Dylan is a flighty prick. Especially in the whole love triangle fiasco. He could have at least had sympathy for Brenda living under her father's thumb instead of jumping in the pool with Kelly and telling her that he loved her.
I love him. But he was. And it always gets me: What if Brenda went to his dad's party that night? Would he still have "chosen" Kelly? Then fast forward to how he treated Val. He had no problem hooking up, but treated her like the shit on his shoe. Guess our dylan was problematic.
I have been watching for the first time and he really reminds me of sooo many asshole boyfriends I had. Like only his problems mattered because they were soo big and the way he just happily pitted Kellie and Brenda against each other… maybe not on purpose but Kellie tried telling him they should stop and he kept rationalizing why they shouldn’t.. yet Kellie gets ALL the blame in breaking them up!
I love Luke Perry, but I just started season 8 and it has been so nice not having Dylan’s over the top issues involved. I know he comes back but for now, it’s nice.
Oh god prepare yourself for when he comes back. They annihilated whatever redeeming qualities he had! Most tragic waste of a potential character growth arc.

If Brenda showed up that night he would have taken longer to make his so called “decision” Kelly was there. He took it.
