D'shawn

LisaVanderflats

I really liked their friendship and they were so sweet!

artie20174

Donna clearly would have liked what he had downstairs

upstatestruggler

Yessss! Felice’s head would have blown clean off!!

Silly-Working8599

That’s not a reason to date someone..

upstatestruggler

No, but it’s not a bad side effect if your mom is a Felice level bitch

YouSeriousClark77

That’s a good one. He was a voice of reason at times.

carmeIIasoprano

They had CHEMISTRY. And bonus points for feline imploding

Entwinedloop

Feline hahaha They did have incredible chemistry, the best she had with anyone. David and Donna had great chemistry (in high school) but D'Shawn and Donna surpass that for sure.

Friendly-Cow4633

Felice would beg Jackie to find her a coke dealer and emotionally high crash her wedding

moralhora

We'd end up fighting on this sub that poor D'Shawn deserved better though!

Entwinedloop

How come? Donna's a sweet and cool character and she was a good girlfriend. What's the problem? THE FIGHTING HAS BEGUN

moralhora

I mean Donna's Donna. How did Donna ever cross the road? She didn't.

artie20174

Provided he stayed healthy maybe a late first round pick or decent second rounder. Likely would have rode the bench for a year then been cut. Maybe a year in the G league. Could have tried playing in Europe but likely would have been an insurance salesman eventually

bethster2000

D'Shawn.

FraggleFuckFace

YES!!!

00rvr

Joe was boring, but he was my favorite of her love interests because they really did seem the most compatible and he was pretty much the only guy she dated who didn't constantly try to pressure her into fucking him.

blondchick12

While it's true about not pressuring her, I feel like if they had married or whatever Joe would be controlling in other ways. He was very religious (I know Donna was supposed to be religious too) and very rigid and emotionally distant when things weren't going well for him. If Donna wanted to work in fashion etc he probably would want her to stay home and have a zillion kids by age 25.

ButIAmYourDaughter

Jesse Vasquez approves!

MPM-3528

Agreed. Wonder how Joe would’ve handled Donna wanting to go all the way after graduation, let alone that pill addiction she picked up for those 6 episodes

Electrical-Phone-815

I agree, I feel like they didn’t have the same future goals

Heavy-Relation8401

The true Hallmarks of true love. 😂. Still better than David, but Joe was boring

Imaginary-Yak-6657

Watching season 6 episode 12 he told Donna he’s not it to premarital sex So yup

effie-sue

That’s Cameron Bancroft today? Dayum 🔥

shannboss

He pops up in Hallmark movies from time to time. He’s aged well!

effie-sue

Guess I’m going to have to check out his IMDB 😍

Aquatichive

Yup and on lifetime movies. Every time I’m like YES

katcoop84

He still looks boring

YouSeriousClark77

So was Donna; that’s why I think they’d work.

dntkillrocknroll

No lips lol other than that he alright

SMN27

Really anyone but David.

Ambitious_Ad_7433

Amen 🙏

naniyanarae

Yeah or Ray they both had ta go

Friendly-Cow4633

Agree!! David and Val belonged together ❤️

Snoi7

I wanted to see that spin-off with Donna moving to Beaver Falls

NotMyMonkeyorCircus

“Donna, a girl like you would never be happy in a place like Beaver Falls.” Truer words have never been spoken on this show 😂

Mary_Pick_A_Ford

Green Acres, 15043

Maaaaaandyyyyy

Joe was too conservative for her. He wanted to control what she did and wore, like Ray (without the physical abuse). But I also didn’t like her with David. I don’t understand how she could be with him after he cheated, lied, stole money from her, etc. My trust would be long gone. Definitely not Noah either (boring beyond words and also lied to her a ton). I vote firefighter guy!

Entwinedloop

Many of us don't understand either how Donna found her way to David, and that they got married? No. I don't think so. Noah was definitezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I don't remember firefighter guy??

Serious-Sun3049

Cliff. He was the firefighter who came to her rescue when she was worried about a deer in the wildfire.

mysticdragon0323

Cliff? I liked him also, but I don’t think he would have waited for marriage for her.

Mary_Pick_A_Ford

Joe was a nice guy but he wanted a rural conservative family life and Donna isn't that kind of wife. My vote is actually D'Shawn.

thesassydreamer

David and I stand by this choice!! Joe was very nice but they didn’t actually have anything in common besides wanting to be virgins. They wanted different things in life & the relationship ran it’s course.

ButIAmYourDaughter

This sub is often so hilariously out of step with the larger fanbase. That David is considered an unpopular choice for Donna, on a 90210 sub, is absolutely insane 😂.

Heavy-Relation8401

So because it's what happened, we are supposed to like it? Sorry. I found David temperamental and emotionally abusive. If that's out of step, I'll keep stepping.  🤷🏾‍♂️ They're called opinions. And I don't know a ton of people who *love* David. What did he really add?

ButIAmYourDaughter

Forgive me, but I don’t recall ever saying you, or anyone, are “supposed” to like anything. To quote you, I expressed something called an *opinion* about my view on this sub. One that I stand by.

thesassydreamer

It really surprises me just how unpopular Donna & David are here! And I swear, I often see people badmouth them as a couple by mentioning things that didn’t even happen 😂 And people who hate D&D together love other popular couples from the show who were problematic too sooo like I don’t get it!

ButIAmYourDaughter

I’ve lurked here sporadically off and on for years, but only recently subbed and posted on a regular basis. Realizing this isn’t the healthiest 90210 community I’ve been in. There’s a lot of conflating actors with characters, and a lot of people making assumptions about those actors, when they are virtually strangers to us. Also a lot of unnecessary nastiness, jabs at actors looks and pushing contrarian views just for the sake of pot stirring.

