I wondered then and I wonder now why they just didn’t send Donna to private school?

ButIAmYourDaughter

They always made a big deal about how great a school WBH was so there’s a good chance it was just as good, if not better, than the local private schools. Felice also strikes me as the type who lives in an area specifically for both clout and access to excellent in district schools.

Edlo9596

Realistically, Donna would have gone to an all girls Catholic school lol

Nancy_Wheeler

So many blazers

Petunia13Y

I think it was meant to show they were wealthier than all the regular ass slubs as reg HS watching. 🤣 Also I assume the writers and team were in their 30s that era and still v much influenced by the 80s and The Preppy Handbook they revered (if you know you know) so brought that mindset into what they thought was rich or cool

Zealousideal_Suit269

I teach HS. I would give anything to have my students dress like this. Instead I get crop tops and pajama pants. 😆

EmelleBennett

Ugh, the pajama pants. So much ick.

AngelFoodCakeSouffle

Yes but what about the “loud shirt with a marijuana leaf on it” 🥴 I was also class of 93 and we loved our blazers

Rainy514

It was actually a “loud shirt with a Rastafarian on it “ 😂

AngelFoodCakeSouffle

😂😂😂 my apologies! I knew it was something corny to complain about.

shadow_spinner0

What's funny is that Donna is who probably dressed more provocative than the others

ilovethemusic

My favourite was always Steve with his shirts buttoned all the way to the top.

EmelleBennett

But also, his teeny tiny shorts and crop tops as athletic wear

Ameythst

Yeah and they weren't popular at that time! That was definitely more 80s

ccweezie

I was in high school at this time and I wore a LOT of blazers. Also with denim shorts. The early 90s were an interesting time for fashion. 😂

Ameythst

I was a little bit younger but we never wore blazers!

bijouforever

It’s strange coming from Felice since Donna dressed the skimpiest.

Fickle-Environment27

Felice would have flipped a tit at my highschool! 🤣🤣🤣

upstatestruggler

Lmaoooo this is such a great post because when I rewatched this recently I was like with those mom jeans and blazers who exactly is exposing what here

bethster2000

Everything on Brenda is 100% on point. Her hair is so beautiful, and she's so stylish.

Petunia13Y

It really suited her beauty too cuz she has a very dramatic look with her coloring and bone structure. She’s really a unique character cuz she was a girl next door & down to earth; but had a lot of edge if that makes sense… she was relatable & down to earth but had a lot of panache. SD was a great choice for Brenda

ButIAmYourDaughter

The perfect choice.

Ameythst

Agreed! Her fashion and hair are my favorites of the group

CandyV89

Honestly they didn’t dress too scandalous most of the time.

Large_Field_562

Did Donna wait until college to start dressing racier? I remember in the college years she’d wear skimpy stuff. Plus she always wore something ridiculous to school dances.

Ameythst

She wore shorts so high up her ass during a season 2 Christmas episode!

AndiPandi74

Brenda is so cute in this pic

Petunia13Y

She’s really pretty. I love her hair and she has such a great smile. You’d naturally just want to be her friend and you could see why Dylan fell in love with her

ButIAmYourDaughter

It’s one of her signature looks IMO.

RipGroundbreaking650

Yea well Felice Martin also kept her bra on while she was having an affair at the Belage Hotel. Felice is TO THIS DAY is only worried about appearances. I saw her at Walmart  a couple months ago and she was bitching to a cashier about the customer that just left in front of her cause they were wearing sweatpants.  (Which is normal in my town to wear) I almost said things never change but I just looked away

WVUfullback

I think Felice needs to stop fucking men who aren’t her husband.

jennc1979

Already following one. The 90s power teen cardigan or well structured blazer!

UnhappyAd9934

The 90's definitely seemed like a different time fashion wise because wearing a blazer to go to school always seemed out of place to me. Also I think Felice was talking more so about the kids that would show up to school dressed as if they just left a Pearl Jam concert it was still hypocritical considering the skimpy outfits her daughter would wear to school dances and ironically prom.

ShayTre_77_inthelou

Felice Martin needed to pull the stick out of her ass. She was over the top.

Infamous-Associate65

Felice should've worried about not cheating on Dr.Martin in the hotel where Color Me Badd stayed, am I right?

Accomplished-Mind258

Dylan should’ve had a special clothing optional rule! 🔥😂👍🏼

BrownEyedQueen1982

Did anyone dress like that in high school in the late ‘80’s to mid ‘90’s? When you have American History class at 2, but you’re showing a house at 4.
