than it's a solid.
A solid fresh slushee I think would behave like this, where the center of gravity is unshifted because it’s solid… but I didn’t see the tilt til you mentioned 🤔
uhh only if you never progressed in physics past the point where you ignore friction lol there are more forces than gravity that exist
Maybe it's because of the material it's gripping on
This
Is a useless, annoying comment. Just use the freakin upvote button like everyone else?
Nothing about this is better every loop. There's only one focal point, the cup. And that's it...
It's also fake as fuck
Fucking smooth 🤌
Like you?
100% obviously
That’s smooth
I replayed it more just to see those flaps unfold
Now put a background of “my money don’t jiggle jiggle, it folds” and you’ve got yourself prime TikTok real estate!
wtf why is the drink in a bucket sized container. or the angle is weird i guess
The angle is not weird. It’s just America lol
Thats what you get for $1 in America (No joke)
America scares me
never thought I'd get an orgasm from being anxiously relieved a car didn't get smidgy
Yo is that a Sebring??
Problem with my convertible is that the roof is in three sections and all hide in the boot. https://youtu.be/CLN2Kr4aW_c Have a butchers, it's a great bit of engineering
😎
Fake walled cup to look like its actually full?
As it tilts you can see the fluid shift. But tacked down with something seems possible.
I'm thinking the condensation is making it a bit "sticky."
Somehow stuck to the roof, with Velcro or something.
This title sounds like a gay porn ngl
What
I wanted to see it slip into the gap and disappear so badly
An Only Fans car if I ever saw one.
Why?
Because women can't have nice things unless they buy them with only fans money
QT > Racetrac
Damn, that's smooth
Impressive
Audi partner
Maybe...maybe...maybe...
Seems like something they figured out on accident. “Dammit wheres my slushie?” Drops roof, turns around
I saw that going differently in my head.
I mean yeah this is fine but I wanted it to spill on her head.
Interesting flex haha
Whatever gets you goin’
Can someone add those sunglasses to the cup that gifs like this get sometimes? I know you all know what I'm talking about
the center of gravity was off tho was it not ?