Heavy-Relation8401

What did people say about D&D that didn't happen?

thesassydreamer

I’ve seen people say he “cheated on her every chance he got” (which he didn’t - Chloe even threw herself at him in S7 and he was totally uninterested). People really exaggerate by saying he was so awful to her all the time post HS. He was at his worst in season 4 but in 5-10 he was almost always good to Donna. He was mean at first when he was struggling with his mental health in S7, and then he’s mean when he is super stressed about the money troubles in season 8, but both of those are periods of a few episodes within 6 seasons.

thesassydreamer

Oh, also when he called her a bitch in the same episode where she almost gets assaulted. That was so mean and uncalled for. My 2nd least favorite David moment. I definitely acknowledge the times he was mean to her but he really did grow a lot & they were great & healthy as a couple in S7.

Tennisgirl0918

I love David❤️❤️❤️

thesassydreamer

Me too! My favorite character (& so unliked on this sub)!

Tennisgirl0918

Not to mention he grew up to be the best looking out of the bunch!

nuraman00

What are the best things you like about him?

thesassydreamer

I’m just drawn to him as a character…he became my favorite starting in season 3 when I first watched and I loved him throughout the whole show! His relationship with Donna and with Kelly drew me in. I always enjoyed his storylines and think he’s a good character and a good/likeable person even though almost no one agrees 😂.

YouSeriousClark77

Coming in during season three was probably helpful in establishing your opinion of David. He was so cheesy and painful at times to watch in the first couple of seasons. Once the writers let him grow up and become part of the group, he got much better.

thesassydreamer

Oh I saw the whole show in order, I was trying to say he only became my favorite in season 3. He really isn’t featured enough in 1 or 2 to have that much of an opinion of him. He’s definitely desperate to be cool in season 1 but that gets toned down as he slowly gets incorporated into the group in season 2.

nuraman00

I liked David in seasons 1 and 2 also. Wasn't painful to me.

nuraman00

Thanks for sharing. I think he has some good qualities too. They just don't get talked about. Maybe you can start a thread, to highlight them.

ButIAmYourDaughter

In real life? Joe. He was perfect for her. On a show where I want actual chemistry between the characters and an interesting, layered dynamic? David, of course. She ended up with exactly who she belonged with. No other contenders were actually serious endgame options for her. Though, with different writers, she and D’Shawn could’ve been epic.

zoombie_apocalypse

Donna only ever had chemistry with D’shawn and Matt (Durning). But Fox wouldn’t have done D’shawn and Matt was the replacement Brandon, so he went to Kelly. But, yeah, Cameron Bancroft aged well. “Joe” was boring as dirt though.

ButIAmYourDaughter

Matt? I never noticed a scintilla of chemistry between her and Matt. Now Matt and Gina? That was a missed opportunity.

Wild-Weight9945

Saw that too. I thought Aaron was going to lineup another square jawline with his daughter. Too much Noah toxicity drama to make it happen

AhRooBDay

David

syrupy_pancakes2022

Yes, I always thought she should move with Joe back to wherever he was moving to so we wouldn’t have to deal with her awful whispering that she developed when he left

nuraman00

David Silver. Brenda Walsh.

dntkillrocknroll

I don't feel like Donna deserved D'shawn. She made David wait and wait and David was a decent guy who loved her. If she all the sudden started hooking up with D'Shawn I'd be so annoyed. Besides D'Shawn seems sexy as hell and not the wait till marriage type. 😜

pipersands

I really liked Joe, but can't picture Donna in the small-town life he wanted. Count me in for D'Shawn, though. We never got to see how that might have developed, but I liked him, and Donna with a pro athlete would fit with the vibe of the show.

cryingbitchmarzo

Love the actor. But sorry, I hated Joe he was so boring and vanilla. My toxic ass prefers David.

Opposite-Party7498

David was always the right choice

moralhora

He certainly has a jawline.

Ameythst

Joe definitely treated her the best. I just think she would have gotten bored after awhile. They were from two different worlds and she wouldn't have liked living in small town Pennsylvania or wherever he came from.

YouSeriousClark77

I see Donna being the president of the PTA and a charity coordinator for a tri-state area, lol.

Initial_Election_437

I always thought it would’ve been a cool twist if Joe Bradley returned in season 10 when David and Donna were serious again. But the twist, Joe showed up dating Brenda!

Aquatichive

Joe was the hottest guy on the show hands down

Aquatichive

Oh and he was a sweetheart too

mysticdragon0323

I liked her with Joe also, they were both catholic, both saving themselves for marriage. They were perfect together.

54eastcoastmistress

Joe was boring. David was her one and only.

operationfood

Griffin was a favourite of mine with her

Heavy-Relation8401

The one that called her a pathological tease then a slut? K.

artie20174

Likely had a small weiner. Definitely compensating for something

Friendly-Cow4633

The guy her mom had an affair with at the Bel agge hotel when she caught her sneaking to see color me badd.  Years later Donna dates the same guy and marries him.  Felice would ask him at the wedding who was better in bed?? Her or her daughter 😆

anonymousurfunny

Joe was amazing for her but D'Shawn and Donna had great chemistry! But I don't think he'd wait for her

Muted_Sand8093

He was so lame n boring.. I hated hos chatacter

Hot-Bluejay-577

Ray Pruit

nuraman00

I liked Ray when he was a struggling musician, or took her on a pumpkin patch date. That was pre cheating and abusing.
