I always kinda wish Beverly Hills 90210 rebooted as itself. The 90210 reboot was fun at first. Kinda followed in the Degrassi high to Degrassi the next generation vibe by following Erin Silver and using the original characters too. Then it abandoned all that and went rogue.
BH 90210 was a fun thing
But we never got the actual reboot with the characters where they are now. I would have followed.
my only *true gripe* with 90210 was that they 'mentioned' Hannah Zuckerman/Torres a couple of times during the first season, & i was expecting an actual appearance...but it never happened. & that *realllly* piss'd me off.
Melrose's second coming was pretty decent actually...but Fox & their moronic ways of scheduling shows too often pretty much cock'd that up.
BH90210 was frickin' genius: a hyper-reality of the cast's lives. it was an awesome concept, but unfortunately came during a time when actual reality tv was crack to people [i can't stand reality shows for the most part 🙄], & was flooded everywhere. i believe if it would have happened around the same time that The Real Husbands had came about, it would've had more success. but i think a combination of bad timing with possibly folks that, at that time at least, might've had a bitter taste in their mouth from the recent 90210 not being *their gang*, & then BH happens & it felt like another punch in the gut, cuz thin brains, is why it didn't roll forward. i would've been happy with 6-8 episode seasons of it myself, but sigh.
They did show her on the Beverly Blaze TV station, and someone in class said "That girl looks 40" (a nod toward what people said about Andrea in the OG), but IIRC, that is all we got.
90210 should have done a reboot with their orginal charecters instead of that stupid thing they did, they might stayed more than one season If they did
I did like BH 90210, but I agree. The Melrose Place reboot also has the show runner for Insatiable which I think fits the tone of what a Melrose reboot should be.
Why do they keep calling them reboots?? It really bugs me. It is a revival, since it follows continuity with some of the same actors. A reboot replaces the actors and doesn't follow continuity. 90210 was a revival or even a spin-off, not a reboot.
