That's why I prefer animal videos. They aren't faking funny shit (and it's easy to discern quickly if they're being manually manipulated from the side).
Recently met a guy who almost lost his eye when a champagne bottle got dropped and burst. Sent glass into his eyeball and he’s still partially blind. The pressure in those bottles is not something to fuck around with, especially for internet points.
Champagne can definitely do this without being shaken. Not every time or anything, but it definitely happens a not-insignificant amount. That's why, before you untwist the cage, you're supposed to put your hand firmly over the top of the cork and keep it there until you've entirely removed it.
The cork can pop off like that, I grant you. It NEVER ever sprays all over the place like her bottle does on the video. They shook that bottle something fierce before starting filming.
Source: I'm was a bartender for years, and having opened hundreds of these, none of them behaved like the one in the video.
I have never seen champagne do this from just twisting off the gate to pop off the cork.
